Another Post-Election Surprise! Trump Was Not, Repeat Not, Attempting To Sell Nuclear Secrets to Russia, Admit FBI Leakers and Washington Post

Another revelation it's safe to disclose... after the election.

Kevin Downey at PJM:

There is nothing funnier than watching leftist Punchinellos beclown themselves over the latest "We've got Trump NOW!" hijinks.

I don't know what Punchinello means. I assume it's QAnon racist code or something.

Remember when the FBI raided Trump's home supposedly looking for "nuclear secrets" a few months back? Guess how that turned out?

I'll let the quislings at the Washinton Post spell it out:

Federal agents and prosecutors have come to believe former president Donald Trump's motive for allegedly taking and keeping classified documents was largely his ego and a desire to hold on to the materials as trophies or mementos, according to people familiar with the matter.

In other words, Trump was keeping souvenirs, as everyone else does.

Funny how WaPo sat on that story until after the midterms, right?

But wait, there's more!

That review has not found any apparent business advantage to the types of classified information in Trump's possession, these people said. FBI interviews with witnesses so far, they said, also do not point to any nefarious effort by Trump to leverage, sell or use the government secrets. Instead, the former president seemed motivated by a more basic desire not to give up what he believed was his property, these people said.

More at the link.

I try to remind myself that as much as Trump exhausts me with the stuff Trump actually does -- "I know Ron DeSantis better than his wife, and I might say some things that he wouldn't like people to know," "Young Kin-- interesting point, sounds Chinese" -- much of what exhausts me about Trump isn't stuff Trump did, but stuff the Deep State did in their obsessive pursuit of Trump. And I can't blame Trump for the Deep State exhausting me with their lunatic pursuit of Trump.

I admit, sometimes I do allow my judgment to be colored by the general, undifferentiated pile of exhaustion relating to Trump, without parsing out which parts of it are actually due to Trump, and which are due to his obsessive, lunatic, and evil Deep State Democrat Jalverts.

Which is part of their intent, at least when their frenzied minds are sane enough to actually formulate rational intentions.

No one will give this story real coverage. It will never be formally announced that they found nothing. A leak will be the best they will give Trump-- and this isn't meant as a favor to Trump. This leak is just to let the frenzied Democrat partisans know that they shouldn't expect anything to come from this particular baseless persecution.

They never clear Trump; they deliberately permit all allegations and suspicions to molder and stink forever, without ever dispelling them by clearing the air.

Just like they never really push the information that Michael Brown assaulted Officer Wilson and attempted to wrest his gun from him and kill him with it -- they let the "Gentle Giant killed by a cop for nothing" story persist, so that people still bring it up on CNN and MSNBC years later, and no one corrects them. And they let it persist intentionally, precisely so that it does pass into the realm of mythic resonance where its truth or falsity no longer matters. It's now a teaching tale, like a fable of Aesop.

Same with the Russia Collusion Op. The media leaves it vague and pretends it's still an open question upon which well-intentioned people can disagree as to whether Trump really was a Russian Agent or not. It was conclusively disproven, so the media, like the Black Knight in Monty Python, sportingly offers to call it a draw.

But we're the ones with the disinformation problem, right?

I remember seeing photos of DJTs office in Trump tower, pre presidency and thinking he really needed one of those HGTV organizers. The window sills were piled with magazines, papers etc.

You have to tackle the FBI as one would take over a business organization and reorganize it.

Create an oversight and reorganization commission, immediately fire the dead wood, wind down the non-performing elements, move vital elements into existing agencies and bureaus, evaluate whether any form of FBI is necessary, if necessary constrain them to those function and those function only, create oversight hierarchy that is answerable and firable by a house and Senate select committee.

Trump is not equipped with filters, he says whatever comes to mind and that can be very tiring. The difference is, McCain had a voting record that clearly showed he was basically a Democrat. He even talked with the Dem leader Daschle about switching parties. Always took the media's/Dem's side on any policy dispute.

DeSantis is just the opposite, he goes out of his way for "risky" policy goals that make the Establishment uncomfortable.

I've yet to hear a single, concrete reason why DeSantis is not a rock ribbed conservative. If you prefer Trump over DeSantis, fine, but Trump is not the only individual capable of being a non-establishment conservative.

This is true. I'm still trying to adjust to the new normal, which is effectively that the Dems will manufacture as many votes - or ballots as is the fashionable term - as needed to win any election in certain states. Despite what many said (in blind hope), nothing at all changed in PA, NV, GA, AZ, etc. Nothing will change until those who commit the crimes are exposed and punished. Which will never happen.

177 There should be a 10x truth over lie in a future liable and slander law.

A demonstrable falsehood needs to be corrected on the front page ten times in a bold font ten times larger to release one liability. A lie promulgated vocally needs to have the correction lead the program ten times and the person saying it making the correction.

Until then there is still liability and is actionable in court. Not making the ten corrections and letting a lie stand would serve as evidence of malice.

Know the truth and it will set you free.

214 Trump fatigue is basically created by the press and the left - not sure who it was that pointed this out years ago in the blogosphere, but the whole point of shrieking in your ear day after day, from the press to the radical Dems, is for you, Mr. Joey Normal, to just want to make it want to stop. If they just vote for the lefty whackadoo dem being promoted, it will stop, won't it?

But it doesn't stop. It's the point. Constantly make it more painful to not keep the media and left in power than vote them out.

So, when that lefty NGO dude with the manbun shows up for your mail-in ballot in August, you gladly let him fill it out for you - anything to stop the shrieking. But he's back, shrieking all the same just two years later.

216 I'm embarrassed. I was at the post office in my very small town. Picked up everything and was running across the street. I run. Always. That's my thing.

I stumbled and fell right in the street in our town's main stoplight. Very quickly picked everything up and ran to the car. On the plus side, everyone that saw that thought that I recovered like a twenty year old...

And my car was parked outside the beer store. Not a good look. But, being a moron, I went in, returned some cans and bought 7 500 ml cans of "86 Red" at 7.9%.

I haven't been here for a while. Too angry. But still wanted to share.

I'm not sure that's really true. Red wave or no red wave Republicans got millions more votes this past election and Trump did get more legal votes than any sitting president in history.

Call it cheating or gaming the system but Democrats have to do unusual crap to win. They aren't winning fair fights.

If we are going to win we need to stop voting like it's 1976 and start beating Democrats at their own game. Ballot harvesting, mass mail in voting dubious voters, if they are going to employ these techniques then we need to as well and we need to do it better than they do.

Also he had traitors throughout government working hand in hand with the leftist media stabbing him in the back through the plandemic. But he still seemed to steamroll them. I'm not saying he had to handle the same level of opposition as Trump. But he did not let them bait him. Trump seemed to always take the bait. He was reactionary. In lieu of taking the reins and acting. The left pulled his strings both externally and from within.

I realize now that I don't really care how much an executive battles the left and their media minions in the press. Although DeathSanta did some of that too. I care about what they do, their executive actions, and what concrete changes in my life do they affect.

But anyone making positive changes will be destroyed by the GOPe grifting class. That's the real enemy.

All celebrities must follow the approved narrative or be cast into outer darkness of being ordinary schlubs.

So they can't ever favor the right in public and speak fairly about them as it costs them money. The best you can hope for is silence. If you get entertained by them, then ignore their political speak and try to enjoy the rest of it. If not entertained, find other sources that do.

Some people can block out political views of the performer, some can't. Do whatever you like on that.

You can also be entertained by recordings of dead performers who really cannot comment on today's politics outside of a seance.

constitutional convention would be useless - inevitably, it would produce 2 or more versions of a new constitution, with different areas backing different versions. There is no possible way that the entire country could agree on anything new; the only thing in favor of the idea is that this might be the mechanism that ends the legitimacy of the current system and devolves back into 50 independent entities which can then reform themselves.

but then that idea crashes into the rocks of realizing that all social security, medicare, etc gets canceled if that happens.

Neither you or I are God, however. As people of faith who want justice we tend to believe that God will judge the wicked with justice eventually but ourselves with mercy. I don't think McCarthy would quit but he could if he thinks it's all for the best. For himself.

367 Worse still, these continued false allegations, with halfhearted retractions, make each subsequent allegation, no matter how ridiculous, more likely to be pursued.

There is a sense not that he wasn't guilty, but that he was, and they simply failed to "nail" that guy. They start to believe almost anything, and anyone.

372 Neither you or I are God, however. As people of faith who want justice we tend to believe that God will judge the wicked with justice eventually but ourselves with mercy. Reid had pancreatic cancer, As a person of faith (and I believe he did claim to be a Mormon) serious illnesses tend to focus one's attention on things beyond this life.

373 we need to stop voting like it's 1976/i]

I remember 1976 pretty well. My dad and I watched the TV election coverage together, for the first time. What do you think was fundamentally different about the Dem victory in 1976, compared to now? Because I don't see a damn bit of difference.

You might try running out 1876. GOP cheated and won.

377 OMG - unlike most politicians, Trump has an ego! What would we do without all the self-effacing Dems like Chuck Schumer to protect us from him?!

378 Trump should run on a platform of prompt and fair justice for the few January Nine protesters who broke any law, immediate release and restitution for the vast majority who are innocent, and a major asskicking for the Feds who conspired to pull this trick!

Only Trump has the balls to right this horrible wrong, and he can cleanse America's stain for what happened!

379 What I find most amusing about this blog post is the admitted abject ignorance.

Does the author think the Democrats, their media, and their Deep State Praetorian Guard are going to take it any easier on any future Republican Presidential nominee, such as DeSantis, after the success they had slandering and hounding President Trump for over six years now?

The author admits his brain is so challenged by the arduous task of separating his exhaustion of President Trump’s mean tweets from his exhaustion at listening to the non-stop slanders of the Democrats, media, and Deep State that he no longer tries.

But the author thinks that either DeSantis or Youngkin are going to have great success in demolishing the national Dems, media, and Deep State because they are so strong in Florida and Virginia?

President Trump created a movement that humiliated the Republican (Bush) and Democratic (Clinton) Royal Families.

Who have DeSantis and Youngkin defeated?

Think. DeSantis barely won his first election against a guy who makes Beto appear supernormal. And Charlie Crist has become more unlikeable the more he switches Parties and becomes an abject pathetic panderer.
