The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

punk-monkey.jpg

Ah yes...one more iteration of the regular schedule of fading actor/comedian/media personality vomiting up some pathetic political or social drivel they pretend is erudition. The reality is that these people are not thinkers, they are not scholars, they are rarely well educated, and they have lived in an insular world -- truly a bubble -- for so long that they have no sense of the larger world. And to top it off, their much lauded (by each other) skills of mimicry and pretend are useless outside of their industry of make-believe. They are merely dancing monkeys, paid well to entertain.

Monty Python's Eric Idle says he hates conservatives: 'they're horrible people'

He also recalled a past tweet where he said that “I do not believe in freedom of speech for fascists. That’s like putting diesel in a Tesla.”

“I grew up in that world,” he said, explaining that he was a “war baby” from World War II, noting that fascism was “very real to us, fascism — what can happen if you let one person take over a country, so that still rings very strongly with me in my soul.”

He also slammed conservatives in his own country: “I hate them intensely, I’ve always hated conservatives, I’m afraid to say I’m very prejudiced against them, they’re horrible people.”

What a bloviating, obfuscating ass he is! He didn't grow up with fascism...he was born in 1943, and the "fascists" he refers to were destroyed by the time he became aware. The true fascists were those far to the east, but he would never criticize the demonic rule of the communists over the Soviet Union, because that would be biting the hand that feeds his political beliefs. Of course he lives in America rather than the UK, because he is nothing more than a champagne socialist, willing to spout the rhetoric but never, ever live it!

That he denies "cancel culture" exists is a testament to his stupidity, and to his groveling, blind, unthinking faith in the progressive machine that tells him exactly how to behave, exactly how to think, and exactly who to hate. This is nothing more than Orwell's "Two Minutes Hate," and conservatives are Idle's Emmanuel Goldstein.

So in response to your professed hatred of me, I ask only that you go back to your dressing room, put your clown nose on, and do your job...being a buffoon for my entertainment.

14 I believe most of the Pythons, including Idle, were "well educated," in that they were parts of the English upper class public school crowd.

Lots of proto-marxist drivel came out of such locales, when he was there. Fascists in their minds, were anybody not towing the marxist line. In the 80s for example, Thatcher and Reagan were fascists. It didn't really mean anything, other than "to the right of us."

Still doesn't.

I don’t know what the cultural climate was in Britain then, but I am certain the Marxist brainwashers, er, educators were hard at work. It seems over the next 60 years he was Idle, thinkingwise.

People who believe in freedoms are now fascists, people who believe in state control over everything are great preservers of "muh precious democracy". It's all backwards, but of course they work to manufacture the crisis that allows the hatred and name calling. Take the UK with the migrants being put up in hotels at the expense of those "fascists", if you don't like this, YOU are to blame and a hater. They have also repackaged ISIS bride and terror supporter Shemima Begum as a " trafficked child" who you hate because she is "brown". Manufacturing processes, for me, but it refers to randomness you can define. A bell curve distribution, for instance. Or, completely random, but from zero to one. (or, only zero or one). Etc.

To apply it to terrorism implies some control or knowledge of how it's occurring, you know the parameters. Now that I think about, they could be using it right.

They made a concerted effort to push their new meme, and redefine words to suit their need. It is now not two separate well defined words, it is a two word meme. "Stochastic Violence" is caused by conservative (non-Woke) speech.

Stochastics in financial charting (whether it is really predictive or not) is a set math derived value. Many people use it as a predictor of future stock movements. That is the way most people (?) know the word ... seemingly random values give a predicted outcome.

So they try to dress up their "randomness" with something that they (the knowers of sciencey thangs) can understand. And it may become science to the point of a criminal offense ... Your (conservative) Speech = Violence. Shut up or you get the dawn raid, and Guantanamo for domestic terrorism.

110 Millions Of Euros Of Celtic Gold Stolen From Bavarian Museum In 9 Minute Heist
Employees at the Roman-Celtic museum in the Bavarian town of Manching discovered 450 Celtic coins valued at several million euros was apparently looted from a display case early Tuesday morning.

Local police said that a "showcase was broken," although investigators provided scant additional hints as to who or what may be behind the alleged heist, AFP news agency reported.

Authorities were quick to note that there had been a disruption to phone and internet services at the time.

The robbery is the latest in a series of high-profile heists in Germany of museums.

Dresden's Royal Palace was hit by thieves in 2019 who staged a bold nigh-time raid on the Green Vault Museum. That heist was worth at least €113.8 million ($117 million).

so imo, the random term as they use it, applies to conservative non-Woke speech. Exactly where the violence will occur can't be known, but more non-woke speech is predictive of violence. (in stochastic gusts?)

But they have it (deliberately) backwards. They are the ones engineering Hate Week and funding violence. Or perhaps actually doing the violence, like breaking the windows on 1/6, or firing flash bangs into a peaceful crowd. They finally got the reaction they provoked.

235 So, to sum up:

Stochastic refers to random data points hidden within a population distribution that can be used to predict a probable outcome, which if it occurs can be attributed to the stochastic data but if it fails to occur can't be blamed on the stochastic data. Perfect for blaming events on whatever you want. Neither provable or unprovable.

Like a weather forecaster predicting a 50% chance of rain tomorrow. He's neither right nor wrong. So he's always right.

236 Whenever ex Pythons (and it seems the majority of them don't) get all wokie, you have to wonder if they are so old they have forgotten what the majority of their material was based on. Men dressed as women being silly, heroes acting like stuffy dull bureaucrats, the elite class being incredibly stupid, making fun of area based stereotypes, and the clip you see now from Life of Brian making fun of a man who wants to be a woman and have babies. Also the occasional cheesecake woman and men being befuddled by her in a very straight way. And making fun of pretentious yet stupid arts and media types. If Python came out now they would be characterized as "alt-right"

238 "Graham Chapman was the only one that I know was ghey, because the rest of them said how surprised they were when they found out. He died of tonsil cancer, which I did not know was a thing. "

That's correct. And openly so. Tonsil cancer is a thing when you were a heavy pipe-smoker, as he was. They were all surprised of course that he was gay, but they handled it pretty well (he threw a coming-out party to tell everyone in his circle). He was a doctor, so I don't know if he'd be on board with the whole "let's turn our children into freaks" thing going on these days, but we'll never know for sure.

So, of all the Pythons, discounting those who died early, like Chapman, it looks like Cleese (and perhaps Palin, who I haven't much about politically) are they only ones who seem to have some sense of a clue. Terry Jones was definitely a hard-left guy before he died, Idle, well, he's always been a lefty, he never made bones about it, and Terry Jones as well.

Posted by: cheshirecat at November 24, 2022 12:52 PM (TwA+r)

239 I've always used stochastic in data to refer to the data in a time series not being independent of the previous data point. For example, if the average oil price over the past year is $80 but today is $90 and the standard deviation is plus or minus $3, then there is a 65% chance that tomorrow's oil price will be between $87 and $93, not between $77 and $83, because tomorrow's price is dependent on today's price.

So the fascists he refers to are those who question his position and views, you know the people with the wrong kind of accent and whose daddies didn't belong to the right regiment.

Toffs like these are a dime a dozen and they made of joke of the empire and now boast a PM of long, honored and ancient Anglo Saxon roots.
