Ghostbusters Afterlife - the movie from last year - is genuinely good. Almost a textbook on how to make a sequel to a much-loved movie nearly 40 years later. Not perfect, but worth a watch.
As for the 2016 aberrance, I've only seen parts of it. It's crap.

The stock stopped trading Friday morning. Basically as it became 100% certain he was buying everyone started buying the stock, up to right below the sale price, so they can make a bit of money on it (or even just to say they owned Twitter/got paid by Elon) the price being where it is only has to do with the fact that's where he was buying it at.
Now if you got in less then a few weeks ago you could have made a nice return, as at the start of Oct the stock was 20% below where it is now. That's why rich people get richer, I could have purchased like $1,000 of stock and made $200 (minute the government's huge cut) meanwhile billionaire could have purchased a hundred million in stock and made $20 million.

I kind of enjoy surgery, when I had my gall bladder removed they had to go in hardway Doc said my bladder prevented a laparoscopy so I was put under for about three times as long.
I enjoyed being in a near coma, I always have enjoyed being insensate I dream pretty vividly and the last time I was out for a long period I could feel the never babies the wife and I lost through miscarriage.
I am not wanting to die anytime soon, but I find as I age the notion bothers me less.

At least part of this is teenagers trying to get better and stronger drugs to get fucked up on.
We had friends whose teen got involved with drugs and used threats of suicide to get themselves committed. They'd stay over night at a facility, get the drugs and disappear to sell/take the drugs. Then come back, rinse, repeat. Our friends told us this was a common thing apparently and were full of despair.
Weirdly and thankfully, that story had a happy ending as the kid apparently got tired of being a poverty-stricken street rat, cleaned up, and now is perfectly fine. working hard, and building a good life.
God is merciful.

Energy resiliency needs plants that are low maintenance, and has fuel stock on site to handle transportation disruptions.
Wind/Solar does not have this. Nuclear owns this, followed by coal then oil. Natgas depends on some jack-ass not blowing up the feeder pipes.

there should be, in fact as recently as the 1980's we did. As you say, there used to a lot of small refineries across the country; and then the regulatory environment made it impossible to keep most of those in business, so they were shut down. but they're not sitting around waiting to be turned on, most of them were scrapped.

Full use of sliding door and patio (door didn't work for 10 years until we fixed it last year)

How often do you shop? We are around $350 a week for 5 in the house. That will include a few non grocery things but it doesn't include occasional Costco trips that hit $500 pretty easily.

This is why I am so tired of people (including the ewok) bitching about Trump's personnel choices. He was in a snake pit! You think that decorated generals might be close to honest? Nope. I disagree - they used to , but those days are done. 90% of the people I know in my day to day life no longer watch or pay attention to any national news broadcasts, they've tuned out. I'll bet that most of them haven't even heard about this pelosi story, because they don't care anymore about any of that crap.
What they do care about is Inflation and Energy shortages, and that's going to be how they vote.
