This is in complete violation of Article IV section 4 of the constitution that requires that all states in the union have to be a Constitutional Republic. Its a Constitutional Republic all the way down - whether Alaska GOPe like that or not. Palin voters should sue under Article IV violation.

c) a judiciary deciding what is in the Constitution

Krogers was selling tiny lil' pies, about 4in. in diameter. Mine is Blueberry. Not traditional, but very tasty, indeed!

Tomorrow, the turkey carcass and drippings begin the journey to their final missions. Simmering down to become the de-boned base for a nice fifteen quarts of soup. I'll end up giving some to neighbors, and from the Christmas turkey, too. Turkey soup is like fishes and loaves. Feeds multitudes!

Well, I am stuffed, 'bout to bust. Miley can spatchcock a mean turkey. We got a 14 lb. Butterball, and brined that sucker last night. Damned good turkey, moist and just right.

Then for the rest of the fixins, we had green beans, cut-off corn (these out of my ground here), mashed 'taters, gravy, and 'nanner puddin' for dessert. And some cranberry stuff for the old folks. Orange in it, some recipe my mother likes that Miley makes for her. And dressing.

Miley is now passed out on the bed, and probably won't wake up until tomorrow afternoon. The gal is worn out. But she done good.

THose green beans were some we canned in August, two quarts for today. That makes several of canned stuff we've opened up so far.

No botulism yet and so I think our canning is good to go.

And if I do say so myself, those peaches we canned are damned good. Light syrup recipe, and I pressure canned at 5 psi recipe -- USDA says that preserves flavor and quality better than the longer boiling water version. They're right, looks like.

Anyway, those peaches ain't gonna last long at this rate. Next year, if there is one, we're gonna have to up our peach canning game, if there are any peaches to have. Get a whole lot more.

My wife prepared almost everything in advance, then took it all to daughter's yesterday. Youngest son and I had only to show up. Ate sitting around a chest that serves as a coffee table.

After the meal, we walked around the campus -- it's nearby -- and returned to the apartment for homemade pie. Pumpkin and apple. Then younger son and I brought home the leftovers.

Early Thanksgiving meals are not new for us; I used to have to work nights on holidays.

189 The best part of Thanksgiving is that long walk with your cousins before dinner because it's the only day of the year I know I'm getting laid. (Borrowed, maybe)

196 Well, I am sort of pissed off. Spent half the afternoon rigging in a Pioneer car stereo into my '08 Suburban. Well, it plays, but on the two rear-most (of six) speakers only. One of which is blown. And getting the damn stereo into fader/balance mode requires bizarre incantations. Drove the vehicle into town for groceries and to get mail. Coming home, the cruise control was dead. This had been an ongoing problem, but it came good after I had all four TPMS sensors replaced, and stayed good for several more days. I thought that was beaten. I thought wrong, I guess.

Fuck it. The '08 can sit home in the cold and snow, and I will drive the '99 to Arizona. It has a working cruise control, and a working stereo.

Well, that is why I took the stock radio/CD player out of the '08 and installed the Pioneer stereo, a takeout from a parted-out truck. I bench-tested it, and it played four speakers just fine. I think the door speakers in the burb may have little amps built in, that get turned on by a code sent over the data bus. Everything on that damned truck is mediated by the data bus. I expect the intermittent cruise control has the root of its fault there, too. I have a good understanding of DC and AC circuit theory, and RF circuit theory, but digital shit leaves me in the dark.

206 So, I'm hiding this in an evening thread on Thanksgiving - I did sell my little hobby piece at auction that I mentioned in last week's threads but it was relegated to "decorative" and not as art - and it was sold off with other things like old French clocks, decorative pots, etc. It sold for more than enough to pay for my gas and dinner/drinks with my friends later, even after the auction house took 20%, but still - pretty embarrassing.

My friends who rode with me to the auction had a lot of fun teasing me about my 'million dollar' decorative piece that sold for nothing while they were at the bar - so a good time was had by all!

207 Watching this twitter situation. Its obvious Musk wants (needs) Trump back. A meme of Musk standing outside Mara Lago with a boombox started making the rounds. But I'm wondering if he talked to Trump and this upcoming release of internal discussions between twitter and the feds isn't being done specifically FOR Trump.
