The Morning Report — 1/16/23

alienMLKjr.jpg

Good morning kids. Well, things have gotten so bad for old Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants – by bad I mean farcical because the odds of him facing any real criminal consequences or loss of his ill-gotten gains are slim to none – that now there are actually betting sites that are giving odds as to the next location where he's stashed national security secrets. Buckingham Palace, the Grand Canyon and an envelope at the Oscars were some of the goofier ones. For me, where's the nearest Baskin Robbins or Cold Stone Creamery to the Chinese Embassy in DC? You'll find them in a 10 gallon bucket of Ben & Jerry's Rachel Corrie Crunch.

I don't claim to be channeling Mort Sahl, Mel Brooks, or Carson's writers from their heyday, but if I can come up with zingers like that (and at best it's a chuckle [I hope]), you'd expect them to be all over late night television. The lack thereof is quite telling as to the state of our culture. The last time a Democrat was openly ridiculed was by the late Don Imus all the way back in 1996 at the Radio-Television Correspondents Association dinner. I've linked here to the article from The New York Times but really only for the fact that back then, even the headline was quite revelatory about the media:

Unexpectedly, the Clintons Are Skewered at a Dinner

". . . Mr. Imus made fun of President Clinton's supposed extramarital affairs and Hillary Clinton's legal problems -- with both the President and the First Lady sitting on the dais as he spoke."

If Imus really was so horrendous as those quoted in the article claim, you'd think the Slimes would've stated something bit stronger than "made fun of" to describe his remarks that night. But what was so "unexpected?" A comedian or in point of fact a glib, unfiltered, drug- and booze-addled shock jock actually doing his schtick or that the subjects he was ripping were Democrats, and at that time, the equivalent of Democrat DC royalty?

Don Imus was no Rush Limbaugh, politically, intellectually and in every other way imaginable. The point is, comedians et al used to spoof everybody. Now, humor is a propaganda weapon with which to beat up on anything not of, by and for the Left. Hence, the complete dearth of anything resembling even the mildest most inoffensive little dig at Biden. Not just on this issue, which in the cold light of day is either gross incompetence and negligence, but more than likely treason, but on things like Biden shaking hands with invisible people, the groping and sniffing of teeny-boppers, the clueless wandering off, the stumbling down stairs and everything, which had he been Gerald Ford would've launched multi-decade careers in Hollywood.

So what really is this all about? Why is all of this coming out now? Despite the embarrassing, amateurish spin by the media to defend Biden while still sliming Trump, the fact that all of this is coming out means that the powers who are controlling him from a basement somewhere in Kalorama want him gone. Either he's going off script or is so obviously demented as to be unpredictable.

No matter what happens here, none of it looks good for the Left. Perhaps they'll bribe Kevin McLuntz and the McGOP to institute 25th Amendment removal proceedings and claim his dementia caused him to horde these documents. But since this began at least as far back as when he was VP, nearly 15 years ago, that's kind of embarrassing for the Dems. Yet that leaves them with Veep Throat Harris as next in line, and I don't think she's the preferred successor.

While I'm tempted to shout "Pass the popcorn!," the sad, horrible truth remains that our nation is in the hands of sick, evil criminals who have zero compunction when it comes to maintaining their stranglehold on power. Look what they did to our country and our society.

By the way, today is the official holiday marking observance of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a man who devoted his life to helping create a society based on the content of one's character, not on the color of one's skin.

Considering the D-I-E crowd's drive to reinstate their version of the Nuremberg Laws, I fully expect all the streets named after Dr. King in every black neighborhood in the nation to be re-renamed, and all the statuary torn down.

Unless it's a set of hands fondling a giant penis. I guess there's a new meaning to the term "free at last!"

Just minutes ago liberal/Liberal CP24/CTV showed a piece on Biden and the Top Secret documents and the still photos illustrating it were all unflattering, showing him looking like the confused dementia patient he is rather than the usual selected 'normal' photos of him.

Sure. I am far more worried, though, about the crap that isn't just sloppiness and lack of care. The documents stashed at his house and office weren't left there by accident.

So, if there's some upper boundary for crops to grow in Canada and Russia for instance every four years they're losing a mile of farmland to colder temps and sunlight. Multiply that mile by the circumference of the planet at that longitude and it's a big fvcking deal. A bigger deal than 1 degree centigrade rise in temperatures.

Two different things. Americans are losers and worship losing. We worship our graves, our dead and our loses but never our wins and successes. We worship the Alamo but not San Jacinto (where TX won and gained its independence). We worship December 7th when Pearl Harbor was destroyed but no one can name VE or VJ day.

So the Vietnam memorial is a continuation of losers celebrating death and loss.

The goofy "Embrace" is not about losing. I'll take it over this dysfunction over how bad America is.

Ummm, that would be 53 billion people in poverty last year. Something seams off. If it is supposed to be thousands instead of millions, that would be 53 million people, or about 1/7th of the population, which is about 14%. Seems high given the official figures (available for 2021) of about 11.6%.

I am not disagreeing with the premise, by the way. The "War on Poverty" has been a multi-dimensional disaster for decades and the level of annual spending demonstrates that poverty cannot be solved by means of redistribution (if it could, we would have solved it by now given the sums we've spent), but those numbers seem high, even after reducing them by an order of magnitude.

249 No matter what happens here, none of it looks good for the Left.

The 25th Amendment doesn't remove the President. It only transfers his powers to the Vice President as "acting president," and then only when you can get a two-thirds majority of both houses to agree to it. And I'm not sure that's even permanent. The vote occurs when the president informs Congress that he's prepared to resume his duties. If Biden notifies Congress every day of this, then do they need to hold a vote every day? That will turn into a political circus.

261 Good morning everyone. Thank you J.J.

Saint for the Day
St. Priscilla of Rome (1st c.) was a Christian noblewoman who served as a benefactor to the Christian community in Rome. She supported St. Peter the Apostle, the first Bishop of Rome, and her home near the catacombs served as his headquarters. She was the wife of Manius Acilius Glabrio, a Roman politician, who was executed by the Emperor Domitian for atheism, that is, his refusal to worship the Roman gods because he was Christian. Priscilla buried him in what was once a quarry and donated the property to the Church so that others could also be laid to rest there. Her catacombs, known since the earliest days of Christianity as the "Catacombs of Priscilla" are also referred to as the “Queen of the Catacombs” because such a large number of martyrs and popes were buried there. It also holds a significant collection of early Christian iconography including the earliest known depiction of the Madonna and Child. St. Priscilla was also martyred for her Christian faith and buried there. Her feast day is January 16.

264 How to Regulate Pediatric Gender Medicine

**********

Among the measures put forth as ways to regulate pediatric gender medicine:

1. Systematic 'expert' review of entire body of research, overseen by state medical boards.
2. Informed parental consent
3. Clearing the way for malpractice suits against gender practitioners
4. Block Medicaid funding

The first two suggest using the state-level bureaucracy to define what constitutes allowable medical studies to include in the conversation, and are probably pipe dreams. Over-reliance on a bureaucracy to define valid information vs. misinformation is fraught with peril.

The second two seem to me to have more potential to achieve a meaningful check on the current 'mal'-practice of pediatric gender medicine.

Long and short of the hypothesis:

Our Betters think we've gone past peak oil. They know it will be devastating when people want to continue using oil and there is no oil to use because we've run out of it, and it will lead to revolts and revolutions when they can't.

So Our Betters decided that, since they know we're out of oil, we should have a controlled descent. The virus played a big role in it regarding conditioning and use, and inflation is playing a role because people are driving less now than during the mandatory government lockdowns. EVs, solar, blackouts, etc. are all tied together to make things "sustainable"

Death of billions is not only expected but needed in order to balance out the use of resources.

Except: They lie. The hen that eats grass --free range-- is almost immune to bird flu.

There was a priest who came in wearing some puffy jacket and "youngish" looking shoes and I guess he has a collar, but I didn't see it. He must be newly ordained.
Anyway, I had to laugh because I said to FenSpouse-That's the priest" and He said "I thought he was just ordinary guy connected wih the church.Anyway, he then reappeared in his clerical robe and he used the collar microphone which I smiled at because he kept tugging at his microphone.I guess it was uncomfortable. At the end of the service he gave the blessing and said "Have a good day" and smiled and he looked really tired. Spouse said "Maybe he just rolled out of bed for the Mass.

According to Zillow, the lot was purchased back then for $350,000 and the property is now estimated to be worth more than $1 million, though a real estate expert put that figure closer to $2 million. During his vice presidency, he rented out a cottage on the property to the Secret Service for $2,200 a month.

... and Hunter rented it at $598,920 a year ? Hunter could own it in 2 to 4 years.

True to form, they framed the question as about "80 FBI agents" working on suppressing conservatives.

While I haven't followed every detail of the Twitter Files, one of the clearest takeaways was that there were several "letter agencies" (including and especially DHS) and Dept of State and the WH directly, which actively "flooded the zone" with requests both general and specific to silence conservative "climate deniers" "Covid misinformation" and conservative sources generally.

To frame this as "80 FBI agents" is breathtakingly obtuse.
