Nothing terrible, Nurse! He's boarding at Miss Linda's. He's not been snipped yet, so we thought it wiser to separate him from the girl kitten until he is and has recovered. This one, "Dagny Sophia," is a Siberian brown tabby w/ a little white, almost the same age as Stirling but smaller. She was under the weather this weekend, and I was thinking, "Oh, God, she's sickly." But last night she began to eat and to play like a real kitten. It'll be verrrry interesting to see how they interact.

The vet visit today I think will be more of a wellness check than anything, though they may give her some antibiotics.

I know a guy that was taking edibles. Now, he doesn't have the pressures of drug tests or anything, but did say that he was able to get off of a lot of his medicines, including anxiety meds. He doesn't do the edibles much anymore and seems to be doing quite well.

Got a simple feeder, red glass. Started seeing single birds stop by in the morning and the evening. Occasionally two at once, but they would battle. They nest in pine trees. Put the feeder right on your deck, near where you sit. If you sit still they'll come check it out even if you are sitting right there.

Apparently the great constitutional scholar hasn't figured out that that was the point. Otherwise you wind up with 500 page constitutions like the Ewww's that attempt to micromanage everything.

327 For anxiety and depression.

Reglr exercise, on a set schedule. Scheduled sleep and wake times which are kept. Daily prayers, set schedule. Church, and extra devotion time. In the end, I learned the hard way that no matter my skill level, intelligence, resources or dedication, I could not do life on my own. I turn my problems/life over to God, with whom all things are possible. I experienced and continue to experience miraculous assistance. Its not always "easy" but things work out for the best, even when I think that isn't the case, it really turns out to be. Frankly, kind of upset with myself that I didn't start down that road much earlier. Not sure what I was thinking.

360 Not everyone knows a guy, so starting is harder in an environment of prohibition than just walking into the ABC of Weed and buying a joint.

It doesn't stop things, but it does seem to limit it.

In much the same way that the Lock Picking Lawyer says most locks are really just to keep honest people honest.

I stopped buying that shit when they went political, so.....

You don't tell me your all 2nd amendment then ship money to the Biden campaign, then calling me an asshole for pointing it out.

Reminds me of a movie where in the end, it was a minister that was controlling the religious side of things and also the illegal ventures; he wanted money both ways.

Posted by: CharlieBrown'sDildo at September 07, 2022 10:56 AM (XIJ/X)

Hmmm, it is an interesting argument. I come down somewhere. I am not sure.

1) There was a great outcry for some sort of regulation back when due to societal issues with rampant drug use (opium dens, etc.) Reefer Madness was hyperbole, but the ideas or perceived harms that inspired it came from somewhere.

2) Drug enforcement has created a gigantic federal bureaucracy which has been subverted into being for it's own existence- just as ALL bureaucracies are.

How to square that circle? Fuck if I know.

It's hard to find any movie about ministers/priests since "Going My Way" with Bing Crosby where the minister is not a charlatan, a con artist, having an affair or molesting kids.

374 286 Apparently the great constitutional scholar hasn't figured out that that was the point. Otherwise you wind up with 500 page constitutions like the Ewww's that attempt to micromanage everything.

but without those 500 pages, how can we be assured that the yellow thing on the table in front of us is, in fact, a banana?
