CNN: Biden Lied When He Claimed He "Invited" the FBI to Search His House.
He Merely Allowed Them To -- And They Were Considering a Warrant If He Refused.

According to a new report from CNN, of all places, Biden wasn't originally willing to consent to have the Justice Department search his home and only agreed to it after Justice Department indicated it would seek a warrant if necessary. "Biden's team stresses that it was cooperative in the lead-up to Friday's search and even expressed an eagerness for the search to happen as expeditiously as possible to move the investigation along -- and to try to put the matter behind them," CNN reports. "For its part, the Justice Department had decided it would conduct the latest search -- and any subsequent searches -- after Biden's team handled earlier searches themselves. Federal investigators also were prepared to seek a warrant if they did not get consent to search the Wilmington property, according to multiple sources."Matt Margolis points out that the media keeps claiming Biden is "fully cooperative" as a way to distinguish his documents from Trump's -- but that's a lie. Biden was only willing to grant the FBI access to his home when he realized the other possibility was a headline-grabbing adversarial search following a court-issued warrant. CNN claims that Biden was never threatened with a warrant:
The Justice Department, however, never raised the possibility of a warrant during the recent discussions, according to a law enforcement source, even though the possibility loomed if Biden's team didn’t cooperate.Sure. I'm absolutely sure that Merrick Garland and the other Biden Praetors in the FBI had no way of alerting Biden's lawyers through back-channels that a warrant was being considered. Pull the other one, it's got bells on it. (I don't know what that means but they say it in this situation.)

Meanwhile, the National Archives says it's considering -- just considering -- asking all former presidents and vice presidents to search their homes and offices for classified documents they shouldn't have. But only considering it! And note they're not considering asking congressmen to conduct searches, nor are they considering asking high-ranking intelligence, FBI, and DOJ officials to search their papers for classified documents, even though we know that these people routinely ignore the law and take classified documents out of the SCIF with them. Joe Biden has been clinging to classified documents he's had since his days as a senator, and we all know about former National Security Advisor Sandy Berger. But of course the National Archives merely wants to be seen as being determined to get hold of all missing classified documents, so their frame-up of Trump looks on-the-level. But they don't actually want to find all these many, many missing documents. Now this isn't really related, but I don't know where else to put it. Hamilton68 is the leftwing "disinformation" group which has repeatedly branded social media accounts as "RUSSIAN AGENTS" or "Russian bots" without evidence. They claim they have some Black-Box Algorithm to make these conclusions, but this Black-Box technology is never explained, and seems a lot like Elizabeth Holmes' Miracle Blood Analysis Technology. Even Twitter pushed back against Hamilton68 behind the scenes (of course), as we learned from the Twitter files, noting that Hamilton68 kept claiming this or that account was a "RUSSIAN AGENT," but their own analysis showed nothing of the sort. Hamilton68 pushed its made-up, evidence-free "analyses" to Democrat Senators and congressmen like Noted Non-Vietnam Vet Richard "Danang Dick" Blumenthal and the nearly braindead Diane Feinstein, who then pushed them to the public and media. And apparently Matt Taibbi has a coming exposé about this Fake News smear group. And apparently Bill Kristol is involved. I can see all your #ShockedFaces through the computer screen.

It's odd that Twitter can't confirm it, isn't it? Most of this kind of analysis is an assessment of the networks. A person follows a person who follows a person back who follows another person and so on. The network around an account can tell you a lot, like if the person is an Antifa sympathizer or involved in deviant pornography or is supported by a Russian botnet or public Russia sympathizers. It isn't a slam-dunk "these people are in the network and therefore this other person is a Russian Agent|Antifa|Pervert|etc," but it is actually a decently reliable analysis tactic.
So you'd think that people with *full* access to the network - that is, Twitter - would be able to test the assertion and confirm or deny it pretty easily. This is *especially* true if those people with full access also share your objectives.

Here's what I really found interesting: I don't think for a moment the showrunners meant to create an anti-feminist message, but a couple episodes really tend that direction. Early on, there's some talk of "these old white men are never going to give a girl like you a chance, you've got to fight for it," but it becomes clear they gave her lots of chances, more than she deserved in fact. To the very end, many of them wanted to believe in her and give her free rein, until she finally proved she didn't deserve it.

It depends. When did her heart stop? and where were the blood vessels hit other structures. You can bleed into internal sites. TV doesn't really do a good job of preparing your for reality. If you work in an inner city ER or live in the hood you've seen people shot a few times. Sometimes there's a lot of blood, sometimes there's not.

I don't claim to know what the new rules are but, once upon a time, you had to be cleared for that level of access AND have a need to know that information. Ah, okay. Then it *was* a SCIF. If you were allowed in (I wasn't - I didn't have a clearance, which was tricky when my expertise was needed. Lots of sending messengers back and forth and having their notes examined before I was allowed to read them), you had to check your cell phone and there were secure phones for dealing with government reps who requested them. Calls started as non-secure but could be re-established on secure lines according to requests.
Since we weren't Bidens, we couldn't just keep it all in the garage.

My first job after college, I did contract work for a gov't org. We did some of our work in a giant vault (even had a rotary locking mechanism on the door) and that's where we did anything even remotely-connected to classified work. I didn't have any direct access to anything all that exciting, but we had computers (off-network) in there, and one time I brought a thumbdrive in to copy something to the pc I was working on. As soon as I copied it over, I realized I had screwed up. By bringing that in there, the drive immediately became SCIF material, and there was a whole big process for its disposal. I thought about just quietly slipping it back into my pocket, but I knew that would be a lot worse if someone happened to find out.

The SCIF at my office had a man-trap style entrance (like an airlock, where one door must close before the other can open) that included a scale. It weight you on the way in and on the way out. If your weight increased by more than a couple of pounds on the way out, it would lock down until someone could search you. You could probably smuggle some papers out, but nothing in large quantity.

A lot of that stuff was found on the Weiner laptop, as well as her unsecured computer servers. They tried to portray this as a "private email" issue.
The really high level stuff is stored in a SCIF on computers or whatever, that is never, ever connected to the Internet. That's kind of the whole point. Classified documents, spy satellite imagery.
The only possible way for those items to jump the "air gap" was through theft, or someone taking pictures and uploading them onto their computers, scanning/copying at home.

That's it, no Step 2, no special codes, he just declares them declassified and they are.'

It wasn't that uncommon in the National Guard. Sometimes Soldiers didn't want to go to all the schools/training for promotion, or they wanted a nice, mindless, no-responsibility job at drill (truck driver, mechanics, infantry), or they stayed with one little, remote unit in the middle of nowhere, and there were few vacancies to get promoted into.
This is becoming much less common, though, as people who stay in are usually willing to move between units for promotion opportunities, instead of just staying with their local community unit for their whole career.

My grandfather was in the Air Force back in the fifties/sixties. He had a roommate early on who had five sets of uniforms, E-1 through E-5. Guy had a silver star earned as a gunner in WWII, but really liked to drink, so he'd get promoted every time he was eligible, and then eventually go on a bender and get knocked back down...

If you were to take notes they must remain in that workspace with specific storage and access requirements.
When you are “read on” to a specific named intel program you basically sign your life away and it comes complete with dire warnings of imprisonment. When you leave for another job or you no longer need to know your are “read off” that program with even more threats.
Users are not authorized to read others on and off. There is a specific security manager who handles the administration of cleared personnel but does not have decision authority to read people on.

The SCIF at my office had a man-trap style entrance (like an airlock, where one door must close before the other can open) that included a scale. It weight you on the way in and on the way out. If your weight increased by more than a couple of pounds on the way out, it would lock down until someone could search you. You could probably smuggle some papers out, but nothing in large quantity.

Not always. I was in a saturated MOS (91A-91B, which was the old MOS for medic), and the likelihood of me making E-5 was slim to none. I thought about reclassing, but by then I was sick of the Army.
Should have gone combat arms. Would have been more fun than running an Aid Station that saw way too many STDs and not enough fun stuff like stabbings and broken limbs.

In an earlier life when I was a defense contractor working in industrial security and the FSO of a facility with classified on site, there was any number of stories making the rounds about Private Last Class going to the restroom, leaving a classified folder he had with him on the back of a toilet tank, finishing his business and then walking out without it for someone else to find.
In those days they knew how to find out who had it because keeping track of classified documents and where they were and who had them was an actual thing the government used to care about.
There was no better way for an enlisted man to end up manning a radar screen in the Aleutians on Shemya Island.

Another issue about classified material is that you must have "need to know." You might be cleared for programs XXX and YYY, but not ZZZ.
Besides the fact that Joe Biden was probably stealing classified material to sell to the Chi-Coms, this whole $h!T-show reveals how unseriously the non-DoD personnel treat classified material. Former VP Pence shouldn't have had classified material in an unsecure facility, either.

It's a variation of saying "You're pulling my leg", except you're telling the person doing it that they should pull the other leg. The most famous example of this is seen in Monty Python and the Holy Grail during the Pigeon Sketch, right after Arthur claims he's king of the Britons.
the "It's got bells on it" is slightly more obscure, but comes from Terry Pratchett (rest in peace) and his inner jokes about Morris Dancers.

The idea of the phrase, therefore, is that the person who's leg is being pulled is a Morris Man.
