“That’s wild. That’s something we saw back in the 1970s,” Joe notes.

The 1970s also saw energy shortages, and with similar weather patterns. You’d think our leaders would have learned something from all of it. Unfortunately not. Once again a number of countries risk energy shortages this winter.

107 As COP27 draws near, some firms are choosing not to talk about their green targets, climate researchers say. What are the risks?

- Some firms are staying quiet on climate commitments
- Trend reflects lawsuits, consumer anger over greenwashing
- Lack of information could hamper public scrutiny

Companies that tout or exaggerate their environmentally friendly credentials are often accused of “greenwashing”, but now a more subtle phenomenon – “green-hushing” – is emerging, climate researchers say.

As policymakers and activists turn their attention to November’s COP27 U.N. climate conference in Egypt, they say some firms are deliberately downplaying and underreporting, or even keeping silent, about their emissions and carbon-offsetting targets.

There were stories during the hysteria that unjabbed patients were given the jab without their permission prior to surgeries. When I went in for a colonoscopy a few months ago, the wifey made sure to scrutinize all the patient forms you have to sign to make sure there was no permission granted for crap like that -- and insisted on talking to someone in management, explaining that if that occurred, she'd sue their asses (pardon the pun) and put them out of business.

Nothing hotter than a paranoid conservative wife in action ...

Police via the monicker law enforcement believe in catching criminals as a mission. The term peace officers brings up the older tradition of Sir Robert Peel where officers were expected to keep the peace but not enforce every stupid law.

In general, the Supreme Court has held that it is up to you as an individual to assert your rights and not the job of the police to worry about it much. Good faith exceptions and qualified immunity have become the loopholes that swallowed the original rules.

All the big places around here require a four year degree, and run their own academy, and the smaller towns want you to already be certified, because they don't want to spend the money to send you to an academy.

Icky breath includes fungi and bacteria that thrive in a warm moist mask material and is promptly respirated right back in the body.

I understand dentists are seeing more incidents of gum disease and tooth rot for example and immune suppressed would be at risk for bacterial infections of lungs and teeth especially.

Throwaway masks are about the best you can do and limiting time wearing them. Still little study has been done about the nasty synthetic fibers and chemical inhalation over a period of time from these cheap Chinese throwaway masks. Life is rather cheap there as we have found out.

-------
Apparently, and unbelievably, people (especially students & teachers in college) sharing masks is a thing. My cousin's daughter (early 30's) was required to wear a mask in order to teach at the University of Colorado. She used a mask someone else had worn and got covid.

So my cousin goes on to tell me that her daughter has permanent "long covid" damage as a result. I ask "you mean her lungs are permanently damaged?" and she said, "No, her brain has been damaged -- like little needle holes in parts -- and she's having seizures and can no longer drive."

[Of course, I ask the money question:] "Was she fully-vaccinated?" You all know the answer, and I didn't have the heart to tell her that her daughter's health issues aren't from "long covid."

Most highways should be 75 MPH or higher now. But...that would hit revenue targets for the police, and the government in general wants to make driving as painful as possible anyway.

Know where you are coming from. I spent time in Civil Engineering for Uncle Sam's Air Fairy Force so wearing masks was similar in dealing with nasty substances. Those masks you are describing have to be fitted so close that they hurt and leave deep impressions in the skin after being taken off.

Plus the forgettable enjoyment of MOPP gear for extended periods of time. Use to cough up nasty black carbon particles from the suits and masks used back then and then having the sterilize the damn things after exercises.

Long covid is a thing for some people. I have had it twice--first infection took me about 4-5 months to recover from and the second led to pneumonia. I had the J&J vaxx in between under rheumatologist suggestion to end long covid the first time as I have auto immune issues and it caused similar cardiac issues as did the long covid. Massive spikes in blood pressures from any exertion, foggy thought processes, and utter physical exhaustion. It took monoclonal antibodies to end that bout.

Daily Mail carried a story about how apparently getting the Vid leaves brain deposits of iron and calcium along with deoxygenated blood in your brain via MRI imaging. Link to original story here https://tinyurl.com/yktkhckp

343 Ok, for the last time, I've posted this periodically for years now...

Masks, of any sort, cannot and will not stop the transmission, spread and circulation of respiratory viruses within populations.

We wear masks for very specific purposes for very short durations of time because humans are not engineered to wear anything covering their respiratory openings.

You wear a dust mask when you are chopping wood, for a very short duration of time when you are actually chopping wood to keep dust being generated out of your respiratory openings.

Now imagine a world where saw dust is being generated 24/7/365, literally everywhere you go, do you think your dust mask would prevent dust from entering?

Everyone could wear a Level 4 Bio-Suit and it would make zero difference.

We'd all look silly but it would make zero difference.

Viruses emerge, they circulate, they propagate, they modulate, they attenuate, ad-Infinium, for millions of years they've been doing this.

And, we are not at year one of understanding all of this.

The Plandemic was an Op, it broke a lot of people, and it was aided and abetted by an all too willing medical and scientific community.

I had a pulmonary embolism 2010. Coughed up clots. Almost died. Maybe 5 /10%of lung died. I'm not able to take up as much O2 as before so limiting. Survived covid though. And vax.

___________

I have had it. I got COVID on July 25 and I was coughing up massive amounts of stuff, including pink blood from my lungs.

The long COVID for me is that even though I don't have it nor am I contagious, my lungs are still repairing themselves and it doesn't take a lot for my COVID symptoms to crop up (coughing, mucus, sore throat, fatigue.)

I survived COVID without going to the hospital and long COVID is just a nuisance. The doctor told me I would get it and she was right.

You are of course completely correct. And it is worth saying because there are some even among us, that are attached to wearing masks. Its like a safety blanket. The emotional needs are what drives that bus, but with lowered anxiety some of those people can logically grow out of that need.

370 279 The appalling truth is that wearing those masks for any length of time is a health hazard in and of itself. There is a reason that OSHA has standards for wearing them including how long and sanitation requirements.

I was holding the printed out NIOSH mask recomendations argueing against those worthless, by NIOSH standards, cloth masks. They just made shit up to force it on us.

I used to go through about 50 valved N95 masks a week prior to the neverendemic, now none and I go through 300 cloth masks a week.
The violations of OSHA rules in the beginning was crazy. I'm pointing to the law being told I am wrong calling Cloth masks N-nothing masks. They never did staighten it out. All CDC recomendations seemed to outweight actual law.

I just threw my hands up and handed out the useless crap. Kept the good stuff for when shit went really downhill.

378 Oh, and Shane S.
I have verifiable brain tests indicating cognitive issues for the last bout of long covid plus post vid infections of severe bronchitis (first time) and pneumonia (second time) plus breathing problems. It is also believed that certain blood types are more suceptible to its effects for some reason and I am that blood type.

Due to other medical issues, I have a long documented history of all sorts of blood tests, imaging, etc. due to autoimmune issue and their complications going back nearly a decade.

I have never had a blood pressure problem until I got the vid the first time, had it about two months after the J&J vaxx, and then again the last covid infection early this year. Roughly 70-100 bp increase in systolic and about 20 -30 pts diastolic increases that gradually returned to normal for me which is about 125 over 75 or so. Had to go on BP medicine which fortunately I no longer have to take.

Vid as an engineered nasty bug does something to the blood due probably to its spike and it seems to affect different organs in different people.
