New Study: Don't Worry About Reports of Vaccine Injuries. Vaccine Injuries Are Mostly Caused by... "Misinformation" About the Existence of Vaccine Injuries.

Say, did you know that "gaslighting" is Merriam-Webster's 2022 word of the year, based on the number of look-ups?

The word became a verb based on a play, in which a murderer attempted to make a witness doubt her sanity by changing the lighting (the gas lighting) and then insisting it hadn't been changed. (At least, that's my guess; I've never seen the movie. A friend told me this explanation, and I don't think he saw it, either.) (Correction: A commenter explains the actual meaning at end of post.)

"Gaslighting" -- mind manipulating, grossly misleading, downright deceitful -- has been named the 2022 Word of the Year by online dictionary Merriam-Webster.
"Oligarch", "Queen Consort", "Omicron" and "codify" also made the top of the list
Searches for the word on merriam-webster.com increased 1,740 per cent in 2022 over the year before. But something else happened.
There wasn't a single event that drove significant spikes in the curiosity, as was usually the case for the chosen word of the year.
The gaslighting was pervasive.
"It's a word that has risen so quickly in the English language, and especially in the last four years, that it actually came as a surprise to me and to many of us," said Peter Sokolowski, Merriam-Webster's editor-at-large, in an exclusive interview with the Associated Press prior to the word's unveiling.
"It was a word looked up frequently every single day of the year," he said.

Speaking of: A new study says that the adverse effects attributed to the vaccine aren't real, they're just caused by people believing their will be adverse effects, due to people, such as yourselves, spreading "misinformation."

A recent study suggests that it is not mRNA COVID-19 vaccines that are "most likely" responsible for adverse effects such as blood clots, strokes, and heart attacks, but concerns widely expressed about the vaccines.
In September, the Indian journal "Biomedicine" published a so-called study by self-professed "mRNA Alchemist" and biotech engineer Raymond D. Palmer, entitled "Covid 19 vaccines and the misinterpretation of perceived side effects clarity on the safety of vaccines." The study is presently being hosted on the National Library of Medicine site, which is operated by the U.S. federal government.

The gaslight is set at its normal level. I have no idea what you're talking about.

While various experts, such as internationally esteemed American cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough, have issued warnings about potential downsides of the vaccines, Palmer, an astronomy hobbyist and former realtor, claimed that those wary about the COVID-19 vaccines do not just suffer "a profound lack of scientific and medical training" but are at the root of a great deal of vaccine recipients' suffering.

At last, we're finally getting some Tom Nichols-level experts to weigh in.

The gas-lamp is working as it always does. Why are you obsessing about it?

Palmer's paper claimed that various adverse effects that take place "in and around the time of receiving the [COVID-19] vaccine" may result from the "mental stress" generated by concerns about those very vaccines.
While noting that "the likelihood of mental stress causing strokes, heart attacks or blood clots may at first appear unlikely," Palmer nevertheless claimed that "anti-vaccination sentiment could be attributed to the alleged side effects that are perpetuated across social media from anti-vaccination groups."
According to Palmer, blood clots, strokes, heart attacks, dizziness, fainting, blurred vision, and loss of smell and taste are products of mental stress. The mRNA alchemist claimed also that the "science for the vaccines causing blood clots has not been found."

Contrary to Palmer's published suggestion, the University of Utah reported that the Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines have, for instance, been associated with thrombotic thrombocytopenia, where antibodies lead to "uncontrolled activation of platelets ... and blood clots to form."
In April 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced a pause in its recommendations for the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for this very reason.
Discounting previous blood clot links, Palmer said that mental stress "clearly causes vasoconstriction and arterial constriction of the blood vessels."
Persons who are "panicked, concerned, stressed or scared of the vaccination" may therefore see their arteries "constrict and become smaller in and around the time of receiving the vaccine."

I think Jimmy Dore or Kurp Metzger noted that if the "stress and fear causes thrombosis and clots" theory had any validity to it, we should see semi-annual spikes of such conditions in students, at mid-terms and finals week.

But we don't.

The CDC just released a report -- forced to do so by a court; they were trying to hide it.

The report says the gaslights have been in good working order for the past two years.

Anyone shocked by the report that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) withheld data about a potentially fatal complication from COVID-19 vaccinations until it was forced under court order to release the data hasn't been paying attention to the CDC's multitude of misstatements and lies over the last two years.
As reported by Just the News, data released under court order shows 1 in 3 among the earliest populations to get vaccinated reported needing medical care, missed school or work, or was unable to "perform normal daily activities," while the CDC continued to fight to keep the data from the public.

Among the 10 million-plus users of the agency's v-safe active monitoring smartphone app through July -- 8.5 million of whom signed up between December 2020 and April 2021, before all adults were eligible for COVID vaccines -- nearly 8% said they required medical care after receiving the vaccines.
For patients ages 3 and older needing such care, nearly 3 in 4 couldn't rely on telehealth visits. They required urgent care (48%), emergency room (15%), or hospitalization (10%).
For infants who were authorized to receive the jabs this summer and are enrolled in v-safe through parents or guardians, hospitalizations were much lower (2%) but urgent care [was] much higher (66%).

So the movie is called Gaslight, and gaslights do figure into the plot, but gaslights are not used to make her doubt her sanity; other manipulations are used for that purpose. The gaslight itself actually helps bring her back to sanity.

People just call it "gaslighting" for the movie, not for the actual gas lights.

15 About 6 or 7 months into Covid I read that some 25 papers or studies on Covid had been pulled back by their authors for errors or improper science. That still left plenty of bad studies out there that the authors didn't decide to pull which might be total nonsense.

I was very down on the anonymous "study" that validates whatever crank idea is wanted before then, now I pretty much reject any use of a study without a citation and discussion of methods and people included.

Which has no business happening. As much as FOIA is useful, it's an awful approach to the problem. *All* information created by any government or government agency should be public by default, as of the time of creation. If they want something to be non-public, they should have to classify it and announce that decision, along with the rationale. *Then* a FOIA-type system can challenge it. If the agency loses the challenge, it's executives are all fired.

Transparency by default. In a republic, that's the only way the government can possibly operate in anything approaching an above-board way.

Because VAERS is flawed. That's the argument. VAERS uses self-reporting and thus the data is imperfect and could be poisoned if someone was really committed to poisoning the data set.

But oddly, those same people have no problem with wonky data when it comes to that "Dead of COVID" ticker they run on CNN. VAERS has some flaws, but it's the best we've got at the moment.

I didn't get the jab. I think I had early 2020 covid, but I never tested (my supposition based on symptoms). Then, later in 2021 (again, my supposition based on symptoms), and again early 2022 (no test again, but could have been flu, but lingering symptoms suggested covid). The last time about a month ago, I had lingering taste and smell issues and fatigue reduced respiratory capacity, which again suggested covid.

Any one or more of these could have been not covid, but why bother testing? It is a cold, and people will get the variants, as they become part of the background set of illnesses circulating, which is why we heretofore did not vaccinate for colds.

So you get a lethal concentration of the spike from these silent infections and keel over suddenly.

BTW, my father had a bad reaction to the jab, almost died, ended up in rehab for a month and in a nursing home with my Mom for two months after that. According to the staff at the rehab place this was a known reaction that they'd seen multiple/many times. He lost his coordination and strength. He couldn't walk or take care of himself.

He did get better and moved home again and is out and about like normal, but it was not "misinformation" that caused his trip to the ER or time in rehab.

Not me, in particular. Still have not done any IVM or HCQ, either. But I am 29. The most effective therapy I have used is a sinus rinse with a few drops of iodine, which seems to help clear most of the congestion within a few days, then it's the long-term heavy/clingy stuff that I am trying to clear out of my lungs and throat for a about a week after.

Statins cause the ivermectin and metabolic byproducts to stay in the bloodstream longer. For me, it was an anti-rejection med that interfered, one that is toxic at high levels, yet doesn't protect me from rejection at low levels, so although I got ivermectin, I couldn't use it as no Doc would help me with dosing.

I'm not. The disease was nowhere as deadly as stated. The risk factors were obvious early on and could have been cheaply mitigated. mRNA technology has never been approved for human use because it has always failed in safety trials. A placebo would have been better.

You can NDA a specific body of work if the guy is collaborating with pharma company or something like that. But they couldn't prevent you from discussing the general aspect of your research, who you work with, what school you are in, who your thesis advisor is, etc. The only reason to hide those kind of details is because you are either lying, or you are getting a worthless degree from an unaccredited or fake school.

Actually Job is one of the best pictures of God pre-NT.

When you contrast Job's virtue to the other three patriarch's "virtue" and willingness to blame and condemn (and perhaps gossip), there is no match.

I've always seen the negative side of Job, until I really read it. I agree a new family is not recompense, though.

But, on the other side the Lord is sovereign. Anybody who gets struck down by anything on this Earth could be saved if the Lord intervened. Thus he's always letting people die.

We never have a challenge of faith when somebody across the world dies--it's when we know and love that person. And then, all we are doing is expressing the dearness of that person that the Lord has cultivated in us for years. And suddenly, although so many people die everyday as a fact, which could be taken for trivia. The person we know is a grave injustice.

Sure. I'm talking to everybody who has a Job question/issue tho. Its a hard one. We have an impossibly difficult time understanding how the loss of all those things and people can be compensated. Because we overvalue them as it relates to what our relationship is supposed to be with God. You are supposed to love him more than you love your children.
Job is meant to recalibrate your sense of relationship to the world/ephemeral vs heaven/GOD/forever.

I sometimes do take it as parable.

But, before I draw too much fire, the Lord is the wisest. If it's not just a play (complete with Deus ex machina, mind you), then the Lord is just and wise.

However, it has one of the clearest expressions of faith of any Old Testament scripture: I know My Redeemer lives, and he expresses his confidence that God would gather him from the grave...even though it is likely that he *knew* nothing of the such from his religious tradition.

Our choice to act in time and space, to worship, to offer sacrifice etc. You are taking something that is yours, your will and choosing to do good. You are actively cultivating a relationship. You are actualizing with what you choose to do, your will, giving something that is yours the one thing he really wants. Your freely given love. He gave us the model, explicitly to follow with Jesus. What is best, the things of life, or eternity. Safety, Security, Wealth, Position or that no man has greater love than that he lay down his life for others

There is also my theory.

We are the species so reprehensible that God can only save a sample. That would kind of explain Lucifer's beef with God that he would waste his grace looking for approval (one of the connotations of what is usually translated "glory") from our vile race.

We are a great sign of the Lord's grace and long-suffering.

Lately, I've engaged my family in impromptu sermons about something I call "the dark side of grace". It's probably more provocative than it needs to be, but it make people pick up their ears.

I believe that if the Israelites had believed in God's strength and provision they could have taken on the "giants" during Moses' lifetime. But because they were cowed by the "giants", the Lord determined that they would wander until the Canaanites judgment "became full". And what were they doing to fill up that judgment?
