Roald Dahl's Childrens Books Are Now Being Censored By Woke Editors
It's not just deleting stuff considered "problematic" -- it's also adding stuff Dahl never wrote to increase the books' Woke Rating.
For example, out of nowhere, editors decided to make the Oompa-Loompas from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... gender neutral. Salman Rushdie, who knows something about extremist religious jihadis imposing their demonic dogmas on others, blasts the woke editors.ovelist Salman Rushdie led condemnations Monday of Roald Dahl's children's books being re-edited for a modern audience, calling it "absurd censorship" by "bowdlerising sensitivity police". Publishers Puffin have made hundreds of reported changes to characters and language in Dahl's stories including making the diminutive Oompa-Loompas in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" gender neutral and calling Augustus Gloop enormous rather than fat. Mrs Twit in "The Twits" is also no longer ugly, but beastly instead, while the Cloud-Men in "James and the Giant Peach" are now "Cloud-People". That has been. policy of mine for decades to not buy any theology books written after 1950. Nothing magical about 1950, but editors have since taken over and are destroying creative work in the name of making it palatable to some unspecific demographic that is easily offended, stupid, and/or intolerant of any views outside of the contemporary narrative.

Gamers do not care what the woke scolds think or want. They just want a fun game. The attempt to take over the gaming industry has been slightly successful at the production level (like the women front line combat soldiers being included in a Call of Duty game set in WW2) where woke is kind of taking hold, but all that's done is make gamers not buy that crap and get other games that haven't been so infected.

I'm using the various search engines, both "good" and bad to look up "15 minute city". Interestingly, the vast majority of the suggested links are Karens, Government Worshippers, Malthusians, Leftists, etc. who are characterizing the concept as heaven on earth, using traditional motte and bailey arguments to claim, without evidence or even a feeble attempt to demonstrate that anyone against it or even questioning is a conspiracy theorist and its even not worth debating because every claim against it has been "debunked".
I can't find any conspiracy theories or anything even challenging 15 minute cities in the search engines.

I read there was some crazy indigenous lady up in canada sponsoring community book burnings of books deemed harmful to the indigenous people. They had to stop the burnings during covid though.
Would it surprise you to learn that they are digging into her background, and shocker, she might not even be indigenous but white? If she has any native American blood at all it's from the 1700s, so like 90% of white Canadians.

- from what I recall, Fox was definitely NOT pushing the fraud story. Maybe some have changed because their audience refuses to ignore it.
It sounds to me like another propaganda attempt to explain whey 1/2 the country refuses to ignore the obvious fraud. And also maybe convince some of those people that they were lied to by Fox.

Yeah, sometimes it's necessary. When Stephen King wrote the Green Mile, in the first printing, it included a scene where a guy in a straitjacket wiped sweat off his brow. It was fixed in later printings.

-Left is trying to blame Trump. This makes me think a biden appointee was involved, perhaps at EPA when they decided "we have a problem - burn it."
- Unions are trying to blame job cuts. This makes me think it was caused by incompetence and over burdensome union work rules
- TPTB are trying to make it disappear. This makes me think it was caused by Leftest eco terrorists (those shunts, etc. they are doing lately.)

PV worked because we know the left extremely well and they don't know conservatives at all. There is no situation where reversing that doesn't result in failure and hilarity.
