"Queer Black Mexican Neurodivergent" (Her Self-Description) Blue-Haired Landwhale Announces That Because There Is Superposition in Quantum Mechanics, That Means the Universe Itself Is "Queer"

As usual -- has has been demonstrated, and then redemonstrated -- humanities grifters know nothing about science but like dressing up their stupid arguments with terminology and concepts which they do not understand in the slightest to claim that "The Science (TM)" proves whatever stupidity they're on about.

She's babbling that, due to the Uncertainty Principle, quantum particles can exist in different places simultaneously until you measure them and determine where they actually are, this is "queer" and the universe is queer and this means there's no such thing as gender on a macroscopic scale because of indeterminism on a quantum scale.

Even though everyone understands that quantum effects have no meaning in the macroscopic world. The famous (and most commonly misunderstood) thought experiment of Schroedinger's Cat is intended to illustrate just that, that the true quantum indeterminancy of a particle's position, before you measure it, according to the Copenhagen Interpretation just makes no sense when you try to link it up to the macro scale. It's all well and good to say that a particle, which you have little sense of, can be in a superposition of both a "decayed" and "non-decayed" state simultaneously, but the senses revolt when we try to say that this also happens on a macro scale with the cat, where it is in a superposition of both "living" and "dead" states until you open the box and observe it.

But she just read the first chapter of Quantum Physics for Dummies and thought, "Say, this stuff about atoms being one thing or the other, that sounds like maybe they're non-binary sexually or something, right?" and delivered this deeply stupid and ignorant Ted Talk.

I lost most of a year of algebra. Sometime in the Spring before Memorial day I was sitting in algebra class and all my knowledge of it disappeared. It was just gone. I had no memory of it and the text book was a foreign language. I went from an A in the class to C in short order before school got out. I had to pick it up by bits and pieces over the years.
