Fox News: She's a "Particularly Divisive" Member of Congress So, You Know, She Was Pretty Much Asking For It, Right?

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., says he was "swatted" at her home at 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
Greene made the announcement on Twitter and thanked law enforcement for handling the situation professionally. The term "swatting" refers to the illegal practice of making false police reports in an attempt to get law enforcement to raid the home of an innocent person.
"Last night, I was swatted just after 1 a.m.," Greene wrote on Wednesday morning. "I can't express enough gratitude to my local law enforcement here in Rome, Floyd County."

Fair enough.

And now it's time to suggest that maybe this victim should be blamed.

Greene is a particularly divisive member of the Republican Party and has had to apologize multiple times for making outlandish claims.

Oh.

Maybe they inserted that to distract from this:

The caller then made a second, voice-masked call to the police department, stating that they made the false report in reaction to Greene's stance on the transgender movement, according to the outlet.

Can't have a trans extremist taking the blame for something a trans extremist did. At least, not without spreading the blame around.

Are trans extremists also particularly divisive, or nah?

Tell me, if a reporter got sucker punched on the street, hypothetically, would the media note all the bias in the reporter's "journalism" to point out why he might have deserved the beat-down?

I wouldn't listen to anyone who is a proponent of ACAB. There are good cops and bad cops. And the citizenry in any area sets the tenor of their local cops (IMO).

The problem is the FBI and DoJ and other such national government arms are way too far from the citizenry to be controlled by them. Those need to be eliminated and rebuilt with much stronger limitations on them.

Fair enough. I, quite literally, started putting it all together around Ruby Ridge - and I was just in college then. By the time of the Patriot Act ? Well, I can't count who I've pissed off more - Republicans or Democrats.

But Hell, I've never seen the country as it was through these glowing, Normal Rockwell type, Peggy Noonan glasses that folks like IronGrampa describe. Rockwell never painted anything from the trailer park or the projects. I don't think that's by accident.

I'm not saying they did this perfectly or all cops are great. It just sound like this time they thought they were responding to a shooting, possible homicide, with kids in the house.

We can't complain cops are slow to respond and then hack them when they respond professionally and promptly to what sounds like a very serious situation. Greene was very complimentary of their behavior and if anyone was a victim here it was her.

I don't know how much swatting goes on in Rome, Georgia but I still put the blame on this situation on the dirtbag who made the calls, he put both MTG and the cops in danger. That's the kind of thing that makes even good cops twitchy.

Have you guys thought through the consequences of even the most righteous DGU, a snow white citizen shooting a black thug in a blue city? First you have to come up with the affirmative defense to beat the crim charges. Then you get sued by the ghetto lottery. If you don't end up in mouth-rape jail, the thug's posse comes around to your house for a personal visit.

Six years ago, when I started conceal carry, our politics were more friendly to self-defenders. Not any longer. Hell, I remember plenty of people around here a couple years ago condemning the guy who shot that thug who blindsided him to the ground, for the 'offense' of talking to his wife in a parking lot. In that guy's situation, I would have definitely drawn my pistol just like he did, to the loud disapproval of you all. It was a good DGU. He got 40 years in prison.
