The Morning Report — 7/29/22

holdmycenter.jpg

Good morning, kids. The weekend is here and yesterday's lead was typical DC whore Joe Manchin completely selling out on a cheaper, i.e politically more palatable (at least he thinks), Build Bolshevism Bigger bill that wastes only a measly $1 trillion instead of the original $5 trillion of money that we don't have on top of the trillions in national debt plus stagflation that has put us in a recession. Whoops! My bad. The junta insists we're not in a recession and I agree. We're plunging headlong not only into a Depression but one so horrendous it will bring about societal collapse. As intended.

That said, this bill isn't just about money. In fact, the money and the pretext of this sham legislation is just that. A sham. BBB has always been the means to complete the absolute transformation of America into a socialist/communist state.

Notwithstanding the public’s consistent and overwhelming lack of concern about climate change as an urgent problem, the main concern of the Biden [junta] and the entire agenda of the Democrat Party has been, and continues to be, driven by this issue. In the words of [so-called quote-unquote "president"] Joe Biden, “climate change poses an existential threat” – in fact, the chief existential threat to the United States – greater than terrorism, or Chinese expansionism, or the invasion by 2,400,000 unvetted illegal migrants annually across America’s broken southern border. . .

. . . Yet, despite the lack of public support, and the immediate destructive consequences of the anti-climate change policies, the radical leadership of the Democrat policy is adamant in pursuing them. According to Bernie Sanders, a lifetime supporter of communist dictators and bankrupt socialist regimes, “the climate crisis is not only the single greatest challenge facing our country,” but “is also our single greatest opportunity to build a more just and equitable future,” by which he means a bankrupt, socialist dictatorship.

How is it possible that there should be such a disconnect between a democratic government and its constituents? How was such a radical consensus formed over such a controversial and contested issue – a consensus so strong and so anti-democratic that by 2022 it had resulted in the lowest approval ratings ever recorded for a sitting president and his political party? The answer can be found in the vast network of tax-exempt foundations and advocacy groups, unscrutinized and accountable to no one, that developed the analyses and policy recommendations that make up the “Green New Deal” in the decades prior to its official launch in 2019. . .

. . . In a July 2019 interview with The Washington Post, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s chief-of-staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, acknowledged that the Green New Deal had not been devised to protect the environment, but rather, to inject discredited socialist “solutions” into the American economy. “The interesting thing about the Green New Deal,” he said with great candor, “is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all. Do you guys [reporters] think of it as a climate thing? Because we really think of it as a ‘how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy’ thing.” We don’t say this, but rather conceal it, because if we did we would have to explain why the epic failures of socialist regimes in our lifetimes should not be a red flag against repeating them.

So, there it is, and it was out in the open for all to see. Including Joe Manchin. He might come across as Joe Rockhead but you don't get to join the Congressional crime family and make multi-millions of dollars without being fully vetted by those pulling the strings. And if it means destroying the lifeblood of the state and constituents that elected you, then so be it. There's no more pretext, no more regular order or illusion of regular order that must be maintained, especially in the wake of everything that has happened since the coming of the psy-op that was the General Tso's Sickness unleashed on us by the Chi-Coms and glommed onto by the State. No longer a Deep State, since their theft of the 2020 election.

And that brings us to the question of Donald Trump, 2024, elections and where we are headed. Whatever one thinks about Trump vis a vis whether he should be the candidate, we have to think in terms of what he himself said as a mantra, regardless of who is the candidate:

"In reality, they're not after me, they're after you. I'm just in their way."

Substitute the word "America" for "you" and "You're" for "I'm" and you'll see what I mean. Michael Anton has written a truly frightening essay that games out the possibilities for shenanigans in '24 and the absolutely chilling prospects for what happens if they get away with another steal or perhaps worse if they don't. Hat tip to commenter MTF for the link:

The people who really run the United States of America have made it clear that they can’t, and won’t, if they can help it, allow Donald Trump to be president again. In fact, they made this clear in 2020, in a series of public statements. Simply for quoting their words in an essay for The American Mind, I was mercilessly mocked and attacked. But they were quite clear. Trump won’t be president at noon, Jan. 20, 2021, even if we have to use the military to drag him out of there.

If the regime felt that strongly back then, imagine how they feel now. But you don’t have to imagine. They tell you every day. Liz Cheney, Trump’s personal Javert, has said that the 45th president is literally the greatest threat facing America today—greater than China, than our crashing economy, than our unraveling civil society. . .

. . . Anti-Trump hysteria is in the final analysis not about Trump. The regime can’t allow Trump to be president not because of who he is (although that grates), but because of who his followers are. That class—Angelo Codevilla’s “country class”—must not be allowed representation by candidates who might implement their preferences, which also, and above all, must not be allowed. The rubes have no legitimate standing to affect the outcome of any political process, because of who they are, but mostly because of what they want. . .

. . . while Trump's core MAGA agenda is decidedly not outside the historic bipartisan mainstream, it is well outside the present regime's core interests. Our rulers' wealth and power rise with open borders, trade giveaways, and endless war. Trump, at least in principle, and often in practice, threatens all three.

It's here that Anton games out several scenarios of what happens if Trump weathers the storm and survives the obvious attempt to take him out via the January 6 Kangaroo Court, then becomes the candidate and wins, or loses. And remember, this applies to any MAGA candidate with full force.

So the choice before them is: Do what(ever) they did last time—and more so, if necessary—and risk an even bigger reaction, or take their chances that they can win a fair fight. (The latter assumes that they have complete control of their minions who run elections at the local level.) But to repeat a point: Perhaps they consider the reaction a feature, not a bug?

Which leaves Plan F, which they have already sketched in broad outlines. I don’t know exactly what form it will take, but they have made clear that “under no circumstance” can Trump be allowed to take office again. Among the “circumstances” covered by the word “no” would seem to be an Electoral College majority, or a tie followed by a House vote in Trump’s favor.

What happens then? Well, in the words of the “Transition Integrity Project,” a Soros-network-linked collection of regime hacks who in 2020 gamed out their strategy for preventing a Trump second term, the contest would become “a street fight, not a legal battle.” Again, their words, not mine. But allow me to translate: The 2020 summer riots, but orders of magnitude larger, not to be called off until their people are secure in the White House.

I believe that the arguments about whether he should run or not, while certainly worthy of engaging in, are in the end a distraction. To do so is to accept the illusion that America still stands and that regular order still exists. From lockdowns, to sanctioned street thuggery, to rigged elections and a rigged justice system where we still have innocent Americans locked up as political prisoners, it's anything but regular order.

As I replied to a commenter a week or so ago:

The weight of history and what is in front of us means change is coming. Electoral politics as a function of normal order does not necessarily register as a factor of that change but for sure of the mood of the electorate. We are in an interregnum, poised over an abyss as dark or darker than the one Churchill warned about on the eve of the Battle of Britain. God be with us.

Have a good weekend.

11 "Unrecognized by most, this war has been going on during the last century in different forms and from different actors..."

Understatement of the century. "Unrecognized by most."

Naming the disease is the priority. Name it, call it out, force it into the conversation with relentless, undeviating commitment. This is the primary, essential work of a leader. This is above all a linguistic, rhetorical war. It must be, even if it becomes physical: it must be driven by a linguistically moral energy. We haven't found the leader yet who can wage this war.

19 Every day a significant number of Americans are waking up to the fraud that is the deep state, and that our self-proclaimed elites are idiots operating far outside whatever limited competency they may have. The problem is the bridge from where we are to a country based on freedom, rights, and responsibilities is on fire.

We are supposed to be outraged and be stirred to activity but the clown who composed that article was either to cowardly to reveal the ID of "Grace Church" (which every town in America has), or the event never took place and its all lies and propaganda.

21 I read Anton's piece yesterday and summarized it for a friend.

"Anton does not seem to believe that plans A-E have any remote chance ... I think he's probably right. Plan-F appears feasible still."

There are a number of optimists out there, including Bannon, and as long as they enjoy continued success Trump will win in 2024 and Plan F will begin. Plan F is a hot civil war ... a continuation of the summer of 2020 but with less restraint.

I listened to Project Veritas latest update on their defamation suit against the NY Times. The Times' response to the judge's dismissal of their appeal to dismiss was laughable yet scary. It was basically a legalistic phrasing worthy of Orwell's Squealer in "Animal Farm."

27 WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department on Thursday offered a reward of up to $10 million for information about Russian interference in American elections, including a close associate of Russian President Vladimir Putin and a troll farm that officials say fueled a divisive social media campaign in 2016.

The reward, offered by the department’s Rewards for Justice program, seeks information about the Internet Research Agency, Yevgeniy Prigozhin — a wealthy businessman whose ties to Putin earned him the nickname “Putin Chef” — and other entities involved in interfering in the 2016 U.S. election won by Republican Donald Trump.

Prigozhin and 12 other Russians were indicted along with the IRA in 2018 as part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into whether Russia had coordinated with the Trump campaign to sway the election. The defendants were accused of a huge but hidden social media trolling campaign aimed at sowing discord on hot-button issues and at helping Trump defeat Democrat Hillary Clinton. Officials say Prigozhin provided funding for the IRA through companies he controlled.

No majority gets to choose their dictators.

The Executive has been transformed into a de facto totalitarian dictatorship or at least an enabling mechanism for the various segments of the Regulatory Branch to administrate, and no one can vote for the warlords who rule from their director's positions.

No one can unseat Fauci, or Wray, or that weasel in the IRS that persecuted Tea Party related organizations. They are like the wicked and depraved "judges" that receive life-long appointments who spread misery during their tenures.

Glycols have 2 or more OH groups. Ethylene glycol is Ch2OH-CH2OH, and is converted to oxalic acid, a cell poison. Propylene glycol CH3-CHOH-CH2OH gets converted to vinegar as well so is safe.

107 Morning, 'rons and 'ronettes.

I read that Anton article earlier this morning.

The scenario I see as most likely, should Teh Donald run again, is a massive, overwhelming cheat by the Dems, for two reasons:

- firstly, to rub our noses in the fact that our 'votes' and 'elections' no longer matter. Whomever the Dems / Deep State / MFM wants in the Oval Office will be installed and you deplorables can suck horse cock.

- secondly, to test the water. After the steal is successful, what then? Sullen acceptance or open revolt? Either one will serve the Dems' purpose. Sullen acceptance means Americans' wills have finally been broken and the final transformation to bug-eating, feces-swilling slaves can begin. Open revolt means sending out the troops, throwing away ROE and ordering them to go weapons-free on any suspected Trumper.

We'll see, but I think that is what will happen.

I had a large glass jug set my deck on fire in FL.

It is possible.

As far as being responsible for the fire in TX, I agree, we don't know enough. I'm sure whoever came up with the "cause", it's been somewhat vetted because it is kind of "out there".

This does happen in places like Yuma and 29 Palms. The good news it happens in deserts that have very little shit to burn. Usually clear glass (Miller High Life and MD 2020 bottles) in a desert darkens to brown overtime and this prevents ignition. Don't drink Miller and MD 2020 to save the deserts.

144 notice how easy it is to accept a totally ridiculous statement like this, because it has the word "officials" in front of it. All this means is that the fire, as far as they can tell, started spontaneously and they have no idea how. But they can't bear to say "we don't know" so they make up a stupid story like this to pretend that they do.

I don't care if they use the word "official" or "In a vision from the Almighty God", the Gell-Mann Amnesia rules always apply. I can't trust that the fire spontaneously started or even if a garbage can was even involved.

I'm just here for the snark.

I believe we are diving into a political singularity, if you'll pardon the phrase. A point in time where suddenly, none of what has happened before is a guide, a place where things will happen that would always have been unthinkable and impossible before. This is very open ended; it can go in any direction, because there will be no rules.

The people that fight the hardest to seize the future when the time comes will shape it. As far as predicting 2024 - I do not think anyone of us, standing here on the precipice of the future, can foresee what things will look like then, after the chaos of the next 2 years. We are all about to live through the worst two years of our lives, and if you do not realize that yet, you should.

I also am not confident that 'we' (however you define it) will fight back. Oh, some might still want to fight, but knowing human nature, most people will see the carnage, look at their loved ones and decide keeping one's head down is the only way to go.

154 re: Doctors Said the Vaccine Was Safe

I agreed with everything said in this piece up until his conclusion:

Ultimately I believe this scandal will bring down Pfizer and Moderna. They may have all sorts of indemnity against harm caused by their vaccines, and it may take 20 years, but ultimately public outrage will reach such a fever pitch against these drug companies that they will implode.

I think more likely the public outrage will recede into the background. Unlike something like Thalidomide, with a more direct, tangible link to phocomelia (birth defects), the link to multiple different adverse effects from the mRNA vaccines is less immediate and provable, less direct-line. Statistics such as 'excess deaths' do not resonate as much with the public. Besides, Pfizer and Moderna have the full weight of the U.S. Government backing them. They will thrive in the wake of this vaccine.

But my prediction is worth the pixels it's printed with.

This particular point is one that many people - including me - have made for several years. Trump wasn't radical. The government radicalized, but his platform was actually fairly old-fashioned and if you back to the time when we actually had two parties - pre-1990 is probably a decent guess - he is closer to a Democrat.

There would need to be a fierce contingent of political support ready to step into the breach. 207 Presuming we don't have a Romney like waste of flesh as the Republican nominee in 2024 he has to

1) Have a plan to deal with the coming attempt to steal the election. Game out what the left will do and have people ready to counter it. Don't wait to file a lawsuit a week later...

2) Have a plan to deal with a likely real insurrection between election day and being sworn in

3) Have a plan to counter/remove/destroy the permanent bureaucracy and the GOPe

And if Trump doesn't have these he shouldn't run in 2024. Same with DeSantis or anyone else...

Some also ridiculed the idea that only volunteers are put on the buses to DC - but because of that, there are *no* grounds for any Judge anywhere to slap an injunction on it, which there would be if force was involved in any part of the operation.

People who had loved ones die understand it viscerally and a lot of them will want retribution. The scale is also enormous.

These companies are immune from liability. That immunity *should* be stripped because they committed fraud in their trials and fraud voids all contracts - including their immunity. The fraud can be easily demonstrated in court and then the lawsuits that destroy at least 50% of Pfizer's enterprise value and send Moderna to zero would begin.

But that cannot be permitted to happen. Their fraud was executed with the full knowledge and cooperation of the FDA. That has to be defended because they *have* to have been right all along. The only way that the drug companies will be exposed to liability is if the FDA decides to sacrifice them in an act of self-preservation, but I doubt that happens because no matter what, the public health agencies would collapse, too.

A lot of people also seem to forget that we have a huge contingent of retired military (some on this very blog) who also have a wide range of skills and training that make them very, very dangerous when they get pissed. When Marcus Luttrell returned from Afghanistan, a few drunken locals stole his dog or something. He chased them across three counties and managed to corner them by himself until the local authorities caught up. Very John Wick, but Luttrell had enough restraint to just wound them a bit. 272 I don't get the Congressional baseball games. Once upon a time, when baseball was a mainstay of the working classes, it was a useful bit of propaganda, I suppose. "Look, fellow hoo-mons, we're just like you! We're not lizard people at all."

But it's really archaic, now. Baseball has declined so much in popularity over the years, and has become decidedly more oriented toward the White Claw and champagne crowds.

A football game would be more in line with the demo these days, but I guess that's not realistic. Most Congressmen would explode in a mist of dust and lipids if they took a hit, and most of the younger ones would catch Monkeypox in the huddles.

277 If there is "open civil war" I don't see a realistic scenario where the left wins - even if they control the government at the start.

The cities they live in require incredible resources to run, which they can barely do now with no one opposing them.

The lose if they can't keep food, water, and electricity coming in.

To win they would have to defeat fly over land without killing too many people so they can force the survivors to run the infrastructure to keep them fed.

Meanwhile while they have plenty of people full of enough hate to want to go to Jesusland and kill people, the rigor of military life during war is NOT the sort of thing they are prepared for.

With the rest - probably in the neighborhood of $490 million - I would buy a stable of cucks to go agitate for my side for once. It's true among every totalitarian / dictatorship gov't that the troops have families among the population - yet those militaries seem to have no problem enforcing the rule of the gov't against the people. Don't think American troops are much different.

Very rarely will any particular soldier be facing his own home town or family when ordered to do something. It would be a big difference if, say, military units were made up from localities and stationed in those localities - then when the order came to fire on the civilians they would actually be facing their friends and families. But that's not how it works. A solder from Springfield, MA is stationed in Texas, for instance.

I have no faith that the military members will refuse when the orders are given. For example, I used to believe that the rank and file at the FBI would keep the FBI honest- didn't happen.

300 149 I believe we are diving into a political singularity, if you'll pardon the phrase.

303 The truth bomb in the links is that Spectator article that discusses long term political trends in the US.

The author is correct on a many points, such as the bankruptcy of the ruling Democrat govetning philosophy.

You can see many examples of how the uniparty agenda is doomed. In Arizona the largest bloc moving to support MAGA candidates (and NOT GOP) is Hispanic males.

The GOP only happens to house MAGA. But MAGA is its own philosophy that is being embraced everywhere, throughout all demographics.

So they can try to use every dirty trick in the book to stop Trump in 2024. They will fail, and Trump is possibly the Deep State best case scenario. Bringing down Trump will cause them to be steamrolled in an even more violent manner.

Again, that is true in every totalitarian / dictatorship gov't. Yet, again, those military people follow the orders to subjugate their own people. And again, I doubt our military members are going to be much different.

Also, I'd point out that military members are not overwhelmingly conservatives. Having been in the military, I can tell you that there are tons of leftists in the military among both the enlisted and the officers.

So, again, I have no faith that the military will refuse orders when orders are given to do something against the civilian population.

A lot of conservatives always seem to believe that the military is on "our" side. It isn't. First, the military has been wildly politicized by the left since Clinton's day. Second, as I said, there are probably about as many leftists in the military as conservatives. Third, human nature's experience in other countries tells us that the soldiers will follow orders - even when told to fire on their own people.

Take back the language, take back the narrative.

For example: when speaking of "CO2", talking about the "greening" of the planet since plants greatly flourish with increased atmospheric CO2. Gush about how nitrogen based fertilizers allow more natural food to be grown on less and less farmland, requiring less water and allowing for more untamed/"pristine" pastures and woodlands.

Since words don't have meaning anymore and are largely used for emotional triggering, push them into merging contradictory emotions and their triggers.

Disable them through their own rhetoric by confusing their emotions.

Axshually, it does. What the Constitution says is that if a president and vp run from the same state the electors of that state can't vote for them. This is from a time when we didn't have president and vp running on a ticket and the first place winner became president and second became vp. So they could run together but they would lose Florida's electoral votes.

396 394 392 I don't think that's been true for several years. that's not really accurate. Reagan picked Bush to appease the non-conservative northeast liberal GOP establishment. Trump picking DeSantis would seem to be doubling down on MAGA, not appeasing the party.

And, you have to remember that Bush I only won the Presidency after Reagan b/c the dems put up such a terrible, terrible candidate in Dukakis. My guess is that if the dems had nominated someone else that year Bush I would have lost the election.

Bush I managed to go from approvals in the high 80s to losing to Clinton in less than 2 years, which almost seems like an impossible feat.

Nevertrump makes some noises that they would support DeSantis - but that is b/c they want to make sure Trump is defeated. They will be just as against DeSantis as they are Trump if DeSantis runs as a MAGA candidate.

For instance, if you read AP's stuff on HotAir regarding DeSantis, you can generally feel the hatred oozing from AP, even as he's attempting to say ok things about DeSantis.

It's really the MAGA policies Nevertrump is against, not really Trump as a person - although they try to pretend it's only about Trump's personality. But, nevertrump argued against just about every Trump policy.

The delay was only for political purposes -- helps the GOP (who wanted it) because they get to pretend they were "screwed" and didn't want this and helps the Dems because the inflation that will be caused by this gets delayed until after midterms.

471 "Our rulers' wealth and power rise with open borders, trade giveaways, and endless war. Trump, at least in principle, and often in practice, threatens all three."

I didn't vote for Trump in the 2016 primary and immediately recognized my mistake. Make no mistake... If DJT or DeSantis runs(with the bravery of defying donors) our rabid communist establishment will treat them the same nasty way.

The only way I can see any victory at elections is for YOU all to get off your duffs and become election judges in suspected areas. For example, I live 40 miles from MPLS and I can be an election judge in that corrupt shithole. You can too. We need to completely overwhelm them this Nov 8th and in 2024.
