Following the outcry surrounding their recent ad images, Balenciaga deleted all of its Instagram posts and shared a statement of apology on the social media platform.Balenciega, meanwhile, is making a lot of excuses.
"We sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused," read the statement, which was shared last week. "Our plush bear bag should not have been featured with children in this campaign. We have immediately removed the campaign from all platforms." One image from Balenciaga's campaign appeared to show text from a 2008 Supreme Court decision that upheld a federal statute related to pornography that includes minors. While Balenciaga did not reference this text specifically in its statement, the brand apologized for "displaying unsettling documents" in the recent campaign.

I think Balenciaga was perfectly OK with all of that, and the photographer slipped in the court document. The document crossed the line by making it too obvious what their intentions were.

I think Atlantis probably existed, not as some utopian super-culture but as a prosperous pre-historical nation swallowed up by the sea as the ice age ended. A lot of the ocean was lower at that time, revealing land that went away when the ice melted.
Its also possible that the Mediterranean Sea was not a sea, that the Straits of Gibraltar were originally closed off then shattered, admitting the Atlantic Ocean waters.

I'm not sure why, but I watched it too. I rolled my eyes when that character first appeared, but then she was the one person who grew the most as the show went on. Ultimately I think they did a decent enough job with it.
Foresaw the whole resolution of the season within a couple episodes though. Didn't take any special genius to do so. Just plug and play everyone into their roles, based on how they started.

The last act was weak, but still I like Fifth Element.
The thing is, I love movies like Commando because they are fun and entertaining, with outrageous action. A wonderful book which I have recommended before is Van Loon's Lives, by Hendrik Van Loon. 1. To appear shocking and cutting edge so that the well-off middle-aged buyers of the clothing feel like they are in the vanguard.

Yes, I'm pretty sure the humans were around for the Black Sea inundation, but I think that ignores the large, world wide inundation at the end of the last Ice Age. There's evidence that some were quite abrupt. The theory is that large lakes formed on top of the glaciers as they melted and then something broke are released huge quantities of water at once.

There's a hidden sweetness and innocence to the characters in Hess films, even when they are terrible characters doing stupid stuff, that appeals to me. Somehow the unsophisticated humor works because of the heart and care behind it. The problem with a lot of films by someone like Will Ferrell is I can't tell if he likes the character he's playing, or secretly hates them and what they stand for. (Buddy the Elf, Ricky Bobby, etc.) I love Wes Anderson films, but he eventually goes over the twee line, every time in every film. They are always a visual treat but they insist upon themselves.

Which confuses me. They always call the player for the penalty, then call the recipient for diving. It shouldn't be allowed both ways. Either you were wronged or you dove, not both.

No way. I used to do shit like this in my former life. There are so many people involved, and these things go through so many iterations it's mind blowing. Easily 2/3 of the budget goes to these people. The usual chain of command is: Company > marketing > lawyers > ad agency > lawyers > design firm > photographer/illustrator - there's lots of sub categories in there. And certainly for a company this size.
All this means was a depressing amount of sick fucks were giving this a thumbs up, all the way to the top.

And hockey got rid of the rule most like soccer's offsides -- the prohibited two-line pass -- ages ago. The remaining hockey offsides rule is based on where the rest of your team is, not the other team.
Other rules, like "icing," are pro-offense and pro-athleticism; you can't ditch the puck down the rink on defense, or the refs bring it right back... unless you can also out-race the offense to it.
Kick the ball out-of-bounds in soccer, and they just restart the game from there. Shoot the puck over the glass, and you go sit in the sin bin for two minutes for "delay of game."

You cannot just post people in front of the opponent's goal all the time.
The thing that confuses people is that offsides occurs when the ball is kicked. If you are behind all the defenders when the ball is kicked, you are offside.
You can run behind the defenders while the ball is in the air.

I didn't see that, he was at worst even with the deepest defenders and only went past them after the ball was kicked. So I guess I don't understand the rule.

I'm pretty sure the story was out there in the internet ether but I first heard it on Tucker and it took a good half week or more of him pushing the story before it blew up to the point that the MFM couldn't ignore it.
Or was somebody else pushing also (although I don't think anybody is bigger than Tucker.)
