For the past two months, animal trainer Mark Vette has been teaching dogs to drive, New Zealand TV station Campbell Live reported. The lessons are part of a campaign by the New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), meant to clear up "common misconceptions" about rescue dogs. "Sometimes people think because they're getting an animal that's been abandoned, that somehow it's a second-class animal," SPCA Auckland CEO Christine Kalin told the New Zealand Herald. "Driving a car actively demonstrates to potential rescue dog adopters that you can teach an old dog new tricks." Kalin added that the canines' achievements behind the wheel shows "just how much potential all dogs from the SPCA have as family pets." All the new drivers are shelter dogs: Monty, an 18-month Giant Schnauzer, was given to the SPCA when he became too much for his owner to handle. Ginny, a 1-year-old whippets cross, was rescued from an abusive home. Porter, a 10-month old Beardie cross, was abandoned on the streets. The dogs trained for several weeks before hopping into a real car, modified to accommodate the unique needs of a canine driver. They showed their road-readiness in a nationally broadcast drivers test. That's where the footage from the first clip comes from, I think. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)Posted by: April--dash my lace wigs! at November 23, 2022 05:43 PM (OX9vb) 2

I told dad he is only getting turkey from the neighbor's meal this year cuz I'm not going to face the grocery rush. So I have a pork loin from the freezer thawing to cook as our feast meal on the weekend. It will brine and should work fine for cottage pie leftovers. I think it is cottage pie that has mashed taters on top instead of a pie crust. I'll probably buy a turkey breast to cook sometime in December.

Nassau county has a law that says if you have a carry permit, you have to report every call you make to 911, report every incident that involves 911 in which you're a witness, or even if you're a third party to an incident that involves 911 you must report it within three days. If you don't, you lose your permit. GoA talks about a woman who lost her permit because she failed to report that she called 911 to tell them a woman threatened her life. She's the victim, but she loses her carry permit. https://bit.ly/3U6kOou Posted by: bonhomme at November 23, 2022 06:30 PM (eyxn4) Posted by: Notorious BFD at November 23, 2022 06:31 PM (Xrfse) Posted by: I am the Shadout Mapes, the Housekeeper at November 23, 2022 06:31 PM (PiwSw) 207

Avatar 2: Ferngully Boogaloo supposedly cost 400M to make. Add in the marketing, say 200M (no way are they doing the usual Hollywood thing of doubling the cost of the film for marketing). 600M just to break even. Did anyone really think it'd do that well? The only thing I can figure is that Disney was planning on using the impending loss in the 20th Century division as a tax writeoff to offset the huge profits from Marvel Phase IV. Oops.
