Aw. Puppy is shamed.

Percussion pup.

Shoop!

Foomp!

Sapphire blue snake.

Free transfer.

I linked this before, but it's so pleasant: the comforting sounds of the 80s.

A wizard of illoooosion.

These snakes are tiny and harmless but they're still wigging me out!

Bicycle with a driveshaft instead of chains connecting the pedal gear to the wheel gear. Does this work? No idea!

Drama on the dancefloor.

I had one of these in my old model train set. Well, I'm lying. I wanted one of these for my old model train set. I was just trying to impress you, bragging about my old model train set. It was a nice train set, O-scale, real beaut. Nope, I'm lying again, it was just HO. I really just want you to think I was super-cool and had a really nice model train set.

I'm actually driving the boat in the below video:

No, sorry, i wasn't really driving the boat. I was just trying to impress you again.

But I really did have a model train set.

49 Interesting thing on the way home..here in PHX area there is a news station that seems to be trying to be "sorta commonsense conservative" ie they don't really go full MSM but they treat MAGA as "extreme". They have been doing a thing where they have five people who dropped off ballots election day call in and say who they voted for. It ended up 50-50 between Hobbs and Lake. Now conventional wisdom says those votes are going to go heavy GOP. Is this a narrative bender to try to get people to accept that these votes will not give Lake the win? Obviously supposedly random people calling in is about as easily manipulated as can be. The local MSM is also heavily making the case that Lake is " extreme" for questioning why the count is taking so long. But nobody questions why Hobbs is the official in charge of the election.

Materials would have to be to be tough enough to not snap or rigid enough to not deflect and slip, given the lack of heavy casings that would go in conventional motorcycle gear drives.

Few years ago thought I had the flu for about 3 days, then noticed a rash covering my whole body, sick as shit. Went to ER at the VA and they determined I either had syphilis or rocky mountain spotted fever. Had 104 temp and had to jump in a cold shower to break it. Sick for 2 weeks, think it was a tick but never did find out. Watch out for the VA.

Yeah, but helical gearsets really need either an oil bath in an enclosed casing, or some really incredibly sticky grease, which would attract abrasive dirt from the bicycle environment, making it quite the gear-eating grinding compound.

That ceramic roller get-up is about ideal in terms of minimal friction losses. AND, as you can see on that rear sprocket, sliding the shaft-bearing-collar forward or rearward on that shaft's splines will engage a huge selection of different effective ratios on that rear gearset. Can't do that with a helical, fixed ratio gear.

230 Dana/Spicer made and marketed a shaft drive system for bicycles 40 years ago. There are mechanical losses when you change rotational direction, no matter the means, and they are greater than the losses of a chain. There's a potential advantage they're overlooking in this layout: by telescoping the drive tube, they could change the engagement point on the rear web, and achieve a gearing ratio variation. Without that feature, they've really got nothing to offer.

There's a steam engine and turntable in Chatanooga that offers tours. Great place to visit, especially if you've got old or young with you. IIRC it's one of 7 remaining operating/functional steam engines running, and they have a restoration yard that you get to walk around as the turntable is in operation.

Worth a visit.

283 I feel BAD for the Gen-Z youth that got sucked into Joe's carrot and stick ploy with the Student Loan (Illegal) Forgiveness Act. (Not really..do drugs and die please.)

Shows just how the stupid has been passed out of our "Higher Institutions of LEARNING" over the last 10 years, (if not more). Truly, these dumb fucks constitute our future leaders? I give you Fetterman as a current example of how we can foresee the power of GEN-Z.

Fetterman...STROKE DUDE...EXPRESSIVE APGAGIA...All the Speech therapy available will NOT FIX THIS.

Sit down and have a chat with the Fetterman Gen-Z...when your not stoned to the gills.
