I watch a Youtube channel where a guy who was a Shou Lin Monk (I mean a real one, in a temple in China) talks about stuff, including martial arts movies, video games, and life as a monk in the temple. He points out that most of what they learn now is for show, and for tourists.

True story: I nuked a paper wasp nest, big as a football, with a home-made M80-style bomb. Home-made powder, wrapped in tightly-rolled newspaper, some cannon fuse. Waited until sunset, stuffed that puppy up into the hole in the bottom of the nest. Furious buzzing ensued, but they couldn't escape. Lit the fuse, and retreated. Earth-shattering Kaboom! And the air was filled with confetti: newsprint, hornet nest, and insect wings. Got every damned one.

I am not sure this is the case - RDS is MAGA, too. If the Obama/Trump voter is based on the person of Trump, yes, you are right.

But a good ballot harvesting program might pick those votes up, too. Oz was Trump's handpicked candidate so this means the Trump voter rejected Trump's pick.

I am told there is a problem in Indonesia with villager women being eaten by pythons. The villagers put in illegal gardens on protected government land, and because of the mandate for biodegradable, sustainable sandbags and tarps, they can put in gardens that won't be seen, unlike before when they used the older blue polytarp material. Because of that the government can't spot them from the air, and the villager women go and tend them in the night when they won't get caught, more villager women get eaten by giant pythons that hunt by night.

The stuff that is cured with salt and sugar, and salt and sugar and chili is pretty good, you want to sear it a bit on the burner of the stove. It pairs nice with cheap beer like PBR

My wife adores the dried squid that is just strips of dried squid and some salt to stabilize it.
Squids have a lot of ammonia in their system for buoyancy, so the stuff she likes tastes of ammonia and low tide.
I will eat it, because I love my wife enough to get some down (kimchi as well) but I won't eat it for preference

Several of the guys I used to work with had campers. Expensive campers. They'd prattle on and on about their "outdoor adventures" at some campground with running water, electricity, sewers, etc.

I told them that was pretty much towing your hotel room and paying for the parking spot.

They never asked me to "glamp" with them.

For the record, I don't camp. Never have. Don't see the allure. But towing your living room miles isn't "camping" by any stretch of the imagination.

This is a misinterpretation of Florida. While election integrity is a big issue in Florida and keep the Dems from stealing, the GOP won here by matching the Dem early vote strategy.

GOP had more early votes in Miami-Dade than Dems. The election was already won before the precincts opened on Election Day. ED voting was just gravy.

And that is the danger of continuing to blame fraud for the losses. It misses the real issue, that the Democrats have an effective, and unbeatable (except in FL and CA right now) ballot machine. The game is not about persuading the voters, it is about finding every available ballot in the wild and getting them submitted during the early vote period.

You can call this fraud if you want, but it skirts the edges of legality and is becoming more legal in state after state (Michigan question 2 passed). If the GOP doesn't play to win, they are dead.

I have grown to enjoy sleeping outside without a tent, weather permitting, on a ground cloth and in my sleeping bag. I find caring for the tent generally to be a pain in the ass.

My day job just prevents me from doing more than just sketch or do minor charcoal work as you can see from my posted stuff. Probably only Fen knows about that.

357 I remember one time horseback riding up into the wilderness hunting for elk. -30 deg F weather.

We dug pits in the ground, built a massive bonfire and stacked it with stones and rocks. We heated the rocks, stacked them in the pits and slept on them because it was so fucking cold. The mountain lions screamed all night because they wanted to get at our horses.

I was in a figure drawing class, and it hit me. What am I seeing vs what I know the human figure looks like. It was a pretty big moment. I spent the rest of the semester seeking out unusual angles and foreshortening.
