The Morning Report — 1/9/23

waxingbrazilian.jpg

Good morning, kids. Monday and after 15 votes, Kevin "Charlie" McCarthy finally musters enough votes to be given the Malig-Nancy Pelosi clown gavel. Big freaking whoop. He's yet another Deep State stooge and a cog in the same hypocrisy and sham that had been operating more or less sub rosa for decades and ultimately revealed itself with the coming of Trump and for sure with the overthrow of Trump. And speaking of which, Trump going to the mattresses for him is a real head-scratcher. But, all this is kabuki-bukkake theater. It was revelatory insofar as the holdouts who crossed over because they were given guarantees written in invisible ink on Neville Chamberlain surplus stationery are now to be looked at warily, to say the least while Matt Gaetz has definitely moved up a notch. Regardless of the fact that all this, as I said, is bullshit in the grand scheme of things, it's the principle of the thing that in the long run is what matters. Remember that in the weeks and months ahead.

With that, fresh off the two-year anniversary of "the most devastating attack on our precious democracy (*vomits*) than the Civil War, Pearl Harbor and 9/11 combined," the brave citizenry of Brazil have a few things to say about Socialist/Globalist rigged elections. And I'd be lying to you if I said what's happening down South American way isn't making my mouth water.

Thousands of opponents of socialist convicted felon President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stormed his offices and the headquarters of the Congress and Supreme Federal Tribunal (STF) of Brazil on Sunday, reportedly demolishing the facades of two of the three buildings and causing “irreparable” damage to priceless artifacts in the chambers.

The riot in Brasilia occurred while Lula himself was in Sao Paulo state assessing the damage of recent floods. Lula, in a public statement following police action to subdue the protesters, announced an official “federal intervention” in Brasilia – consolidating the public security powers of several agencies into the hands of a hand-picked, top-level official – and accused police of acting in “bad faith” in failing to prevent the protesters from storming the buildings.

The incident is an offshoot of months of protests following the October presidential election that saw Lula narrowly defeat then-incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro in two rounds of voting. Most protesters support Bolsonaro but, more broadly, oppose Lula’s victory as illegitimate on several grounds, including his multiple convictions on charges of corrupt acts occurring during his first two terms as president. An audit of the 2022 runoff presidential election, which featured only Bolsonaro and Lula as candidates, by the Armed Forces of Brazil concluded that no guarantee could be made of the absence of fraud or irregularities.

Protesters also accuse the STF, particularly its head justice Alexandre de Moraes, of intervening in the election by censoring mentions of Lula’s corruption case and silencing Bolsonaro supporters through fines and police raids.

Perhaps if America was the racist, oppressive society built on the backs of slaves with one-percenters controlling 99% of the wealth that the Left claim we are – and which Brazil actually is (FYI: the vast majority of African slaves wound up down there and in the Caribbean, while America was a virtual backwater for the trade) – we'd have reacted to what happened here in 2020 much like the Brazilian citizenry. If you look beyond the girl from Ipanema, corruption, grinding poverty and crime have been endemic to Brazil for decades. Plus, Brazil's neighbors include Maduro's Venezuela, Morales' Bolivia and now Urrego's Colombia. Things may not be all that rosy in Brazil but it's a paradise compared to the aforementioned. In any case, Bolsonaro's tenure as president wasn't going to change things overnight, but he had the right ideas. And that garnered him the same enemies Donald Trump had in the WEF/Davos set.

I expect things have the potential to get particularly ugly down in Brasilia and Rio. But desperate people, when push comes to shove, will react as we are seeing. Not only here but in Iran and at least for a while in China. Could what's happening in those three countries happen here? I'd say, the American mindset revolves around the concept of live and let live. We abhor violence. But with the Junta in DC shoving our economy off of a cliff, combined with the escalation of the abuse and persecution of the citizenry, and the crushing of all reasonable voices of dissent, anything is possible.

Remember we are talking about the American psyche. But of course, the American psyche is being burned out of the collective memory of our children courtesy of the schools and the culture, while tens of millions of foreign, illiterate peasants are being driven across our now non-existent borders.

In preparing for his arrival, El Paso and the Border Patrol have been clearing out evidence of the crisis Biden’s open borders policies have wreaked, however, so Biden won’t get to see the suffering, destitution, and homelessness he has willfully created. More importantly, of course, the resulting photo-op visit will not shed light on the humanitarian crisis for Americans.

[Gov. Greg Abbott Tweeted] El Paso rushes to remove illegal immigrants and migrant camps that are crowding downtown before Biden arrives.

Predictable.

Biden does not want America to see the chaos that he has caused on the border.

This is just a photo op and a game of pretend.

Democrat-run El Paso, Texas, is clearing out large migrant encampments from downtown streets ahead of a scheduled visit on Sunday by [so-called quote-unquote "president"] Joe Biden.

Since last week, police have moved hundreds of migrants to less visible areas of the city, as carjackings, stolen property, and drug distribution spiked with the arrival of thousands of illegal immigrants, the Washington Examiner reported. Law enforcement agencies said businesses have struggled with crime as migrants, primarily from Venezuela, have camped out on city streets.

Biden is visiting the border city ahead of meetings next week in Mexico City with Canadian and Mexican leaders. His visit comes as his administration on Thursday unveiled a policy that permits 30,000 people per month from Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti, and Nicaragua to obtain temporary work in the United States. The new program will allow migrants to travel directly to the United States, bypassing an asylum application at the southern border, after applying on a mobile app.

Biden and his handlers blamed the disaster at the border – a disaster that is intentional and that they themselves have created – on the Republicans, specifically the policies of "the previous administration."

The fucking chutzpocrisy here is off the charts. But, in the Goebbels-ian tradition of the Big Lie, go big or go home. And after less than three hours, that's exactly what Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants did.

The fix here is dead easy. Seal the border. Abolish sanctuary policies everywhere. Cut off every single non-US citizen already here from Tio Azucar. Ramp up the arrest and summary deportation of every single illegal alien foreigner, regardless of how long they've been here. Punish every citizen and corporation that harbors or hires illegal aliens to long stretches in federal prison. End bilingualism everywhere in the USA.

Lather, rinse, repeat. Meh, it's a pipe dream, wrapped in an LSD trip, inside a drunken stupor.

Meanwhile, while everyone's all wee-wee'd up about Kevin McMcConnell, this happened:

KLAS reported that a man named Mohammad Mesmarian is “facing terror-related charges after police said he rammed his car through a gate at a solar plant outside Las Vegas and set his car on fire, disabling the huge facility.” It seems that Las Vegas Metro police responded to a call from the plant on Wednesday morning; “employees at the plant said they found a car smoldering in a generator pit.”

The plant in question is called the Mega Solar Array, and it is no minor installation: it “provides energy to MGM properties,” which are quite considerable in the Las Vegas area, and “is run by a company called Invenergy.” Mesmarian, however, has put the plant out of action for at least two years by “ramming through a fence and setting the car on fire.”

The first cluster of questions centers around where Mesmarian came from, and how he got so far away from the plant after setting his car on fire there. The car he burned “is registered out of Idaho.” Did he drive it from Idaho to Vegas? Maybe. In any case, “police suspect Mesmarian drove through the fence Tuesday afternoon after employees had left for the day. It was not until 12 a.m. Wednesday when video reportedly shows Mesmarian setting the car on fire.” So what was he doing all Tuesday afternoon and evening?

It gets even stranger from there. Mesmarian “reportedly watched the car burn, sitting in a chair for about 15 minutes before walking off.” Where did he go? “Police located Mesmarian at a campground Thursday — a day after the fire — in Boulder Beach at Lake Mead.” How did he get from the plant to Lake Mead, a half-hour drive away? No one knows. . .

. . . There is no information on any of this in the available news stories. And given the likelihood that Mesmarian is either a Leftist terrorist or an Islamic jihad terrorist, or some combination of both, we may never get straight answers from a law enforcement and media establishment that remains intent on covering up both as much as it possibly can. If only Mohammad Mesmarian had been wearing a MAGA hat and had told cops that he attacked the solar plant to “make America great again.” Then this story would be receiving lavish round-the-clock coverage and we would already know every detail of this man’s life up to now. But since he doesn’t fit the media narrative, it’s likely to be down the memory hole with Mohammad Mesmarian.

Happy Monday!

12 Another part of the fix, which would take a lot of work if Republicans could gain power, and even then it would be a pipe dream, is repealing or altering the 14th amendment. There's no longer an issue about former slaves being citizens, and we're one the only countries who uses this assinine method which opens us up to all these people coming here and purposely popping out babies in order to grant their entire family citizenship.

If one of your parents isn't a citizen, or at least on a valid long term Visa, then you shouldn't be a citizen.

31 I get that Lula was once president, but it sure is amazing that he managed to get juuuuust enough votes to beat Bolsonaro, which was 13 million more than his 2018 equivalent (and millions more than in his own reelection bid) but Bolsonaro just got a bit more than he did in 2018 (which was also similar to his 2014 numbers)

Brazil has had 95 to 105 million votes going back about 20 years, and "suddenly" an extra 13 million voters come out and vote for a guy known for corruption, trash that's not fishy at all and no commie would ever do that.

These rebukes have been coming out since the introduction of the lies in the entire 1619 "Project."

Unfortunately, it's the 1619 Project that has gotten all of the mainstream attention. It's the 1619 Project that's in all the schools. It's the 1619 Project getting all the accolades and awards. The tiny voices of rebuke are a drop in the ocean to what people/students will ever hear. How long must our corrupted education system go on pumping lies into America's kids? There have been no academic gains to lose. I don't know about NC specifically, but across the system of US public education, there's been decline. Worse functional literacy rates, worse functional numeracy rates, worse scientific competence, worse historical knowledge, worse understanding of civics. In all dimensions, it's been a decline. All dimensions except money. In real terms, per-pupil spending doubled since the early 80s. All that decline as been terribly expensive.

Did NC saw *which* 20 years were wiped out? 'Cause 1940-1960 seems more likely...

This is, more or less, the goal of the modern American public education system. John Dewey set out to create a machine that would produce specifically that kind of widget. His goal was to generate men for the industrial labor force not the low-end service labor force, but the overall goal of turning out uncurious and obedient industrial automata and the methods are the same as they ever were.

Lots of people talk about using time machines to go back and kill men like Hitler. Everyone forgets about John Dewey.

As we used to frequent that mall when living here, we still pay attention to the crime and political trends.

It was a hoot watching the President of the Towson Chamber of Commerce, during one of her more sober and less drunken interviews redefining the events of the most recent 250+ yute fight fest, curb stomping and trash can fire event.

It was all described as simply some youths misbehaving to a level that would embarrass their parents.

The Left has had hundreds, maybe thousands, of activist organizations all over the country and all over the world developed during their long march through the institutions. I found out about it years ago. Especially considering the Right not only does not have a Network of activist groups, it has zero activist groups.

Sure, and that makes sense. I don't view that as evidence of some conspiracy that Pfizer is going to release what comes next, or even necessarily be in on it. "Something bad will happen eventually, and we're the guys to help when it happens" is a pretty normal position to advertise. It's the bread and butter of insurance advertising.

Also add: Don’t tell me what to say, to think, to pay. Backlash was inevitable against the metastatic absurdity. Use only paper straws. Don’t tell me what to do. Like other congressional committees - yes, even including the much-maligned Jan 6 committee - it will accomplish nothing. And unlike the Jan 6 committee, it won't even get primetime media coverage in well-produced events in an effort to convince people that it's relevant.

Forget the committees. It's all just so much noise where both sides get soundbites and the witnesses lie for fun and profit. Work on the budget instead. Send a crush of bills repealing agency authority to the Senate and let the Senate kill them. Prep the space for the budget conflict in nine months and demoralize your upstream opponent with a mass of bills to give them a taste of what you're after. Start passing funding *now* to avoid a messy shutdown battle while you go to war with the other branches on key areas of agency defunding.

But spare me the committees and hearings. They're all just so pointless.

Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at January 09, 2023 09:16 AM (t0OGg)

342 A Color Revolution in this context refers to a specific type of coordinated attack that the United States government has been known to deploy against foreign regimes, particularly in Eastern Europe deemed to be “authoritarian” and hostile to American interests. Rather than using a direct military intervention to effect regime change as in Iraq, Color Revolutions attack a foreign regime by contesting its electoral legitimacy, organizing mass protests and acts of civil disobedience, and leveraging media contacts to ensure favorable coverage to their agenda in the Western press.

Before Norm Eisen came Gene Sharp, originator and Godfather of the Color Revolution model that has been a staple of US Government operations externally (and now internally) for decades. Before Norm Eisen’s “Playbook” there was Gene Sharp’s classic “From Dictatorship to Democracy,” which might be justly described as the Bible of the Color Revolution. . .

344 Good morning everyone. Thank you J.J.

Verse for the Day:
"Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now; for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he consented. And when Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on him; and lo, a voice from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."

350 Today is The Solemnity of the Baptism of the Lord - it is closely connected with the Solemnity of the Epiphany; both are biblical manifestations of Jesus Christ as the Son of God. On the occasion of Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan river at the hands of St. John the Baptist, the voice of God was audibly heard to declare to the gathered crowd, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” At his baptism Jesus sanctified the earth’s waters, giving water the power to beget sons of God through the Sacrament of Baptism. Through the cleansing waters of baptism Jesus heals our sinful nature and clothes us with his own Divine life, bringing us into the Kingdom of God. It is by imitating Our Lord in his Baptism that a person becomes a Christian, the first sacrament of initiation into the Church. The feast of the Baptism of the Lord marks the end of the Christmas season on the new liturgical calendar.

“You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear: you moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for; you hired workers the rest of us paid to educate; you were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of us did.

“Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea? God bless. Keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.”

It's almost humorous to listen to a commercial for some medication for some relatively benign condition and listen to a minute of possible side effects "including death".

I'm always, "Why the hell would someone take that shit?"

California is the true freedom state.

Protecting liberty from a rising tide of oppression taking root in statehouses. Weakness, masquerading as strength. Small men in big offices.

Freedom is who we are – anyone from anywhere can accomplish anything here.

During the SNF game last night, Lions at Packers, D'Andre Swift was injured. Medical staff was attending to him and a couple of his former University of Georgia teammates who play for Green Bay were gathered around out of concern for him. Another medical staff person came over and gently put his hand on Quay Walker to try to get by him to attend to Swift. Walker somehow took offense to this and gave the medical person a slight shove. As the medical person turned around to confront Walker, the other former Georgia teammate on Green Bay came over and was giving the business to the medical person. It was ridiculous.

Walker, Packers' leading tackler, was eventually ejected. His second ejection of the season. TV cameras showed him later walking down the tunnel to the locker room and he looks distressed and on the bring of tears and whining. Seems to represent how so many young men today simply have no idea how to properly behave.

403 Am I reading things correctly, that one of the concessions wrung out by the Freedom caucus is that any single Congressman can call for a vote to remove the Speaker from his position? Including any single Dem Congressman?

Posted by: davidt at January 09, 2023 09:25 AM

Even if so, what does it matter? The votes will never exist to remove him. Only 20 of 535 temporarily stood against him. It takes a majority to remove him. So it is an empty "concession". Just like all the others.

404 Drive through the fence of a large power station in broad daylight, hang out for 10 hours doing gawd-knows-what, set a car fire, sit in a chair roasting marshmallows while the fire burns, then walk to a lake 30 miles away and go camping, then finally get arrested, have 2 arraignment hearings cancelled without explanation, then complete radio silence.

This passes for normal in our country today.

406 Back in the 90s I had a client that worked for the EPA.
He approached me with a puzzled expression and told me he had just received a strange assignment.
He was to determine the best way to dispose of millions of dead chickens. He did the research and concluded that pit burial was the most efficient method.
Strangely enough, about two months later China became the source of what became the first world-wide bird flu epidemic.
Go figure.

410 I lived 30 years overseas. When someone said he could make me disappear, I knew what he meant and acted accordingly. When some puffed up tree dweller says whites must be killed, I say bring it, and then will take the appropriate actions.

No nation or culture endures because of its "diversity" social trust and bonds simply do not exist. Homogenous societies endure because of mutual values, traditions, and bonds. Japan endures, Brazil will not. Scotland might endure but iceland will. Canada will disappear but Korea won't.
