It was pretty much raining from the second inning on (a steady misting drizzle that was probably impossible to see on TV). Umpires who stink, are like the weather. They effect both sides. My mailman has completely shit the bed.
My Criterion order was supposed to arrive Friday. Come about 8:30, I get the notification that it was undeliverable because of a bad address. We also got another package delivered, but no other mail that we were supposed to.
Saturday, it's supposed to come, and come about 7:45 I get the notification that my package was undeliverable because the business was closed (my house is a business? I guess that address excuse was bullshit). Also, no actual mail at all. Even have a conversation with some neighbors about how they haven't received anything either. They also saw him sitting at the end of the development with his light on, sorting mail and marking things. He was 30 feet from my house and simply decided to not deliver.
Today? We get all of the missing mail...except my Criterion box. The latest notification is still from last night saying that it would be delivered "next business day", which is today. Nothing about it being out for delivery.
This is getting irritating.

If you're a single man, it's self-preservation. Years ago, I was looking for an apartment in SoCal and found these folks who had a guest house they were renting in the back part of the property. Nice place, and relatively cheap. MUCH better than any apartment.
Until I found out that they had 3 elementary school age kids who spent a lot of time in the backyard. There was no way I was going to put myself in that situation, so I passed.

I agree. Over time I find all kids annoying and would not want to, say, be a school teacher or run a day care center. I'd put up with it for my own kids but not someone else's.
But in the short term, kids are usually funny and cute and I get along well with the ones I've known (like nieces and nephews or a girlfriend's son and daughter). I think this need to not even give the slightest hint you might not hate kids is a bit over the top. Kids are often hilarious to watch, like panda bears. You shouldn't need to avert your eyes like its the princess and you'll get beheaded for looking at her.

I'm currently waiting for a large USPS package from a customer, repair work that they want me to do. Went to the distro center last week to pick it up and they couldn't find it. Still hearing crickets, and my guess is that it'll never be delivered.

They pulled that $hit with me on a package they didn't want to deliver. It was a rolling cooler and I went to the post office to complain and they said it was because of covid. I asked to see the manager and he said it was because there was a "2 man lift" sticker on the package and the driver was by himself three days in a row and just coded it "driveway was blocked" by mistake.
I said I will pick it up right now, pulled up to the ramp and two guys brought it out on a dolly. With my broken down 65 year old body I picked it up by myself and put it in my truck and drove off. Pussies.

Ours has been good since we moved until a couple of months ago. They either changed delivery person or changed the routes. Instead of getting mail consistently at about 11:30 every day, including everything, it's not sometime between 3 and 9, and if it gets late, we're probably not getting it that day.

Hallie Deegan ran in the Xfinity race in Vegas this past Saturday. Finished in the top 20 (15th I think.) As the only female in the sport running full time she gets a lot of attention, but IMO has minimal talent. She "could" get better with time. Much the same was thought of Danica.
