NeverTrumper Biden Booster Baseball Cvck: Gee, This Biden Turns Out to be a Real Authoritarian Tyrant, Kind of Like What We Kept Claiming Trump Was

We told them fifty million times: There is no restraint on Biden (or Hillary before him), as the media and all the bureaucracy of government is behind him.

Trump, on the other hand, is shackled by restraints everywhere. He's almost nothing but restraints. Even if he wanted to be this "authoritarian" you're constantly babbling about, he couldn't be.

On the other hand, Biden -- and Hillary before him -- can be authoritarians. An, as Obama showed, the left is increasingly eager to resort to tyrannical rule as they are frustrated by democracy blocking their dreams of a socialist utopia.

Nonsense, NeverTrump answered. Biden is an Honorable Man with Good Character, and a Moderate Centrist who will Repair Our Frayed Norms. He would never do that.

(They also thought that Hillary Clinton was a Moderate Centrist who would not trespass beyond constitutional or legal norms as well!)

Well, here we are.

Dan McLaughlin
@baseballcrank

We now have a president with no regard for the rule of law or its restraints on his arbitrary power to issue fiats, backed by an entire party & commentariat that views "Whatabout Trump" as an all-purpose get-out-of-law-free card.

Dave Reaboi isn't letting this filthy stupid weakling off easy.

David Reaboi, Late Republic Nonsense
@davereaboi

We told you. But revulsion of Trump's aesthetics mattered more.

Baseball Cvck blames his Biden's donning of the Tyrant's Mantle on... Trump!

Of course. Of course.

After Baseball Cvck himself just said that every tyrannical move by Biden is defended by saying "WhataboutTrump" as the all-purpose get-out-of-jail-free card!

Dan McLaughlin
@baseballcrank

Trump absolutely bears responsibility for how we got here, just as Democrats bear responsibility for his election denial - that's how slippery slopes work - and pretending otherwise does no good. Also, c'mon, no adult thinks aesthetics was Trump's only vice.

David Reaboi, Late Republic Nonsense
@davereaboi

Trump was always a lagging indicator, a reaction to voters' exasperation over the radicalism of the Left and the refusal of the GOP to deal with key issues. No politician is perfect--and he didn't deal with the insane left with as much ruthlessness as it required.

Dan McLaughlin
@baseballcrank

"Due to the other side's misconduct, we shouldn't care what's true or what's legal" is how we got in this mess, & more of it won't get us out

What did Trump do that was illegal?

Election denial?

Dave points out that Hillary Clinton put the entire CIA and NSA and FBI to work for six years in the business of Election Denial, attempting to prove her conspiracy theory that Trump was installed by the Russians.

David Reaboi, Late Republic Nonsense
@davereaboi

Also: I stopped caring about "election denial" in 2017-2020, when everyone wasn’t just allowed to do it, but was cost of entry into mainstream spaces.

There is only 1 thing I will not bend on--if there are rules for us, there must be rules for them.

They manufactured a lie about "Russian interference in the election," caused insane investigations and got 1/2 the country to believe their president is literally an enemy foreign agent.

This is far worse for the social cohesion required for "democracy" than anything on J6.

They did this without regard for what kind of *irreparable* harm it would do to social cohesion--and, even worse, many of your past and current colleagues at NRO and in the GOP were completely taken because they despised Trump so much.

And then jump-cut to the same people J6 and hand-wringing and pearl-clutching about Trump's talk about "stolen elections."

We don't care now. Not even a little.

The NeverTrumpers never accept that Hillary Clinton's refusal to admit that she lost, fair and square -- and her subsequent enlistment of the entirety of the leadership of the government intelligence services and law enforcement in what is in fact an attempt at an illegal coup -- is itself "election denial" and something far worse, with far greater constitutional consequences, than anything Trump did.

Did Trump enlist the CIA and FBI into his "insurrection"?

NeverTrump never admits any of this.

And why?

Well, for a simple reason: Because NeverTrump is and remains Russiagate Truthers. They remain committed to the idea that somehow, in some foggy way they can't quite explain, Russiagate is still TRUE.

They are as fanatical on this point as Rachel Maddow.

Dan McLaughlin
@baseballcrank

Spoiler: Caesar did not, in fact, save the Republic by crossing the Rubicon.

We're not talking about that, asshole -- we're talking about you finally admitting that the Democrats you supported in fact are more guilty of crimes against the constitution than the man you claimed was so authoritarian in impulse that you were compelled to support the morally and ethically spotless Hillary Clinton and the "moderate and centrist" Joe Biden, who was in fact further to the left of Barack Hussein Obama.

Auron MacIntyre
@AuronMacintyre

Conservatives can't acknowledge the political reality around them because it would require them to admit that they failed to conserve the republic.

Indeed.

Hillary Clinton, recently: "You can even have the election stolen from you."

She also said that Trump won't admit that Hillary beat him, "because he knows he didn't win, he knows he's an illegitimate president."

NeverTrump has fuck-all to say about this.

In fact, they cheerleaded for their gal making these outrageous election denialist claims for six years.

And Acosta, 2017: "Why won't you admit the Russians meddled in the election?"

Meanwhile, the "Dainties" -- the prissies who judge everything based on whether or not it offends their very delicate class sensibilities as upwardly mobile suburban liberals -- are now in the grips of full DeSantis Derangement Syndrome, and are making him the New and Worse Trump.

Because he called Anthony Fauci an elf!

That offends their exquisitely fine sense of decorum and faux-aristocratic upbringing!

Two interesting points about this Fake Upper-Crust Sensibility thing:

First, it's fake. This is a competition among weak and inferior men to prove themselves strong and superior. They can't prove themselves strong and superior in actual strength or superiority, so they change the criteria to better fit them, that is, a more feminine sort of competition they could actually beat other men at. Namely, "refinement," taste, and a capacity to be offended and terrified by tiny things like humorous jibes and mice skittering across the kitchen floor.

There are actual objective criteria to determine who is the strongest, the smartest, etc., but it's up for grabs to say who has "the finest taste." So Noah Blum can compete in the Princess and the Pea Olympics and have a very good chance of winning, especially because most actual men would not compete in such a delicate contest.

Second, this is again just a game of showing hatred for the dreaded Lower Orders. David French and Noah Blum and the rest of the Fake Aristo Swells are always straining to discover exciting new Class Distinctions they can adorn themselves with to prove they are not like the raucous and unseemly Working Classes. A feather of delicate sensibilities worn behind the ear, a ribbon of refined taste in Marvel Movie Appreciation dangled over the heart.

Anything to show that the New Nobility is different than and superior to those thick-fingered White N*****s that vote for Trump and think that a nation's borders should be enforced.

Fuck off, fairies. Go knit a doily for your wife's boyfriend to put his drink on.

Oh, and French: Have the lambs stopped screaming, French?

Update: Great point by mallfly.

remember when Biden said that if they were in high school, he'd take Trump out behind the Bleachers and beat the crap out of him? I imagine the likes of French thought that made Biden sound presidential

Ya'know, I was dead tired of hearing this the first time I heard it.

BaseballCuck is plenty old enough to have heard about and know about Biden.

The guy's been around forever. And the only time you ever heard about him for fucking decades is when he did something stupid or sleazy or gross or corrupt or in poor taste or when bullying someone, or acting as a bought and paid for hack ponce lapdog of the credit card companies, or plagiarizing some Limey commie.

He was never ever someone that you heard good things about. Biden was like some kind of affable retard from the neighborhood that Mafia guys keep around to fetch stuff, and to trip so he falls on his face and makes them laugh.

Anyone who has anything good to say about Biden is too stupid to be trusted on anything important.

No matter how many lies are exposed, they will always find another lie to hide behind to protect their delicate, fragile, weak egos from one fact: They were wrong about Trump.

It isn't about two wrongs not making a right, rather, it's about making the left adhere to rules which are clearly laid out, rather than allowing the left to get away with changing the rules to suit them as they go along.

For too long, the GOPe has rolled over and turned a blind eye to outright lawlessness of the left.

The mechanisms to enforce the rules exist, but, the GOPe has been too feckless and spineless to enforce those rules.

Ironically, as I pointed out, that era of one party government is called the era of Good Feelings. You basically had King Caucus where the party caucuses nominated the next president as in a parliamentary system. Marty Van Buren though created the party machinery in the US to extend the party to the people during 1825-1828 for Jackson to win a rematch in 1828. Marty made agreements with the majority party faction in each state that was in power to support Jackson over Adams in return for control of state patronage of spending and federal appointments. The losers of the interparty battle created the Whigs as a response but it took over two terms of Jackson to become a serious contender.

And they complained about him for this, too, after March 2020. His response to COVID was not nearly authoritarian enough for them.

We've discussed this numerous times in our quarterly reviews and annual goal-setting exercises, but we agree that we should continue with the existing nomenclature. The names and language associated with Human Resources are familiar to those we serve in the employee population and the name is adequate to explain the role of the organization. We have the ability to leverage our core competencies within the business to ensure continued promotion of diversity and inclusion despite potential concerns with departmental naming conventions.

Moreover, the furry, otherkin and associated identities are essentially tied to fluidity. In all cases that we have assessed so far, our employees who identify as furry, otherkin or associated identities identify as such outside of the work environment. In the work environment, their identity fluidity is responsible for their self-identification as human. If we encounter otherwise, we will address it going forward.

There's going to be a huge media narrative that the GOP base has moved on from Trump. Polls will be touted endlessly about Trump losing support (they'll be polls where he's ahead by "only" 35 points of the next challenger), and he'll always be on the verge of losing everything.

The media will push every single anti-Trump candidate as the Trump-killer. They will rise and fall quickly until IA where Trump will win the caucus with ease and NH where he'll win by 50 points at least. Then, the media will give up on making it a thing, only then to realize that Biden is still running for president, and he can't get more than a weak plurality in any contest.

Marty was long winded and arguably a political and organizing genius for instituting the people's party but he was not a great administrator and got the fallout from the economic depression caused by Jackson's termination of the 2nd Bank of the US.

Fun fact: the early death of Van Buren's wife is probably a big reason why he became President. Since he was already a widower at the time of the Peggy Eaton affair, he didn't have to snub her to please his wife, so Jackson saw him as a closer ally than Calhoun and the other cabinet members and the most deserving to be heir apparent.

Not that, exactly; Pompey's power base was in the east, and he believed Rome was strategically indefensible anyway under the circumstances. The plan almost worked, too, as it kind of left Caesar holding the bag and widely painted as having committed a coup; but he was just that good a general he could destroy Pompey's army in battle anyway, next time they met.

And remember, as a relatively poor man, Adams lived in a culture of honor and his honor was his treasure so he was thin skinned about any intimations that he acted dishonorably.

Bloodlines trend towards common ancestry or ceasing to exist. They decided Trump's character required them to support democrats. But, they had a problem. How do you argue to support someone pushing the exact opposite of ALL of the policies you previously claimed to support as a "principled conservative".

Easy, you pretend your policy positions haven't changed and your support of abortion was always the "principled conservative" position.

The fact that the NeverTrumpers still claim to be "conservative" demonstrates just how little honor they have, which in turn belies their claim that character matters more than policy. they have proven themselves to be people of low character and have abandoned all previously held policy positions.

What do they have left? Does McGlaughlin really believe anyone respects him or considers him honorable? It would take huge amounts of delusion for him to believe himself anything but dishonorable at this point.

McCulloch was a fan of Adams and his integrity and Adam's term as president was where Adams paid the price of his integrity. He refused to get into a politically popular war with France (the XYZ affair) and refused to tar the Democrats and Jefferson with their pro French Revolution nonsense. Adams also suffered from a hangover due to comparisons with Washington. Jefferson was afraid to go after Washington too much overtly but had no problem sicking his attack dogs on Adams to get power. Jefferson is probably the most overrated of the Founders and had some truly idiotic ideas about government. He was sneaky and underhanded using his minions to attack while Jefferson posed above the fray. Lewis and Clark plus the LA purchase were the major highlights of his administration.

Not just no, but no on two levels - one, the left has complete ownership of starting this crap. Two - they don't even actually believe this anyways, because the progressivism is built around denying that facts exist in the first fucking place. There is no "precedent", no need for justification: what is morally correct is pegged entirely to whatever they happen to want right now, because they claim an all encompassing, calvinball-enabling moral superiority.

They don't take a position because it is good; the position is good *because* they are the ones taking it, and all opposition is categorically evil.

You cannot engage these people. If you're feeling nice, you leave; if you can't leave, you eject them; if you can't eject them, you bury them. Or don't bury them, but that would start to become a sanitation problem.

First World republics other than the US seem to have honest elections the citizens trust to be on the up-and-up. (At this instant in time.) A number of those countries tried vote-by-mail within the past 20 or 30 years but later abandoned it due to the possibilities for fraud.

Correct. It's a fairly clever play but it's obvious. It still puts DeSantis in a bad corner. Does he have the ability to bob and weave out of it before he gets defined for the low fo's? I don't know. Perkins Cooie. Mark Elias was running the scam and the FBI has a SCIF conveniently located inside of Perkins Cooie offices. Now put that plus the demonstrated improper use of FISA and unmasking using Susan Rice's authority with the DNC's favorite law firm.

Essentially, the law firm is the coordination of illegal acts by the Dems and that is to hide behind lawyer client privilege which will always stand up in the DC courts.

You probably will not be saying that for very long if and when a civil war actually starts. Read AH Lloyd's book on the Spanish Civil War or any book on the breakup of Yugoslavia etc.

It might happen regardless of my wishes but I certainly do not welcome it because the outcome of most of these is not what people going into a civil war expect. A lot of blood and treasure lost and a dictator at the end of the road is the usual consequence. Or you can end up like Lebanon or Northern Ireland with informal partitions with killings and fighting going on for decades.

497 When Caesar crossed the Rubicon the republic had already been lost. It was lost by the Senate's grossly unfair treatment of Caesar that forced Caesar to cross the Rubicon in the first place. Caesar had to break norms to preserve his position, either that or accept arrest banishment or death and the destruction of his family. There was no putting the genie back in the bottle at that point. Brutus and company could get all stabby, but nothing they could do could bring the Republic back. Once you get in the tit-for-tat phase, the Republic is lost regardless of your efforts to preserve it. I'm gonna say the Russia hoax was the beginning of the tit-for-tat phase. Oh well, we had a good run. All Hail Augustus!

498 I think DeSantis probably would have been better served to not make this crack, but doing what feels right at his gut has served him pretty well so far, and you gotta figure once in a while its going to be a swing and a miss.

My problem isn't the crass or crude nature of it. Yes, its schoolyard stuff, it sounds goofy, but that's where we are now as a culture. I expect some politician to pull the ligma joke some time on camera.

My problem is that its out of the blue. OK you don't like Fauci, but you're the governor of Florida, not president or anything in authority over the guy. He's not your problem. It like suddenly spouting how much you hate beets in the middle of a speech.

And it doesn't serve any purpose other than primal grunting; no goal has been achieved, no effort moved toward the finish line. Its just a blurted annoyance.

I mean, it wont do him any harm, and I suppose it might alert people to how fauci isn't as beloved as the elft thinks he is but still. Kinda pointless.

Besides messing with their grift, I think the real problem these dopes have with Pres. Trump is that he is "Man of Action" while they are "Men of Words." As Eric Hoffer tells us in True Believers, the Man of Action will always sweep away the Men of Words.

Their hatred of Pres. Trump is really because he revealed their impotence to the world. What they say is merely rationalization or obfuscation.
