Race2Dinner "Hostesses:" The House of White Womanhood Rests Upon a Foundation of Doing Things Well

I know, the headline is baffling. It cannot be helped. We're in ClownWorld. Things are a bit strange here.

Stick with me, I'll get there.

You have certainly heard of "Race2Dinner" -- the racialist grifter operation in which two women extract $5,000 from upper-class white women for the privilege (ah, that word!) of hosting them for dinner (which the white women pay for) and the get told all the ways in which they're racist.

The stupid upper class white women think that the two racist grifters are coming to tell them that other white people are racist, but you're okay.

But -- perhaps admirably -- these grifters don't roll that way. They don't pander. For $5000, you don't get told you paid your Racial Indulgence and can go to Mixed Race Heaven.

For $5000, you get told you're among the worst racists there are.

Were White Fragility to be adapted as reality TV, the result might look something like this: A collection of affluent white women, equipped with varying degrees of vanity and self-delusion, gather at a well-appointed dinner table. There, they face down a pair of unsparing judges prepared to see right through them. Who's racist? Time to find out. White wine flows; white women admit shameful secrets. They get squirmy; they get angry; they turn on each other. If one of them starts to cry, she has to leave. She will find tissues in the designated crying room.
The Bravo version of Robin DiAngelo, in other words, might look a bit like Race2Dinner. Begun in 2019 by Regina Jackson and Saira Rao, Race2Dinner gathers groups of eight white women at the home of a white host, where Jackson and Rao facilitate a discussion about race over dinner. Early in the evening, for example, they will often ask the white women whether they would prefer to trade places with Jackson (who is Black) or Rao (who is Indian American). The women will almost uniformly choose Rao. "So they know," Rao said. "They know the entire ecosystem." The idea is to bring such submerged racial judgments to light, however uncomfortable this might make the white women. Jackson and Rao ask guests to describe racist things they've recently done and press them on any evasions. Often the examples that emerge involve silence: failing to speak up or intervene. Sometimes they consist of thoughts or feelings: assuming that the Black teens pulled over in a white neighborhood must have been doing something wrong. Sometimes the guests struggle to think of what to say. "Not knowing is classic white behavior," Rao told me. "You don't know, because it would ruin your entire image of being the perfect, nice white lady. I'm sure you're intimately familiar with this, being a white woman."
Race2Dinner participants sign up for something that promises to be painful, unsightly, and yet transformative, like a chemical peel for the soul. "Interested in hosting a dinner?" asks the Race2Dinner website in red text superimposed on a shattered china plate. "Click here to smash your white fragility." Guests used to be asked to read White Fragility, but no more. For one thing, Rao said, "we definitely don't want to put another dollar in Robin DiAngelo's pocket." For another, among prospective customers, pretty much everyone has already read it.

David Strom catches up with the gals from Race2Dinner in Time Magazine.

They have a new complaint about White Womanhood. (They really call it that.)

White women are too good at things -- too "perfect" -- and this causes oppression to people of color.

Now I don't mean to make this too racist, but the Race2Dinner ladies already started it -- but I'm pretty sure that Chinese women and Indian women and other Asian women have a strong drive towards being "too good" as well.

Are they saying that Chinese and Indian woman aren't Women of Color Women of Color?

And if they are saying that -- and they are -- aren't they the ones who are racist?

In 2019, we decided to host anti-racism events in white women's dining rooms for one specific reason: To turn the age-old adage, "it's rude to talk about politics at the dinner table" on its head.
This is what we've learned--if you don't talk about racism, you can't dismantle it. But it isn't just over the dinner table that this "niceness" rules.
In the aftermath of George Floyd's murder in 2020, you were eager, frenzied even, to do this work. A mere two years later, not only is that excitement for anti-racism work gone, the pendulum has swung in the other direction, into a verifiable whitelash against anti-racism work.
If white womanhood is a house, your need to be perfect is the foundation.
It is this need for perfection that makes it impossible to engage in antiracism work.
Being perfect is the key to your happiness, to your success, to your very existence.
Perfect hair. Perfect clothes. Perfect grades. Perfect nails. Perfect weddings. Perfect bodies. Perfect adoring and supportive wife and mother. Perfect employee and colleague.
White skin. The foundational principle of perfection in a white supremacist society like ours is rooted in whiteness. Without it, your A's will never be straight enough, your MVP trophies not shiny enough, your flowery dresses a bit wilted. Of course, white skin alone doesn't render you perfect, but without it, you have no chance. White skin is a necessary (yet still insufficient) ingredient of perfection. The con, of course, is there is no actual recipe for perfection, as there is no such thing as perfection.

Wow, for "anti-racists" they sure do spit out a lot of hate against a race!

They're attempting to be as derogatory and insulting as possible. What they could have said, if they weren't just anti-white racists, is that white people tend to value non-confrontationality as cultural virtue, and that very non-confrontationality makes it difficult to talk to them about race, which is inherently a confrontational subject.

See? It was very, very easy to discuss that in a non-insulting, non-degrading way.

But their intent was to racially insult. Their intent was to racially degrade.

Because they're "anti-racists."

Of course, when it comes to all other races, we're supposed to "celebrate" their cultural preferences as superior to all other cultural preferences. And it is racist to ever criticize any culture's cultural preferences... except for the one.

The article I first quoted, which mentioned Race2Dinner being perfect fodder for a reality tv series, is from 2021. Race2Dinner hasn't been made into a reality TV series just yet.

But they have made it into a documentary movie: Deconstructing Karen.

Available on Apple TV. Because of course it is!!!

I'm late to this party -- this came out a couple of months ago -- but it's New to Me (TM).

I just heard about it on Chris Gore's review podcast. His co-host was raving about it, giving it a 9 out of 10. Not because he approves of the racial struggle session, but because the documentary shows you what Critical Race Theorists really believe, and how cult indoctrination sessions really work. Forewarned is forearmed.

I don't know if I could sit through this, but I have watched a few clips, which I'll tee up for you.

Here are "the wokest moments," allegedly.

If you can't take the clip, skip to 3:25, when a White Woman dares to point out that while the black woman is talking about "we" having experienced slavery, she certainly did not experience slavery.

She is commanded, in response: "Silence."

That'll be $5000, Typical White Woman.

Replacement video. The video I linked here had been taken down. The best I can do is this reaction to that video. But it includes a guy reacting to the original video. If you just want to see the Race2Dinner stuff, you have to skip around.

The very fact that these stupid white women are even present for this racial struggle session tells me they kind of deserve everything they get.

These two grotesque hateful whores explain that all white women are "Karens" and "Beckys," and that white women just need to find out what kind of "Karen" or "Becky" they are.

Note that both "Karen" and "Becky" are racially-charged disparagement for white women, the same way casually dismissing a black woman as a "Shanequa" would be.

But it's okay, because they're here to learn you some racism about yourself.

Sairo Rao, who is Indian not black, and if she wants to live in a country which is a utopia free of racism she should cart her fat flabby ass right the fuck back to racist/caste-ridden India, says that "white women's violence expresses itself as silence."

You know, of all the violence in the world, I think silence is the kind of "violence" I would prefer to have to suffer.

Black Conservative Perspective asks what's actually more violent: The passive-aggressive assholery of Karens we see in viral videos, or the extraordinarily high levels of actual violence we see from black men? Which is more destructive? Which ruins -- and ends -- more lives?

Which demand the more urgent "realtalk" dinner conversations about?

The Karen stuff, obviously. Duh. White woman's silence is the ultimate violence, says the bitch who has obviously never faced actual violence in her sheltered, coddled, safe whitebread life.

One more clip: Crowder and Co. watch a clip and goof on it. It gets super-cringe when a white woman attempts to claim she's basically black because she dated a "super-dark Hispanic man."
