What are your hands dressing up as for Halloween?

This guy's Halloween costume is Helicopter Pilot. And also, Helicopter.

Pepsi ad in bus kiosk shows spooky happenings outside the shelter.

Some makeup applications you can do in five minutes for a quickie Halloween makeover.

Doggie destroyer.

Here's a cute Halloween bat video.

Peaceful river scene.

Destroying the evidence.

Elephant returns dropped shoe to child.

Plot twist. Warning: Some animal-on-animal violence.

That's a lot of flamingos.

One year growing up we had a young couple move in next door and the young wife made caramel apples and nobody would take them because it was at the start of the razor blades/apples nonsense. She was soooo sad.

We kids (6 of us) descended on her house in a body and took all she had and she felt better.

Only a few of us bit into razor blades... (joke).

My grammy made popcorn balls. I loved those. Need to find a recipe, sounds like a good thing to make tomorrow.

Living in the country, we just drove to the homes of old ladies from church, Grandma's house, and 4-H friends. Lots of apples and homemade cookies back then. Candy is so expensive right now, I might give out homemade cookies. Is that still legal?

Wrap them individually in plastic.

Find a neighbor's house that isn't home, break in and distribute from there in case one of the kids gets sick from eating too much candy and the parents decide the cookies are to blame.

Hey it's okay to not like The Beatles, that's fare, but you are not allowed to call them lame.
Lame compared to what?

Some of the top songs the year before The Beatles hit were..
Hey Paula, My Boy Friends back, Puff The Magic Dragon, Walk Like A Man, etc.
I mean I actually like all of those songs and I wouldn't call them lame, they were of their time.

The Beatles influenced culture, art, music and fashion for a decade and have had a lasting impact on music.
The only band that could even be considered an equivalent was Nirvana but they were part of a whole movement so aren't a perfect analog.

Here is a recap from my research efforts:
1. There was 1 hammer, the underwear bandit wrestled it from Pauly to whack him. Why Pauly had a hammer to protect himself versus the 85 security guards the most likely have remains a mystery.

2. A “well being check” is SF parlance for big emergency, huge problem, it is their highest level of call because you can’t say crime in progress, that is racist.

Questions remain: How did a guy in his undies get past all the flipping security? Also, he did not break the glass with a hammer if he didn’t have the hammer to start, so this report makes no sense.

Has Nancy flown home in a panicked rush? Because if not, this story will be gone by tomorrow and Pauly will have his own nanny to stop him from being less than discrete with his foibles.

"The memoir will delve into Page's relationship with his body, his experiences as one of the most famous trans people in the world, and will cover mental health, assault, love, relationships, sex, and the cesspool that Hollywood can be."

392 rom Arizona Alliance for Retired Americans v. Clean Elections USA, decided today by Judge Michael T. Liburdi (D. Ariz.):

The evidence in the record shows that Defendants' objective is deterring supposed illegal voting and illegal ballot harvesting. Ms. Jennings' social media posts demonstrate that she believes the presence of her volunteers alone would convey messages to these supposed "ballot mules." The message is that persons who attempt to break Arizona's anti-ballot harvesting law will be exposed. On this record, therefore, the Court finds that a reasonable observer could interpret the conduct as conveying some sort of message, regardless of whether the message has any objective merit.

On YouTube I recently stumbled across shows of the British "Ready Steady Go!" live series from the early Sixties. If you want to see very early, live performances of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and every other top British group and solo performer from 1963-1966, do a search for that show on YouTube. It was done in a small studio so it's always a crazy scene. Most of the songs were lip-synced but it's still fun watching The Beatles clowning-around between songs and Jagger and Richards looking like they are too young to shave.

Paul Pelosi called the cops. He told the cops there was an unknown male in the house and he's going to wait for his wife. Also his name is David and he's a friend.

So the sequence of events now is a guy breaks into the back door with a hammer after 2am. Pelosi, being a dumbass, goes to investigate. He talks to the intruder. He is able to call the cops and communicate some information, including that he's a friend or friendly? He then reengages the intruder before the cops come. At some point both have the hammer or each has a hammer. The cops get there, and the intruder hits Paul.

This is based on the radio communication between police dispatch and responding cops. From what I understand, a police radio enthusiast recording system captured the chatter.

444 What needs to come out of this thread?

A tailor made Hadrian thumb-drive, of let's say THE FIFTY most essential classical pieces a Moron or 'Ette ought to know.

Not a multi-hundred or thousand track job, but the Reader's Digest version, providing a solid grounding in a baseline of Musical Civilization at it's pre-amplification finest. Even better if there were a short paragraph or two for each track. The artist, the story about the work itself, and some bits of where it's showed up in the post-classical world. (lotta Looney Tunes, in there, natch?)

But yeah. Classical Appreciation 101 for Teh Horde. Here's my $10. Now, shaddup n' take my money!

Johann Sebastian had a Bach ache.

Joseph was Haydn.

463 To be fair, rap music was good and fun in it's infancy in the late 70's to the mid-80's.

Once it got to the 90's it became angry and regressive.

Now it's just them literally babbling the same hook over an Atlanta Trap Beat for three solid minutes.

But it is Not. Music.

It can be made into music, of course. Witness the Nina Gordon cover of "Straight Outta Compton". A must-hear, if you haven't:
