LA's Soros DA George Gascon Directs His Prosecutors To Undercharge Illegal Alien Criminals To Avoid Getting Them Deported

The Soros DA has instructed prosecutors to be mindful of criminals' immigration situations and to think twice before charging them with serious crimes and exposing them to deportation. No, we want them charged as lightly as possible so they can stay here and continue victimizing Americans!Prosecutors in Los Angeles County will now have to weigh the effects charging decisions will have on the immigration status of suspects and are encouraged to seek diversion programs to help avoid deportations, according to a new directive.Diversion programs are of course non-jail quasi-punishments, like community service.

According to the policy, which was obtained by Fox News, alternatives to criminal convictions should be considered, such as avoiding charging for criminal enhancements, which can significantly increase one's prison sentence, "that would turn an otherwise immigration neutral offense into an immigration damaging one."Gascon even wants prosecutors to reach into the past and undo past convictions -- if they would have avoided that conviction under the new rules.
"That's basically saying, 'We're going to give you a pass because you used a gun,'" Eric Siddall, vice president of the Association for Deputy District Attorneys of Los Angeles County, told Fox News Digital. Anyone under criminal investigation can contact the DA's office to "present information concerning adverse immigration consequences" before a case is filed, the measure states, a policy that has been the norm, Siddall said. "All charging determinations shall be undertaken with the goal of avoiding or mitigating the adverse immigration consequences of a decision when known, possible pr permitting," the policy says. "Under these circumstances and when, consistent with public safety alternatives to filing charges exist, those alternatives shall be pursued." The policy further states that pre-trial diversion programs can help deter deportation and other impacts on the immigration status of suspects. Prosecutors are still barred from cooperating with federal immigration authorities.
Meanwhile: Walmart's CEO warns that the retail giant will be forced to raise prices if woke prosecutors continue letting their Democrat Constituents rob them blind on the daily.
In cases where a motion has been made to vacate a conviction based on consequences to a suspect's immigration status, prosecutors should consider agreeing with the motion if it's determined that had the consequences been raised during the initial proceedings, a different resolution would have been reached, the policy states. I was called to a federal jury pool a few years ago. The defendant was an illegal. I pointed out to the lawyers that the defendant had no constitutional rights, and should just be deported immediately. I was asked to leave.
As I left the room, the judge asked the remaining pool if they agreed with me, and at least a third raised their hands. They followed me out shortly.

Sometimes, sometimes not but active evil essentially destroys all the fruits of enjoyment. Like misers get less and less enjoyment out of each dollar, Soros too faces diminishing marginal utility and the approaching indications of Death coming for him. My guess is that he fears oblivion in his materialistic view as ending him and perhaps has a sneaking suspicion that the religious types just might be right about what awaits him after death.
Hard to get much enjoyment out of life living like that regardless of the creature comforts around him. Death awaits that even riches cannot stave off indefinitely and all things human come to a cropper including his organization and spawn.

I will be shocked if this statement is anything more than a reiteration of prior guidance.
Living in a sanctuary city, you realize that you are a second-class citizen and the illegals are first-class. It was just a fact of life in Denver. If I got pulled over for some reason, I *would* get a ticket. If I got caught stealing, I *would* get arrested. They would throw the book at me to maximize both my misery and their revenue.
The illegal alien, though, gets a free pass. This happens for two reasons:
1. He can't, or won't pay.
2. He might get deported.
If I drive drunk, I get arrested. If the illegal alien drives drunk, he gets let go because if they don't, ICE might deport him. Being an illegal - a person who's very first act in this country was a crime - means you have a free pass for crime. Being an actual citizen makes you a second-class citizen unless you're also in the power class. "Sanctuary cities" invert the proper way of things completely. Up is down.

Ask a street cop one day or an experienced social worker one day and ask them if they believe people are basically good or evil. There is a reason for a high level of burnout in those professions. It is also an occupational hazard of therapists or even clergy in confessional and counseling faiths. What people hear and see in those positions leads them to doubt the existence of good. "weeping and gnashing of teeth", but I think that is more anguish/regret over facing judgement for their evil acts, not eternal torture.

To be honest, this is a heavily Catholic area I live in, and while wokeness is a thing in StL, that isn't the case here in the more rural environs, and where the Catholics here aren't gonna play that.
Add in a significant Protestant church-going population here, yeah, wokeness may happen in families, but it not lauded by any stretch of the imagination, except among the Karens, which thank God, are a distinct minority.

Full disclosure, I'm a huge Trump fan. I am getting very upset hearing several talking pundits say Trump has now lost 3 times and should step aside for a winner- usually Desantis. I have no problem with Desantis, but he is young enough that he should wait till 24. My anger and frustration is that the blame for Trumps nominations falls on Trump. McConnell and the DNC cheating and voter fraud had more to do with it than Trump.

Ditto with LDS churches in the US, and I'm sure still quite a few other churches these days. Sunday best is standard. If you're in jeans and making an attempt to look nice, it won't be held against you (at least in most congregations). But chances are that if you continue to attend, before long if you're a man you'll be wearing slacks, a shirt with a collar (probably white), and a tie. Dresses are the norm for the women.

The KKK is almost nonexistent these days for a couple of big reasons.
1) the federal government had damned well enough of their crap and pretty much wiped them out.
2) They lost. All the things they were fighting for and trying to accomplish, well they failed at. Utterly. No reason to even have an organization any more.

At the time, the 1920s, the biggest rally in Happy Valley was a KKK meeting (even though then, like now, there were very few blacks here (well, if you don't count the local university football team)). Back in the day, many businesses included "white" in their names to show that they were down with the cause. There are still remnants in business names but the Klan is gone. (I did see a young, white guy wearing a red tee shirt with a black swastika in a white circle on the back entering a store as I was leaving.)

So, you can't compel or order a defendant to search for and provide evidence to be used against him or herself. This is clinically insane and a total violation of the 5th Amendment. Judge Howell has ridden off the mental sanity reservation and onto some plane reserved just for people who live in drooling bonkersville. That the Trump team did not demand 5th amendment rights for the client, if they did indeed search for this evidence - is criminal in the defense of their client.

You wouldn't ask a German about the Italians and expect it to be an accurate and unbiased account would you? Not that the German would lie, he'd be telling you from a particular perspective, not necessarily first hand. That's not to say the Italian wouldn't boast, if you took it from him. But you'd hope he would, if he loved his country.

Honestly, I don't think that's true. I mean you can't take the Eucharist. That's true. You can still go to a catholic church. In fact there are a lot of people who come trying to discern whether they want to join or not, and some never do. If you had a sincere desire to sing in a choir but weren't Catholic, and you were going to show up and practice etc. You'd prolly be welcomed. Especially if it was a latin mass choir and you could sing polyphony chant.

But, if you are in a community of believers at worship, you can literally feel and see goodness emanating in the air just like a warm sunshine. You see on the faces, hear it in their voices uplifted in prayer and song, and see the reflections of it bounce off each other. Why deny oneself the joys of religion and true community in a life well lived just in order to 'win' a cynical wager near the end of life?
Reading the Bible itself also gives one peace as to remind you that bad times have existed throughout the history of humanity but the righteous will be rewarded for their trial by fire. Psalms, for example, is balm for the soul as is much of the New Testament.

Would agree. I was at The Basic School in Quantico and one of our Foreign Officers training with us a Saudi named Alfife. He couldn't do one pull up and was excused from exercise when the rest were getting hammered. We would sing 'Alfife Don't Like It, Rock the Casbah, Rock the Casbah." So not all churches at all services sport a choir. The 11:00am or 12:30 may have a choir while the 6:45 8:00 and 930 may only have the congregation singing. Some church may not have all those masses on a sunday. Especially with the falling numbers. the one I go to now has only two 8:30 and 11:00 the priest has to go over to another parish to cover a 9:30. and another for a 12:30.

I get what you are saying. I don't go because I think I'm a wonderful person and I'm going to heaven. I mean, I'm a trainwreck. I do get something from it. Its not really the relationship or feeling I get from my coreligionists either. Although my brother in law refers to the sign of peace at my church as a Make out session. He's being ridiculous, but its an irish catholic and immigrant parish in the inner city and the people are regulars so we've watched each other's children grow up week by week. There's something to be said for going to the same church for decades and decades. I go, because the relationship I have, and want to keep, is my relationship with my Savior. What does that word mean. It means what it says. Make friends with him. He's got your back, for eternity. P.S. The devils real name is THE ACCUSER - nobody here is really deserving by themselves.

The biggest city would like to open most of the positions the police currently hold that don't involve working on the streets (i.e, administrative & light duty slots) to others & have the police out in the community full time. IDK how that'll work (and the police unions will be teed off) but there are already many police and fire personnel from the city who reside in the collar suburbs, not within the confines of the city. Hiring police is becoming complicated, at best, but DOJ appears to have many grants available to help communities change the nature of community policing.
