  • So you're building a PC and you just want a basically decent video card that doesn't cost three arms and a leg and require its own substation. What about the new Radeon 6700 (non-XT). Is that any good? Yes. (Tom's Hardware)

It's cheaper than Nvidia's RTX 3060, and if you're not playing with ray tracing turned on it's 25% faster. If you are using ray tracing it's 10% slower, so there is a tradeoff to consider.

  • Hololive EN and ID are streaming Minecraft again. I've missed that. Other games tend to be too distracting to have on while I work, but Minecraft is mostly building and chatting, or gathering resources and chatting, or dying horribly in the Nether and chatting.

15 The collapse of many of these CryptoCoins is going to end up providing cover for FTX, and the Democrat money laundering operation. They'll blather to the jury about how it's not that he stole all the money (or rather they all stole the money) but how the loss in value is beyond their control. The lawyers will then blather on about Crypto and the juror's eyes will glaze over, since no one will know about the nature id the coins and will be confused by any tech aspect.

A complicit prosecutor will do his worst to actually counter the argument, since their bosses are connected to those doing the laundering. And in 2 months this will all just be labeled as a sad accident in a volatile market, and everyone will be free to ebb it the billions they pilfered in to unmarked bank accounts, claiming that money disappeared.

16 Has anyone went from having a satellite/tv package to just streaming?

I'm looking to switch my parents over, but trying to figure out what they need.

Think i determined they watch stuff on about 45 channels, but could probably do with 30 or less.

First going to upgrade their router, the Netgear Nighthawk 5400 or 7000, are on sale for $150 or $220 this black Friday. Then i think they need 2 Fire Sticks or the equivalent. Then there's stations.

Think Paramount, Peacock and Hulu cover most, which all have done good black Friday deals. Then an HD antenna and ota DVR to cover some stuff. The only problem is local sports for my dad, seems you can only get MSG and YES through expensive streaming providers ($90/ month) which completely defeats the purpose of getting them a cheaper tv set up.

Anyone have any other suggestions for stuff they use instead of traditional cable/ satellite?

25 And the evening and the morning are the Thanksgiving Eve! Hello, all. I woke from a long dream in which I was in LA for some reason, drove on an Interstate to an exit, parked my car, and jogged to an office building. Darned if I know why I was doing this. (Saw a minor actor who used to be on Beverly Hills, 90210.) Then I was uncertain in which direction I should walk back. The entrance to the Interstate I was going to use was under water (!), so I wound up asking some workmen outside a warehouse. They confirmed I should walk east.

Then I woke up and Stirling the black kitten began to nuzzle my arm. I live such an exciting life.

Anybody brave enough to hit the grocery today?

That sounds really good. Do you ever sip coffee while smoking the pipe? I find that it compliments the flavor of the tobacco. For cigars, I usually go with Madeira simply because I can dip the end in the glass and it softens the taste and sharpness of the leaf.

57 45 Bruce, the work environment in general. A couple days ago I was at the casino. Not the main one, I was in the little travel center operation. The only person there was the cop, a guy I always talk to. The main casino is shutting down at 2:00 am four nights a week due to lack of help. Cop was telling me they have application and instant hiring, followed by orientation. Half the people hired leave during orientation when they find out what's expected of them, which the cop said has about doubled. You go into a dollar store and it's rare there's two employees. Usually one manning the register and stocking.

Check his history of drug use. Ten bucks says he's a regular user. As I said yesterday, "Conservatives" keep missing the plot on these shootings and acts of violence. It's about the drugs and the mental health issues that result.
But nope, we'll spend the rest of the week playing defense on "gun rights", bank on it.

80 DM's bullet points; and I thought Dick Delaware was Biden's nickname??:

Colorado gay club shooter is NON-BINARY and uses they/ them pronouns, lawyer says - as it's revealed estranged father is MMA fighter and PORN STAR named 'Dick Delaware'
+Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22, is suspected of murdering five people and injuring others at Club Q in Colorado on Saturday
+The suspect's original name, however, is Nicholas Franklin Brink before he changed it to Anderson Lee Aldrich in 2016
+According to a petition, the name change was meant 'to protect himself and his future from any connections to birth father,' Aaron Brink
+Brink reportedly left Aldrich's mother when Anderson was a baby, before taking up MMA and porn, under the alias 'Dick Delaware'
+He also appeared on camera on the reality shows Divorce Court and Intervention in 2009, when his fiancée tried to get him to stop using crystal meth

Driving through the state during covid, it looked like the Gov and her crew had really ground down the people with mask mandates and the like. Maybe she's celebrating her reelection and putting out the word early that it's going to happen again.

Streaming? Yeah, I use Fire-sticks and use Hulu, Amazon, and Netflix. Because of the World Series, I signed up with Yahoo for one month - which has a lot of stations, including some sports.

203 Remember, the US has been funneling money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, including funding “gain of function” research specifically intended to increase the virulence and dangerousness of viruses for research purposes. We funded the latter through the EcoHealth Alliance, as has been established decisively. That research was successful–they created a virulent virus that made mice, at least, sicker. And they did it in a lab that was not safe. This is established.

We don’t know if the effects would be the same on humans, although as you may recall 100% of the research done on the COVID boosters was in 8 mice, not humans, so clearly mice experiments can translate to humans. Even “fact checkers” debunking concerns about the paucity of evidence for safety and effectiveness concede that the data comes from 8 mice. So not comforting.

I dont think there will be human test results for another 2 or 3 years!!

The sickening cache of decaying bodies was found in late October during a festival called El Cervantino in Guanajato, a violent state ravaged by drug cartel murders, according to Agence French-Presse.

Desperate people rushed to the burial site in the town of Irapuato after seeing the dog with the exhumed hand, and started looking for signs of their lost loved one — even as music from the nearby celebration could be heard in the background.||

Wiki: "The festival originates from the mid 20th century, when short plays by Miguel de Cervantes called entremeses (singular entremés) were performed in the city's plazas. Guanajuato is a small colonial-era city with a rich cultural history. In 1972, the festival was expanded with federal support to include more events to add a more international flavor."

Mercifalfeckin' hell How Gawd amn revolting. Hopefully the kids out grow that shit. Some parents deserve Charges of child cruelty aand gaol time. That is just frickin’ sick.

To have an unhealthy relationship with firearms. Those pictures are meant to indoctrinate the children in those families to place a high value on firearms aside from their use as tools for hunting, self defense, etc...

Downright nauseating. Revolting. And I'd call it an set of implied threats. What business do you clowns have with all those guns? Gotta be ready to shoot somebody?

What American family needs an assault rifle? These parents should be charged with reckless endangerment of their own children.

If they were not white there'd be an uproar.
