Tennessee's Governor Signs Bill Outlawing "Gender Therapy" for "Prepubescent" Children (But Not Any Children Who Have Begun to Go Through Puberty)
Kristi Noem Signs a Real Law into Effect

Lot of transgender news today. I didn't make the schedule.

Note that the fact that this bill only applies to prepubescent minors means it barely protects any children at all.

It's a hoax. It's another Con the Rubes play by our repulsive and treasonous "leaders."

But check out the incredible bias in this AP "news" article about a law that actually aids and assists the cause of Transgenderism for Children.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- After signing two bills into law targeting transgender people over the past week, Tennessee's Gov. Bill Lee has approved legislation that bans gender-confirming treatment for young minors despite objections that the series of bills unfairly discriminate against an already vulnerable population.

I'm not even mad. This is amazing.

"Gender confirming treatment," the AP calls it -- in other words, we know this boy is actually a girl so we're just going to lop off his penis to "confirm" what is obviously true.

The move makes Tennessee just the second state in the United States to enact such a ban after Arkansas approved a similar version earlier this year over a veto from Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson.

Tennessee's version, which goes into effect immediately, is slightly different. Under the new law, doctors would be banned from providing gender-confirming hormone treatment to prepubescent minors. Arkansas' ban applies to anyone under the age of 18 and also specifically bans doctors from providing gender-confirming surgery.

This bill is actually Failure Theater to Con the Rubes -- it bans hormone therapy for prepubescent children, that, kids around, what, thirteen or younger?

That's the definition of "prepubescent:"

of, relating to, being in, or occurring in the period of development immediately preceding puberty

But gives the green flag to anyone who's merely started to go through puberty?

The very first Hair On Ball and it's time for the cancer-causing puberty blockers?

It's unclear how many will be affected by the new law. Advocates argue that no doctor in Tennessee is currently providing hormone therapy to youths before they enter puberty.

Probably only because very few children have thoughts about this kind of thing before the onset of puberty. I'm sure that even 9 year olds can get puberty blockers from the right butcher.

Note that this "news" article relies exclusively on the claims of activists -- "advocates argue" that no doctors are providing puberty blockers to the prepubescent.

What do the supporters of the bill say? Did AP even bother calling them?

Nah.

Meanwhile, the Endocrine Society also does not recommend offering puberty blockers or hormone treatments until children reach puberty.

So what's the problem? It's a bill designed to fool conservatives into thinking the Tennessee government is doing something -- and that's still too much for the rabid sexual left, as represented here by this AP "journalist."

The problem, it turns out, is how the bill makes "targeted" trans youth feel unsafe.

It doesn't actually do anything -- or at least nothing much. Even the AP concedes that medical authorities already recommend against giving puberty blockers to kids not even in puberty.

But it feels so icky!

However, with Lee signing off on the legislation, Tennessee continued its streak of being on the front lines of Republican statehouses across the country targeting the LGBTQ community through legislation. Only Texas has filed more anti-LGBTQ proposals this year than Tennessee.

Lee, who is up for reelection next year, quietly signed the measure on Tuesday without commenting on why he approved of the contentious legislation. Such bans have been opposed by several medical and child welfare groups, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association.

And have any groups supported them?

Again, AP doesn't want to tell you.

Which is strange for a "news" service.

But not strange at all for a rabidly-passionate advocacy organization.

Just a day earlier, the first-term Republican governor signed off on legislation that would require businesses and government facilities open to the public to post a sign if they let transgender people use multiperson bathrooms, locker rooms or changing rooms associated with their gender identity. The law, which goes into effect July 1, is the first of its kind to be signed.

In a statement, American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee Executive Director Hedy Weinberg said the group is "prepared to challenge" the bathroom sign requirement in court, and asked businesses affected by it to contact the organization.

The ACLU fights to impose "gender neutral" bathrooms on private businesses -- and then when Tennessee passes a bill stating that businesses that have "gender neutral" bathrooms must warn the public of this fact (or advertise this fact -- I mean, everyone loves this, right?), then businesses suddenly acquire a constitutional right to be free of government imposition.

Lee also signed legislation late last week that puts public schools and their districts at risk of losing civil lawsuits if they let transgender students or employees use multiperson bathrooms or locker rooms that do not reflect their sex at birth. It was the first bill restricting bathroom use by transgender people signed in any state in about five years, according to the Human Rights Campaign.

Well that is something.

But the ban on gender hormone therapy for only the youngest of kids?

That's nothing. That's typical Con the Rubes bullsh!t.

Speaking of typical Con the Rubes bullsh!t, Cowboy-Hat-Wearing, Gun-Holding governor Kristi Noem (you know she's a Real Conservative because, look at the hat and the gun!!!) has also signed into law some measures to curb the butchery of children.

Gov. Kristi Noem signed House Bill 1080 into law Monday, prohibiting several forms of gender-affirming care for minors.

"Care."

The bill prohibits several forms of bottom surgery, prohibits the potential for top surgery for those assigned female at birth and prohibits hormone therapy and puberty blockers.

Note that the media again euphemizes -- the bill specifically forbids cutting off the penis of boys, and sealing the vagina and creating a fake penis made from skin from the arm or thigh for girls. They call this "top or bottom surgery," which is the cutesy euphemism that the butchers have created to hide the horrors.

That sounds like a pretty good law -- unlike Tennessee's fake "prohibition." Kristi Noem might have learned her lesson. Last time she tried to Con the Rubes when she refused to sign a bill protecting girls sports for girls, claiming that she just didn't want to create a "boon for lawyers" or whatever bullsh!t excuse she gave.

This is the farthest any healthcare ban has gone for transgender individuals in the state in the last five years, and will have several implications for gender-diverse children, their parents, medical providers and the LGBTQ+ community at-large.

Noem signed this bill with little media notice and without any press conference or media event as she held when she signed House Bill 1217, which limited transgender students' participation in sports, into law last year.

Again, dodging the media.

Do they think that parents want this crap being pushed on their kids? Do they wholly live in the leftwing media bubble?

Here's what the law does:

The new law prohibits health care professionals from providing the following forms of care for patients under 18 who want to alter the appearance of, or validate their perception of, their gender if it doesn't match their sex assigned at birth:

Any drug to delay or stop puberty;

Testosterone, estrogen or progesterone, "in amounts greater than would normally be produced endogenously in a healthy individual of the same age and sex;"

Performing "any sterilizing surgery, including castration, hysterectomy, oophorectomy, orchiectomy, penectomy and vasectomy;"

Performing "any surgery that artificially constructs tissue having the appearance of genitalia differing from the minor's sex [assigned at birth] including metoidioplasty, phalloplasty and vaginoplasty;" or,

Removing "any healthy or non-diseased body part or tissue."

Any minors taking prescriptions or being administered drugs or hormones prohibited by this new law will have to stop taking those prescriptions, drugs or hormones by Dec. 31, 2023.

...

This law doesn't apply to minors born with a medically verifiable disorder of sex development, diagnosed with a disorder of sexual development, or minors needing treatment for an infection, injury, disease or disorder that's been caused or exacerbated by gender-affirming care.

Noem said in a statement that the bill protects kids from "harmful, permanent medical procedures."

I'm not sure why you couldn't just outlaw so-called, "gender reassignment" surgery within a state completely, for anyone of any age.

Just state, it is impossible, biologically and physiologically, to reassign a person's gender, and as such, it is a type of medical fraud and a mutilation of a person's body and as such we will not give our imprimatur to fraud and mutilation.

87 I took my kids to an Episcopalian church this past weekend for Scout Sunday.

The sermon was delivered by a flamboyantly gay priest extolling the virtues of chopping the dicks off of little boys.

On the way out, I asked him what other mistakes God has made. He looked at me absently, so I pointed out that saying someone can be "born in the wrong body" is saying, categorically, that God erred. What else, then, is God wrong about?

He couldn't answer that question, so I asked why he thought a day explicitly listed as a day for children would be an appropriate venue for a Team Trans sermon. He couldn't answer that one either.

They're after our kids.

That's what they say every time one of these bills comes up. "What's the point? Nobody does this!" And then a few months later the story changes to "Oh, yeah, except for the 5,000 that were done at this facility. But other than that, nobody does this!"

Think there's a difference between age of onset. For the young ones, there's typically some encouragement from one or both parents (feels Munchausen by proxy-ish), see Jazz Jennings.

With teen onset is sounds like its more of a peer our other outside force and the kid and/or outside authority (teacher, doctor) threatens the parents to go along with it or the kid will be taken away (see that poor girl in VA being raised by her grandmother who was taken by the state and then sex trafficked).

Lee is little more than another Noem or DeWine but that state's legislature actually is doing some good stuff in regard to the leftwing cities. Texas could have but waited too long.

But circling around, I don't know how to stop the nonsence but it doesn't help to just talk about it. When we're members of communities, we need to be attending or watching school board meetings, county council meetings, etc. as often as possible. Submit questions to the boards, get answers, get copies of minutes, know your representatives, have your family and friends watch televised government meetings.

For that is what the Left does from the ground up.

In 1985, a typical American man needed 40 weeks of income to cover his family's major costs, leaving 20% of his income for other things; in 2022, it was 62 weeks. A man working a comparable full year does not come to close to covering that same set of essentials as in 1985.

I agree with you. It's a matter of style. I prefer organ or piano music to bands. I've never had a band in the churches I serve, but if that's what people prefer and they're drawn closer to Christ through that what's the problem as long as the lyrics are in keeping with a sincere/Biblically based, God glorifying and Christ elevating worship? Some Christians like to go to traditional Quaker meeting where's the no music, no order of worship and no clergy-just silence until any individual gets up to witness an I wouldn't make an assessment of the Christain commitment based on the outward form of worship.

Yes, Roman Catholic. I'm referring to the awful songs (looking at you Oregon Catholic Press) to which American Catholics have been subjected since the 1970s. Centuries-worth of beautiful hymns were jettisoned for insipid ditties.

On the bright side, I've just managed to wrangle myself into the parish's new Worship Commission. Since the USCCB has declared a mission of Eucharistic Revival, I intend to say that means what we've been doing hasn't been working, and we need to bring reverence back into celebrating the Mass.

It takes some music theory and understanding of how music affects people and is appropriate for certain kinds of lyrics and moods or not to really understand the difference here.

227 Ace, read the text of the bill before you starting whining. It bans any procedure before 18:

SUMMARY OF BILL AS AMENDED (003624, 003880): Prohibits a healthcare
provider from knowingly performing, administering, or offering to perform or administer, a
medical procedure for the purpose of enabling a minor to identify with, or live as, a purported
identity inconsistent with the minor's biological sex, or treating purported discomfort or distress
from a discordance between the minor's biological sex and asserted identity. Creates an
exception for medical procedures used to treat a minor's congenital defect, precocious puberty,
disease, or physical injury, or if the performance or administration of the medical procedure
began prior to July 1, 2023 and concludes on or before March 31, 2024. Prohibits a person from
knowingly providing a hormone or puberty blocker to a minor if the provision of the hormone
or puberty blocker is not in compliance with the proposed legislation

228 As for the comment above about Tennessee not being "red enough" or being like Georgia, you need to get your head examined.

It has a super majority Assembly and Senate GOP majority. It hasn't had dim governor in decades. It has a single dem congressman in the entire state, and zero dim congressmen in Nashville (as they split the seat and now three GOP congressmen share Davidson county). Trump won by 30+ points each time. Meanwhile Georgia is a blue state. Its not even close.

This (and the coverup regarding the condition of certain Democrat leaders) is a Soviet level of news.

There was never a single moment in the history of the Soviet Union where the state media were as perfectly controlled as they are in the 21st century USA.

I have pointed out since I was barely more than a college student, that if Madison Avenue ran the General Administration for Literary and Publishing Affairs in the Soviet Union, the shit might have actually worked.

230 I'm making $100 an hour working from home. i was greatly surprised at the same time as my neighbour advised me she changed into averaging $100 however I see the way it works now. I experience mass freedom now that I'm my non-public boss.
I highly recommend everyone to apply… www.Payathome7.com
