Leftwing Propaganda Organs Politico and NYT Moan: Biden Is Actually Serious About Running Again

Last week, John Sexton noted that Politico worried that Biden... "refuses to leave the stage."

Or, is not "ready to cede the stage," as they put it.

If there's one upside to essentially losing the midterms, it's that Biden would clutch tightly to the presidency like it was a girl scout who uses bubblegum-scented shampoo.

Days after his 80th birthday, President Joe Biden gathered loved ones on Nantucket to earnestly begin family discussions about his 2024 plans.

The talks come a week after the 82-year-old House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that she would be handing over her leadership role, declaring: "The hour has come for a new generation to lead." Those words echoed Biden's own from the presidential campaign trail where he once declared himself a "transition candidate" who would restore stability to the White House before passing the torch to younger leaders.

But that was then. Now, it increasingly appears that Biden isn't ready to cede the stage just yet.

While there has been simmering tension within the Democratic Party about making a generational change, Biden's fate appears to be intrinsically linked to Donald Trump, whom he defeated in 2020 and has deemed a threat to American democracy.

The former president has already declared his own 2024 campaign and Biden has privately made clear that he believes he might be the only Democrat who could vanquish Trump again. And while Pelosi had an established line of succession in the House, those close to Biden say the field to follow him is far more unsettled...

If Biden opted against a run, few in Washington believe the field would clear for Vice President Kamala Harris, and that could create a bruising primary battle.

Today, Sexton writes that the NYT frets that Biden appears serious about running again, while Democrats continue noticing his galloping decrepitude.

The concerns about Mr. Biden's overall weak standing in public opinion polls -- which was a burden for many Democratic candidates -- have not dissipated entirely. And some Democrats say that the challenges confronting the 80-year-old president and his party should not be glossed over in the party's relief over the outcome of the elections...

Surveys of voters leaving the polls found that two-thirds, including nearly a third of Democrats, said they did not want Mr. Biden to run for president again -- though Mr. Biden's allies have noted those numbers are not predictive of how voters would respond when presented with a choice between the president and a Republican candidate...

David Axelrod, who served as chief strategist for President Barack Obama, said the midterm elections had given Mr. Biden "a little giddyup in his step." As for a run for a second term, Mr. Axelrod said, "If he were 60 and not 80, there would be absolutely no doubt."

...

Shelia Huggins of North Carolina, a member of the Democratic National Committee, said the country was "looking at what the future looks like, especially with the speaker deciding that now is the time for her to step away and to give other people an opportunity."

Ms. Huggins, who has been open about her reservations regarding Mr. Biden, praised the president's record but added, "I just still have some concerns about him running again. Part of it does have to do with his age."...

Probably the other part is about his presidency being an unmitigated catastrophe.

54 2024 is going to be a complete shit show. Biden vs Trump 2 is going to have the deep state trying to destroy Trump, the media trying to make Biden seem cognizant, and many voters just not caring.

Thre battle will be between how many people can Trump reenergize, versus how many votes Democrats can create from ballot harvesting, and right now i think Democrats will have the major advantage in that scenario.

While I like what Trump has done, i really think the best thing for the country is for him to be kept out of the election by Democrat scheming. Because if he's beat in the Primary you'll get a lot of Trump voters taking their ball and going home, because they think no one should be allowed to challenge Trump. But if Dems get Trump removed some how, those Trump voters will be pissed and out for revenge.

There is no automatically weak or even beatable Dem for president. None. It's a basic part of the landscape now. Biden was an implausibly bad, ridiculous candidate in 2020. He "won"*. Against an incumbent with the highest partisan approval, and greatest vote increase, in history.

The crude propaganda cartoon that has replaced anything resembling a press, and other things, ensure that a complete vegetable Dem is better than 50/50 than the best R candidate one could even make up.

56 Today - Fox News Doocy - who is literally all we have unfortunately as an inquisitive press - tried to get that loser Kirby to admit that there is no reason to give Venezuela a permit to drill and not open up federal lands to drilling in the US - and what does that shitbag buffoon Kirby trot out, unchallenged by Doocy? The long since laugh out loud canard that Biden has given oil producers 9K permits to drill in the US and they just won't do it - because they just don't want to make any money, apparently.

Yeah, that complete douchebag Kirby knows that those 9K permits sit on land with zero fucking oil under them and that is why no one is drilling on them, and the ones that do Punchy won't give them permits for, as was long explained by oil production interests years ago - but does that idiot Doocy challenge him? Nope. This is why our press is just the most childish and immature in the world - we have one fuckwad to ask the questions we need answered and he's a relationship hire for a bad network. God help us.

Brandon ain't serious 'bout 'nothin but ice cream, and Marine One wipedowns.

The dotard's handlers are either arguing about this, or aren't sure what do.

1.) Jarrett wants him gone, but FRAU DOKTOR isn't going quietly. In this case, Brandon dies.

2.) Jarrett isn't confident that Kamala is up to the task, or the political climate has become too awful to ensure her a seamless, stage-managed Presidency like she was able to provide for Gaylord. In this case, Brandon lives.

Either way, he'll die sick, miserable and hated by all and sundry. As befits the man.

191 The best statistical analysis I saw of the 2020 elections was a guy who explained voting patterns and why the statistical anomalies were so extraordinary.

Basically, what happens, when voting, on a district by district basis, there is a trend line for votes and as votes are counted, the votes for candidates tend to cluster in pretty specific way, 60-40, etc, based on party affiliation, etc.

In other words, votes come in in a consistent fashion and the ballot dumps do not fluctuate wildly.

Well, this was far from the case in 2020 and those anomalies screamed vote rigging in some form or fashion. (going from memory and, I may be way wrong)

If you think anyone who runs on a similar platform to Trump's will fair better you're either lying or delusional. Trump supporters want him to run because they like his policies and are willing to overlook his faults. And yes, all candidates have faults.

If DeSantis gets the nomination he will face the exact same issues and corruption Trump will unless he adopts a platform more to the liking of the establishment. In case you forgot, DeSantis won his first term as governor tied to the hip of Trump. He even had ads with his young son building a wall out of toy blocks.

Until Trump came along and made it a national issue no prominent Republican was even talking about election corruption. Now everyone is. Or did you think that just happened by magic?

Just chill and laugh at the Empire's Retarded and Gay Totalitarian Clown Show, which some of us try and mock to uplift spirits while delivering a point. Humor works; unless, you are a Hall Monitor then no fun allowed!
