The Morning Report — 11/23/22

gibbetbidenthanks.jpg

Good morning, kids. Wednesday and breaking news this morning is last night's mass shooting at a Virginia Walmart. Seven are confirmed dead, including the shooter who has been preliminarily identified as a store "manager." Prayers for the victims and their loved ones. No doubt this is immediately going to be politicized by the usual suspects as both a call to disarm America and an attack on the MAGA movement. Donald Trump is like the ultimate Jew: any misfortune, misery or tragedy that happens anywhere in the world is ultimately his fault. In any case, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I would wager that right on the front door itself is some sort of "Gun Free Zone" sign, which all but guarantees the premises to be a big fat potential target for anyone with criminal intentions. Meh, tell it to a leftist.

This comes on the heels of that mass shooting at a Colorado homosexual joint, which the usual suspects instantly blamed on white supremacist homophobic MAGA rhetoric, but, as I had suspected, there's more to the story than that which fits the narrative:

Aldrich, 22, is facing multiple murder and hate crime charges stemming from last weekend’s shooting.

However, Aldrich’s public defender revealed that Aldrich is “nonbinary” and uses “they/them pronouns,” the New York Times reported. In addition to the pronouns, Aldrich is referred to as “Mx. Aldrich” in the court filings.

The news about Aldrich’s gender identity came after Democrats and members of the corporate press politicized the shooting and blamed Republicans for the tragedy.

For example, NBC’s Ben Collins claimed that “Republican politicians” and the “internet’s far-right machine” targeted LGBTQ+ individuals in the months leading up to the nightclub shooting.

Really? I ain't no Doctor Bronowski, but politicians notwithstanding, I don't know anyone who is even a red pubic hair's breadth to the right of center that plays the pronoun word game madness. The only people who actively engage in that combination delusion/rhetorical weapon to beat up normal people are Leftists and homosexual mafiosi themselves. Well, there goes that narrative. At least in this instance, and for the time being. Let's see what bullshit propaganda they recycle this time at the Virginia Walmart. The smart money is to leave the homo angle and go after the guns. And what better time to hector your relatives than at the Thanksgiving table?

The recent mass shooting in Colorado Springs is the 601st mass shooting in 2022. There have been four mass shootings since then, but you likely haven’t about them. You probably didn’t hear about most of the previous 600 shootings, either. Why is that? Because the left is keeping secrets. . .

. . . We have learned that the media is very picky about which mass shootings make — and stay in — the headlines. If the shooting doesn’t fit the narrative, it’s almost like it never happened.

We know that those big, scary AR-15s — and those pesky high-capacity magazines — aren’t the weapon of choice for mass shooters, though the bum lickers in the liberal news media would have us think otherwise.

We also figured out that mass shootings make up a tiny fraction of murders in the nation, yet they get most of the media ink. And we learned most shooters aren’t drooling white men in MAGA hats.

So what gives? . . .

. . . The leftists are using mass shootings to take away the AR-15. They happily stand on the bodies of dead kids, gay people, and anyone else viciously murdered in a mass shooting to propagate their lies. I almost think they look forward to these violent incidents.

Give that man a kewpie doll! Kevin Downey's article is a nice little cheat sheet with four easy points to counter any leftie at your Thanksgiving table, assuming you allow them at your Thanksgiving table in the first place. The truth of the matter is, about the only thing standing in the way of a complete overt takeover of the shred of America as founded that remains is the shred itself: at least 200 million of us armed with maybe three times as many firearms and who know how much more in ammunition. Check that; the shred of America as founded that remains is not the firearms, but the morality, decency, the attitude of live and let live, and the abhorrence of violence of those 200 million of us. That is, unless and until we are provoked.

The irony here is that those qualities that define us are what the Left has usurped and parades around in while demonizing us as threats to the peace of the world and even the world itself. Projection ain't just a river in Egypt. In any case, though, the past several years culminating in the theft and/or rigging of not one but two elections seems to me like textbook provocations of the variety that would have sent Jefferson trucking at light speed to fetch that watering can, or firehose, for the Tree of Liberty. And yet, and yet . . .

The constitutional republic created by our founders no longer exists. Most everyone on the Right seems to agree with that—though we differ about how deep the rot is, and whether we are now living under a new regime that is essentially different in kind, not merely degree.

Most of us also agree that we want to restore the American founders’ principles and institutions. (I’m setting aside, for now, those on the Right who share our disgust with the woke oligarchy, but who have given up on—or never believed in—republican government, and would prefer something else, like a monarchy.) But how exactly we recover the founders’ constitutionalism is a question no one has been able to answer with any specificity. Any course of action has to be clear about where we are and the challenges we face. . .

. . . There seems to be no clear path, at least right now, to overcoming the woke oligarchy. But we might take some comfort in the second great error of the Left: history is not on their side because history doesn’t take sides. Deterministic “progress” is a myth because our destiny is not fixed. The eternal danger of tyranny—which confronts us now in a grave way—is coeval with the eternal possibility of freedom. Man, as Aristotle said, is the rational animal; because our nature does not change, the freedom of the human mind may be the greatest cause of optimism. The human soul could yet reveal radical and unexpected possibilities.

If honor and virtue can still triumph, it will only be when we appreciate how needful they are. That means we have to be honest with ourselves. The first half of this essay paints a dire picture. Only by confronting and accepting the most uncomfortable truths about our lost republican heritage will we summon the necessary courage and strength to fight for its recovery.

At least the author, Glenn Ellmers, didn't urge us to "vote harder." There are some excruciatingly hard truths that he hinted at but didn't elucidate further. To do so would be to scare the shit out of yourself. And yet, that I'm afraid is exactly what we have got to do.

As John Adams stated: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

That's where it begin and ends. A significant portion of our citizenry - now "fortified" (pun intended) by tens of millions of third world peasants here illegally and soon to be given the right of citizenship and the right to vote straight ticket Democrat (or have their ballots harvested to do the same) - is completely bereft of morals, ethics, and character thanks to 60+ years of brainwashing in the schools. Worse, they view us as more toxic than cancer.

We are not going to be restoring anything, let alone Jeffersonian small "d" democracy and our republic. We will very soon be fighting for our lives.

If we survive that conflagration and emerge victorious, an absolutely ruthless long-term deprogramming and denazification has to be instituted on what remains of the hardcore deadened Left and most especially their progeny that will never again allow for their rise. That also means, a return to America as founded, at least in certain aspects can also never happen, lest we give them the foot in the door to take advantage of their freedom to use as weapons against us.

44 Saint of the Day:
St Clement (c. 35 AD -- 99 AD) was bishop of Rome in the late first century AD. He is considered to be the first Apostolic Father of the Church, one of the three chief ones together with Polycarp and Ignatius of Antioch. Clement's most famous writing is his letter to the church at Corinth in response to a dispute in which certain presbyters of the Corinthian church had been deposed. He asserted the authority of the presbyters as rulers of the church on the ground that the Apostles had appointed such. According to tradition, Clement was imprisoned under the Emperor Trajan; during this time he is recorded to have led a ministry among fellow prisoners. Thereafter he was executed by being tied to an anchor and thrown into the sea. In workings of art, Saint Clement can be recognized by having an anchor at his side or tied to his neck. Saint Clement can be seen depicted near a fountain or spring, relating to the incident from his hagiography, or lying in a temple in the sea. The Anchored Cross or Mariner's Cross is also referred to as St. Clement's Cross. Clement is a patron saint of mariners, tanners and small children.

45 600 mass shootings in 2022??
----------------
The official definition is something like 3 or 4 or more shot in one incident so the overwhelmingly massive majority are gangbangers shooting each other up in the streets. Also used to goose "school shootings" stats by omitting that the shootings happened at midnight in the parking-lot or outdoors basketball court and not inside the school during school hours.

94 The leftists are using mass shootings to take away the AR-15. They happily stand on the bodies of dead kids, gay people, and anyone else viciously murdered in a mass shooting to propagate their lies. I almost think they look forward to these violent incidents.

The Left loves to Project and brag about their depravity and wickedness. One of their favorite outlets is in movies and television.

Example: pretty much every movie the male/female love interest age ratio is somewhere north of fifteen to twenty years. This is because these men who write and produce these movies convey their desire to bang young people (the younger the better). If you think about it, there are many more in movies.

A common theme in action movies is the Svengali effect where some criminal mastermind provokes a relatively innocent person to engage in all kinds of murder and criminal acts. A frequent trope is where the psychopath has kidnapped and is threatening to murder a loved one and the movie then follows the path of destruction caused by attempts to rescue the person. Other themes use drugs, hypnotism, witch craft, seduction, etc.

I just started this Margot Cleveland article and this is the setup paragraph. It amazes me how often nowadays articles start with "The FBI is corrupt and here is yet another piece of evidence".

Without reading the article, I can answer that question.

Yes, but its more complicated. It is on Purpose that they impose regulations and control over industries. The motive is a formula, different for each person, that includes Power, Arrogance (in that they know what is best), Ignorance (they have no clue to the secondary and tertiary effects), Hatred (they literally see the industry as something that is objectionable and must be destroyed), Grift (they believe that they are entitled to embezzle from these industries), Proxy Sabotage (foreign competitors want to cripple the domestic industry), Prestige (look what I can do), Virtue (I can make these industries do The Right Thing)

165 Every single time there's a 'newsworthy' mass shooting or stabbing, and before hardly any other facts are known, the usual Dem suspects point fingers and rhetoric at the evil Rethugglicans and their guns and the need to ban both.

Maybe it should be a Law, like Murphy's.

Anyhow, as the facts begin to come out, 99.2% of the incidents involve some nutcase with leftish tendencies or a workplace grudge.

And yet the Dems never turn that finger around to point in the proper direction, but instead get busy forgetting the whole affair.

Admit they were wrong? Hah! "What do you think we are? Conservatives?" Sigh. They do it to stir fear.

206 So, I just had an interesting interaction.

We had a plumber come over to look at something, and as he was leaving he noticed the large Mean Streets poster hanging in my media room.

He then went on to say that he was from Boston but a little young for that specific period as shown in NYC. He had interactions with the mob as a child ("friends of my dad" he said).

He ended up showing quite a complicated view of the mob. They were both just of the neighborhood, but also hated. They were the protection against the lawlessness of the area, and a source of terror. If you weren't of the mob, you were fine, unless the mob decided that they could make money off of you when you became prey.

It was interesting.

Ben Collins: The Colorado Springs suspect was 15 when they requested a name change to Nick Brink.

Brink was subject to a "particularly vicious bout of online harassment," and had one YouTube video, a profanity-laden cartoon dubbed "Asian homosexual gets molested."

But I'm constantly told all gender identities are real and that to even question it is violence. Does that mean CNN is committing hate speech? CNN is really putting their transphobia out on display today.

376 Recently a shooting in by beloved Saratoga in which an off duty VT deputy, out with his girlfriend and dialing an Uber (yes it was 3 AM on Broadway just adjacent to the bar district) attacked by 3-6 people, slammed against the hood of a car and to the ground.

Gets up. Shows he had a weapon. One of the other group pulled out a gun and started firing. Deputy returned fire.

Saratoga PD runs from around corner (90 degrees to the two firing /facing at each other). On bodycam, you can hear a panicky, high pitched female office screaming over and over "drop the gaaa drop the gaa drop the gaa" (30 or 40 feet away while running 90 degrees to the gunfight).

Because he "didnt obey commands" the Saratoga police shot VT deputy several times. Luckily he lived (God knows what injuries). The feckless, progressive Mayor of this once-stalwart conservative town emphasized (of course) that "no one needs to be carrying a weapon in a nightlife district" etc.

Much to unpack here. Including that I'll bet the young, female officer who opened fire never even thought that a person with gun might be doing so lawfully, and could only think "must shoot Active Shooter."

This confusion has happened before. The classic example is the first five days of Biden's Kabul Bug-Out. Joe went into hiding and Piss-hockey and Jake Sullivan went deer-in-the-headlights in front of the press. The Lapdog Media were confused about whether it was Biden Disaster or not and how to play it.

Then the Junta issued propaganda orders to play-up the history-making humanitarian airlift out of Kabul, and Joe screamed on TV that he had made the right decision, dammit, and it was all Trump's fault anyway. So shut-up, peons!

It was fairly smooth sailing in the Lapdog Media for the Junta from then-on.

So, why the fuck not beep, prole? Anyhow, beep, Japan and stuff. Also, LED displays became a possibeepity in the '70's so why not. Add in some coke and you're just beepitybeepity. Then, check it out, the 1980's~! It's a GD revolution in beepology! Desktop beeps, beeps on the radio, beeps for breakfast, lunch and dinner and for special occasions. Beep city, beep, my beep. Oh beeperman~! Have you beeped today?

Decaf is your friend.

---------------
Back in pre-Reagan accelerated depreciation days most slum housing was owned by Doctors/Lawyers/Businessmen as a way to shelter income from Fed/State Taxes. Run a paper loss on slum housing by accelerating the depreciation of the asset. Once the accelerated depreciation had been used up the owners would sell the properties to one another and begin again. This was the business Hillary Clinton was in in Arkansas.

418 I played in the fuel/ fertilizer game in the 90's . In a normal year ( minimal geopolitical incidents), heating oil stocks ( inventories) would be in place by summers end and sufficient for an average winter. Production objectives would be on producing off road (Ag) diesel for spring . Those normal production cycles are out the window . Back in the 90's, refining capacity was a prime topic . The only thing that has changed is the tightening of sulfer content standards has made the chock point smaller. Granholm can engage all her best trannies in discussing the issue with the petroleum industry to no avail . The critical impact of the shortage is going to be the effect it has oon Ag production next year. Add the fertilizer issue and it becomes exponentially worse.

449 Qatar is using slave labor to build soccer stadiums. Now, it wants to host the Olympics.
In order to meet the infrastructure demands of hosting the World Cup, Qatar has turned to slave labor. Migrant workers are paid $200-$300 a month, if the companies decide to pay them at all, to build the countries' 12 planned stadiums. The chairman of Qatar’s organizing committee confessed that the country had a “high number” of worker deaths in the stadium building process.

You want chicken entertainment? Catch a live mouse and throw it in the chicken coop . They are vicious little ancestors of the dinosaurs, or so I am told.

489 "Au contraire. It's foolish to think Republicans can do even one thing."

It's foolish to believe you, and others like you are here to do anything except traffic in hopelessness and despondency. Which is simply sad for you. You proffer no useful ideas, nor do you relate how you're involved in effecting change. All you offer is flaccid platitudes and argumentum ad hominem. But that's the sine qua non of cowards.

490 I find that interesting, but hard to believe. Pennsylvania turkeys are as lazy as they get, which might be why I see so few of them.

Lots to turkey hunters here. Even your visible breath on a cold day will spook them and cause a mass and rapid exodus.

491 273 What does "non binary" actually mean? Aldrich is a heavy person and from his pictures is clearly male. Does it just mean you'll sleep with either men or women-which would mean he was a bisexual-not non binary. Did he also flounce around in women's clothing too, or does it just mean he's an incel and came from an unstable family life?

The 'feet' and legs of a Heron are pretty frightening up close. We fed one last year some freshly caught panfish. Gulp, down goes the entire fish. When they crap, it's like some disgusting yet brilliant white paste that comes out.

496 But the scientific dataset [Meta's] Galactica is trained on makes it a little different from other LLMs. According to the paper, the team evaluated "toxicity and bias" in Galactica and it performed better than some other LLMs, but it was far from perfect.

Carl Bergstrom, a professor of biology at the University of Washington who studies how information flows, described Galactica as a "random bullshit generator." It doesn't have a motive and doesn't actively try to produce bullshit, but because of the way it was trained to recognize words and string them together, it produces information that sounds authoritative and convincing -- but is often incorrect.

That's a concern, because it could fool humans, even with a disclaimer.

497 We have egrets in a pond on occasion. They like to fish for sport. They stand without any movement, until some unlucky fish swims near and then whap!, the egret spears the fish. Then he often lets the fish go. Now you have a fish in the pond with a hole through his middle.

503 They got CBS to admit the Hunter laptop is real because CBS knows the hearings are coming.

Posted by: JackStraw at November 23, 2022 09:28 AM

And they know admitting it now is safe, since they helped rig and steal 2 election cycles. The Deep State successfully censored the story for 2+ years to help rig and steal elections and achieve full power and control of the federal government and national institutions.

This is what the Left has done for decades. Better to ask for forgiveness (in court) than permission. Even if they go down in court, it is years later, and it is too late to do anything about the consequences of the crime (rigged and stolen election and power grab).

Remember all the people who went to prison over the 2008 economic corruption and collapse. Remember all the people who went to prison over the 2020 election rigging and steal. Remember all the people who have been arrested over the 2022 election rigging and steal.

There have been zero consequences for any Deep State corruption for decades. So it will continue.

504 Re: Respect for Marriage Act

Advocate dot com, in part:
"A bipartisan group of senators Monday announced an amendment to the bill to allay concerns that it would threaten religious freedom. The amendment confirms that no nonprofit religious organization would have to provide goods, services, or facilities for wedding ceremonies or receptions, AND it clarifies that the federal government would not have to recognize polygamous marriages. If the Senate passes the bill with the amendment, it would have to go back to the House for another vote, as it would be a new version." (Emphasis added)
“The essential point is this: [DOMA] is a discriminatory, offensive law that resulted in too many couples being denied access to the more than 1,100 federal benefits associated with marriage,” the HRC notes.

It has now passed the Senate; the final vote will be after Thanksgiving.

Thanks to Schumer and also Portman, Collin and Tillis.

I've been waiting for this.

Next, Chinese cops will put on UN blue helmets and march in America's streets to keep order as "2000 Mules" stuff ballot boxes and the corrupted online voting machines flip votes to the left...unless of course, there's enough Haitians and Venezuelans here by then to "vote" in the new Globalist Pharoah.

507 Where it begins and ends is the 19th Amendment. We've become a matriarchy, none of which existed in history, and the solution is THAT easy: Repeal 19. What will we get? Safer streets, closed borders, higher fertility - ie a continuation of Western Civilization - lower housing prices, increased family formation, better schools, more community. It's really that easy and all it takes. The idea we could keep the republic the Founders designed without keeping the franchise they created to sustain it always has been absurd.
