Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Turkey Terror CafeThe Netherlands has its stuff together. How long would this take in America, three months? Inspiring!
It's the time of year when millions of turkeys across the US might justifiably fear for their safety, but in one Massachusetts town the birds have turned the tables, ganging up to "terrorize" residents with pecks, kicks and loud clucking. People in Woburn, north-west of Boston, have been subjected to a barrage of attacks and intimidation by a group of five wild turkeys, with the situation forcing some to take up improvised weapons and residents reporting being trapped in their homes. The turkeys, led by a male bird nicknamed Kevin, arrived two years ago. Initially the birds were docile, but as time passed they have become ever more pugnacious, leaving Woburners fearful for their safety and forced to adapt their behavior. "They don't let you out of your house," said Meaghan Tolson, who lives in Woburn and has named the turkeys. "They peck at cars, they stop traffic. They go after kids on bikes. If you're walking or jogging, or anything like that, they come for you." ...

Nope - AZ law requires now that there be an election investigation - sorry ABC! And the two counties that refused to certify can suggest where that investigation happens, opse, oopsie! So, if they persist, and it looks like they will, then Gates will get the audit he never wanted. Nope - AZ law requires now that there be an election investigation - sorry ABC! And the two counties that refused to certify can suggest where that investigation happens, opse, oopsie! So, if they persist, and it looks like they will, then Gates will get the audit he never wanted.
------ My county, Yavapai, today voted to "canvass" the election -- which apparently is different from certify. The Board of Supervisors claimed that they'd each be personally liable to being charged with a Class 6 Felony if they'd failed to follow the law and vote to approve the canvass. Disappointing cowards -- and hurrah to those two counties that held out (although I think I heard that one has just delayed their approval for a few days). Some points from earlier in the day:
1. I don't think the Smart People(tm) have quite figured out that, unlike Admiral Billy's crew, Elon Musk is not motivated by money. I'm not even rich and if someone told me convincingly that if I walked away from 15% or so of my net worth it would throw sunlight on the cancer that's slowly destroying my way of life, it'd be money well spent. Scale that up, and account for how all the post-PayPal projects were more or less done because it's supposed to improve humanity, and I think maybe we approach the Musky worldview. 2. I ordered a CNC machine from China over the weekend, shipping by sea in about a month. Betting is now open on whether the literal slow boat from China leaves port before Comrade Winnie locks the ports and borders and crushes the rebellious peasants with purging fire. Betting is, however, *not* open on how the simp squad that runs the Western institutions will respond to such a move since betting requires at least some degree of uncertainty in order to work. The US M6 "survival" scout rifle is a 410/.22.
A family member has one, with the "mitten trigger," and dearly loves it. Says it's the most accurate 410 ever -- but it has a traditional made-in choke that is not convertible, so for trap you have to get off the shot really fast. Also, he's a precision smallbore competitor, and speaks highly of the .22 side too. Both are one shot at a time. "The one to have" is the original version as supplied to bomber crews. The rifle barrel is .22 Hornet, which is kinda-sorta like .223. Trigger is an acquired skill. I think there is an alternate version with a conventional trigger, but then you have to take your mittens off and you won't survive. These domesticated turkey farmers have a very specific job to do.
First of all, you get a bunch of male turkeys in a pen. Then you have to slowly gain their confidence. Become their friend. When you first enter the pen, they will all panic in all directions. Then you befriend just one. You bring him to your lap. You place some Saran Wrap on his sternum. You gently stroke on his sternum. Eventually the male turkey will eject his essence. This is what you put in to the vial to inject in the female. The curious thing is, what starts as distrust with the male turkeys all running in panic away from you, gets replaced by them all coming to greet you as you enter the pen.
