I don't think they got it wrong. I think the last polls before the election did accurately gauge voter sentiment. What the polls didn't account for, though, are mainly two things. First, in the House, so many districts are so gerrymandered that it's very hard -- if not impossible -- for the GOP to make the kinds of gains some polls were predicting.
Second, in the Senate and to a lesser degree the House, the use of widespread mail-in voting inflated the Dumocrap vote totals. Many of the ballots were fraudulent or harvested from someone who never would have voted otherwise. But even legitimate votes were cast early that might not have been cast on election day. How many votes did Ogreman get in PA before it became clear how minimally he was functional? A few hundred thousand, easy.

What the electorate is, though, is way too big. Most people (rightly) know their vote doesn't matter and have no idea who these people they are supposed to vote for are. (Oh, you know who they are? Really? I doubt it. You know their names and what they SAY they will do but almost no one knows "who they are")
As a result, the evil party can easily gin up enough "votes" through machine politics- walking around money, paying for votes, "ASSISTING" voters, and other such fraud, to ensure that their retarded agenda can succeed.
Government needs to be a LOT closer to the people- they can be much better held to account that way. (No, that's not perfect either, but we get a lot better government, on the whole, when they are afraid of the voters.)
I saw someone pointing out that the left is no longer worried about voters choosing them: they've instead chosen their own voters and harvest them like a crop.

From what I understand D turnout wasn't particularly great, R turnout was similar to 2018, D turnout was way down, Rs won the popular vote nationwide by a large margin. It's just the turnout isn't in the right areas. And certainly, yes we're dramatically underperforming Trump's numbers.

The math in the past has always been that low employment meant the party in power loses. The Dems have been pumping up numbers on the dole but those people mostly don't vote. The workers vote and if they are out of work, the party in power loses. Period.

People in GA voted for Kemp because he was not Abrams. A lot of people are still pissed about GOPe cowardice in 2020 and after this election a Trump Maga guy is now Lt. Gov and runs the state Senate. Kemp had little if no coattails over the generic GOP executive vote except had a bump in black males going for him over Abrams.
Ratshitburger (GOPe secretary of state) won his primary only by bringing in Dems to vote in the Republican primary as there was no real contests on the Dem side this year. But, his power for his office were clipped somewhat by a new State Election Board with more power than the old one to override SoS decisions that he did in 2020. His career is effectively over in the GOP.

That is one of the less intelligent takes I have seen on Georgia politics. Kemp was directly responsible for shivving a far better candidate in favor of Loeffler who donated a bunch of money to Kemp for the honor. The GOPe also engineered the whole thing by Isaakson's retirement which could have been put off until 2021. Most of the GOP in Georgia is firmly attached to sucking whatever corporate bucks they can into their pockets while the state goes to hell.

I don't understand the split ticket myself, but part of the explanation is that Kemp is a popular incumbent challenged by a nasty skank in Tank. Not only is Walker not the incumbent, he's trying to unseat a mildly popular incumbent. So Kemp would get more votes than Walker. That doesn't surprise me, but it seems Kemp got a LOT more votes than Walker.

Kemp got about a percent higher or so than the other generic lower executive department races but he spread around a lot of money prior to that--massive teacher raises, bunch of covid related spending, etc. plus Abrams turned off some black males who voted for Kemp but also voted for Warnock. then you need to compare it to the map of your alternative candidate. Which when I've tried to piece it together looks worse.
Either way you slice it I think 2024 is going to be tougher than people are thinking for any R candidate, but Trump looks like he has the best shot. And if our odds aren't good anyways, why send someone else?

Walker got outspent by Warnock by a significant amount in the general election. Unless the GOPe gives up and funds GOTV, Warnock will probably win because he is spending heavily on GOTV including ballot harvesting operations. There is also probably a racial issue that two blacks running against each other turns off some rural independent voters. Not a large effect but when you have a close race, every vote counts.
This runoff is scheduled for December whereas in 2020 the GOP purposefully moved the runoff after the Nov. election from December to January which may have cost the GOP one of those seats.

This has been clear for some time. Conspiracies are *really* hard to pull off. Too many moving parts, too many players, too many conflicting interests. It isn't impossible, but it's rare and there's no way that so many things thought of to be conspiracies actually are.
For the most part, it's the harvest planted with the long march through the institutions. You don't need a grand conspiracy when everyone involved from top to bottom believes more or less thing and/or knows the way to the top. I lived in the south most of my life (just outside of Savanah), including attending Naval Supply Corp School in Athens - twice. GA is like a lot of the old south, a good old boy's network (which includes women now, interestingly).
This is why Walker did as well as he did - being a UGA football hero - he's in the club. But Warnock also has a deep connection and feelers into the GA community, particularly the Dem community around Atlanta - its "no outsiders" zone - this is why Tank can't get traction and Trump is shunned - they are perceived as outsiders or are using outsider money/influencers to back themselves or their candidates, and that isn't Georgian. Warnock has gotten away with this by keeping it under wraps, but if Schumer or Fetterman were to come down and try to campaign for Warnock, he'd lose by Tank's numbers - which is why she lost by those numbers.

This seems like an anomaly to me. Kemp won by the traditional GA margin. The senators probably would have as well, but they weren't great choices. The republican bench in GA is pretty thin and the Dems have been fielding good candidates.
Senators seem to be trending young, presentable, and speak well. The message almost doesn't matter to the women who decide.

Perdue probably had over 50 percent in the General election but state GOPe did not want him to challenge it or ask for a recount. The State GOPe moved the date post election from December to January (it is now December again) for the runoff too.

From where I'm sitting, 210 House races have been called R, but we need 8 more.
AK-01 is a definite win - and probably Sarah Palin.
The R is up 2.3% in MD-06, with 99% reporting, so I don't know why THAT hasn't been called.

Georgia is close to being majority minority but the whites are split with the white liberal carpetbagger corporate types around Atlanta and Coastal GA and the original population elsewhere. Not really a statewide retirement mecca like Florida.
The blacks are solidly Democrat and have pretty much become the state Dem party as white dems lose office, retire, or become GOPe candidates. Hispanics in the state, the small percentage that are able to vote, also vote Dem and there are various pockets of other minorities in the metro area that also vote Dem.
Politics in GA is basically now racialist but to keep the corporate bucks keep that on the down low.

The "Red Wave" of 2022 was similar to the Red Wave of 2020 - maybe even bigger. It EXISTED, but the election fraud attenuated the results. FL and OH made that ABUNDANTLY clear, but most people in here don't seem to get it.
The key was to win the Houses of Congress, and some key state races (like Kari Lake) so the situation could be exposed, and something could finally be done about it. That seems to be happening, although I'm worried about the House possibly being stolen while we pat ourselves on the back over that "win".

Nope, the GOPe brigade took some losses. The State Senate is now led by a strong supporter of Trump as Lt. General. Kemp was already losing control of the state legislature as two years terms in both houses tends to have them jockeying for future office rather than careers as state legislators.

That is my guess but I would have to do a deep dive to find out. I am guessing that some of it is actually disguised as the professional GOPe class around Atlanta suburbs rationalizing it as he is only a stupid football player or some such or he paid for an abortion or Orangeman bad icky.
I'll try to take a look at county by county vote versus normal GOP vote to see where Walker fell short.

That a ridiculous assertion. The Dem in that race has about 9%. If the voters of the other Republicans don't pick Palin as their second choice, the race will go to some other Republican, but there's no chance in hell it goes to the Dem.
The same goes for the Senate seat in AK. The only question is whether Murkowski finally gets booted.
Unless you're trying to tell us that the people voting Republican in heavy-R Alaska would pick a DEM as their 2nd choice?

I have 49 so far, but that's from Decision Desk HQ. Do they have an extra Senate race called for a Republican? Really they seem kind of Lefty, to me, so that seems unlikely.
