JK Rowling Threatens to Sue a Death-Threat Spewing Drag Queen; Extracts (Insincere) Apology

This drag pyrsyn previously called for JK Rowling to be burned at the stake. Rowlings did not report him for this colorable death threat. The drag pyrsyn claimed the call to violence was "metaphorical."

The drag pyrsyn then went on to suggest he was behind getting a pro-gay activist, Fred Sergeant, suspended from Twitter -- because this pro-gay activist was turning a bit sour on transgenders' maximalist and lunatic demands.

According to John Sexton, the drag pyrsyn then threatened to have his "solicitors" sue Twitter to reimpose the ban.

The drag pyrsyn, JJ Welles, deleted his tweets, but JK Rowling screencapped this one, in which, referring to her, he blows off his own call for violence as "hyperbolic metaphor" and then says that Rowling "is a nazi or has views that align with them."

JK Rowling is now fed up, and says that if this shman is siccing lawyers on zis enemies, maybe she would like to play too.

Unstated: JK Rowling has very well-paid lawyers, and this drag queen bugman has lawyers who are only not well paid, but in fact entirely non-existent, as he's another repulsive dead-end brokeass failure living out a curated fantasy life on Twitter that he cannot afford to live in the real world.

At that point, JK Rowling announced that she had called her lawyers and would now sue this ugly little parasite into dust.

The drag pyrsyn's lawyers seem to have advised shim that shem would lose in court.

Prompting the deletion of the Nazi defamation, and this insincere apology:

That apology is of course insincere, which is a plus. I'm tired of these extremist criminals forcing everyone else to apologize -- it's time to start making them issue forced apologies every other day.

It's time to give them the gift of Coerced Speech.

Of course, it's hard to work this in America, which has a rule regarding defamation: If you defame someone and you're leftwing, it's not defamation but merely "protected opinion," but if you defame someone (or tell the truth about them) and you're on the right, well then, in that case it's not opinion but a defamatory fact and you're liable for the libel.

Still, I think we all must be more litigious, starting GiveSendGo donation drives, if needed, to pay for lawsuits. Ethan Van Sciver said, "Ignore them when you can, sue them when you can't."

Lawsuits are expensive for them, too. And you never know what discovery may disclose.

UK libel laws are so very broad for a weird and antiquated reason.

It all dates back to the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers. The Parliament wanted to ban speech against the King or themselves, but doing so would have been scandalous.

So they made *any* speech that damages *anyone* libel, whether the speech is true or not. Then they simply selectively applied the law to people who printed things they didn't like. The Worshipful Company went along and made sure that nothing anyone printed would rock the boat too much. Rupert Murdoch upended the guild, but the law remains.

In the modern era, it's made for... interesting case law.

I have wondered at the arbitrarily large bank accounts that the NGOs have access to. Is there a limit on how much they can spend before they decide it's not worth it? Governments around the world can keep them afloat, but not indefinitely, as that just causes more and more global inflation.

I testified in a court case and consistently used "he" where the sex of the person was either not known or not relevant. I half-expected to be admonished for this, and had my response ready, but the judge had been an English major (who had previously appreciated a fine point of usage I'd made in an expert report), and a pretty cool guy. He might face off against another barrister from his own Chambers in that situation, since criminal barristers usually work both sides of the aisle.

I haven't played it and I don't think people have run through it far enough to tell but supposedly the world is pretty huge and there's flexibility. How much, is anyone's guess. From what I have read and heard it sounds like they put as much effort into making it as deep, varied, and enormous as possible in order to maintain play.

However, eventually people are going to have finished it and without mods, the replay value is probably going to be limited.

So first you have to convince a solicitor that you have a case, then he has to convince a barrister that indeed there is a case. Harder to take people to court in the UK. Also it used to be that solicitor and barrister had fees rather than a % of what could be gotten from the other party. Finally it used to be that the loser paid all court costs. I don't know if much has changed now.

A 60+ guy with a Lear jet strapped to him towing a boatload of cash who also had a pot belly, and wore ridiculous clothes along with gold chains with a twenty-something smokeshow. He will put up with her inane chatter and irritating ways just to be seen with her. This was pre-Viagra. Bedroom? Maybe like Anna Nicole's rich oil man, she just had to motorboat him as he couldn't do anything else. Now with Viagra, I imagine the "work" has taken on a more gruesome tone but those are the unwritten rules for some.

Its a double edged sword. The anchor that gets popular pulls in viewers just to hear what Chad Cleftchin says about the news. But it also creates a monster that demands more control, money, exposure, etc.

yeah, you might get a certain amount of brand loyalty for having Walter on there, but that is countered by those who hated Walter never seeing your stuff. But newspapers did fine by having multiple columnists in them, until the papers died first.

I just think you could have done fine rotating them and having them do other things in between instead of scrub reporters hankering to reach elite Anchor status and never work again. And being replacable would have held down the self importance that helped destroy media credibility.

I was about 14 when the first one came out. Even then the visuals were cool for the time but the plot was simple, so simple it felt like they were going for an old serial feel. It stuns me that almost 50 years later grownups delve deep into the plot like there is something there. There ain't nothing but nostalgia. I grew up watching things like "Them!" on TV so I will still watch it every few years for the gear and nostalgia, but I can't imagine wondering what happened to the characters and thinking hard about an intricate backstory and have no need for a sequel. There's more cultural deepness to the Three Stooges, seriously
