Welp, we saw "Nope" -
It's not very good. Like the very few reviews I took a look at said, you're opinion depends on how you feel about the third act. I would just say save your money and watch it when it streams for free or for cheap. Big screen adds nothing. BONUS! Not race obsessed like the usual Jordon Peele flick. However- SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS "Nope" is basically an inferior sky monster version of "Tremors" with a bit of "Jaws" in the mix. And the monster in it's final form looks like a Big White Gay Parachute. So, a white villain after all. SPOILERS OVER SPOILERS OVER SPOILERS OVER SPOILERS OVER SPOILERS OVER SPOILERS OVER Some good sequences.but Peele's movies have each been progressively worse, since "Get Out" Given the big quality drop on this one, Jordon Peele's next flick will be the equivalent of a Black cast "Ernest" movie. Inferno (Italian: [iɱˈfɛrno]; Italian for "Hell") is the first part of Italian writer Dante Alighieri's 14th-century epic poem Divine Comedy. It is followed by Purgatorio and Paradiso. The Inferno describes Dante's journey through Hell, guided by the ancient Roman poet Virgil. In the poem, Hell is depicted as nine concentric circles of torment located within the Earth; it is the "realm ... of those who have rejected spiritual values by yielding to bestial appetites or violence, or by perverting their human intellect to fraud or malice against their fellowmen"

278 Inferno (Italian: [iɱˈfɛrno]; Italian for "Hell") is the first part of Italian writer Dante Alighieri's 14th-century epic poem Divine Comedy.

The Senate voted 64-34 to begin debate on its Chips bill, a corporate-welfare vehicle providing $52 billion in grants and $24 billion in tax credits to the profitable semiconductor industry. But it turns out that bill was merely the bad news. The really bad news is that Majority Leader Chuck Schumer quickly filed a 1,054-page bipartisan amendment to pour more than twice that amount of money into federal agencies.
The $76 billion Chips version is wasteful enough since the pandemic computer-chip shortage is already easing amid slowing demand and new investments in capacity—including new factories in the U.S. But politicians always want more, and the $250 billion version will help the U.S. compete against China only if you believe that the key to success is a larger federal bureaucracy and more political allocation of capital. '' I expect to see Jesus waiting for me at the entrance to heaven with an exasperated look on his face.''
Well, to be literal about it, He won't have an exasperated look because He already knows whether or not you're going to heaven. I remember an 'after-death' experience story in an old issue of Catholic Digest years ago, where the protagonist sees God's hands holding a silver sphere. When the newly-dead person tried to make one themselves, it only came out as a crumpled, crooked wad of metal. But God took it anyway, and began leading them into heaven. I don't really know whether it was a true vision or not (I suspect not), but it was a nice example of God forgiving imperfection. Or so I thought then. I don't know what I think now. We are all, by now, familiar with the most appalling, “boy did that age poorly” anonymous quote in the history of American politics, published by the Washington Post less than two months before the deadly siege of the U.S. Capitol and the attempted assassination of the vice president:
“What’s the downside for humoring him?” they mused. I've never heard of this. Must be a big thing in Vichy Republican land. The quote was rattling around my brain last Thursday night as I watched Liz Cheney ruthlessly eviscerate her cowering colleagues like a lioness gnawing on a carcass in an NC-17 nature documentary. But it was during that savage meal that something rather alarming occurred to me. Liz might be winning the argument for history and in my living room. But in present-day Republican politics, that anonymous “what’s the downside for humoring him” moron actually won the day. And not just that day, but today. Because despite how brutally and blatantly their strategy in managing Trump’s psychopathy failed, Senior Republican Officials (SROs) are still employing it. Posted by: blake - semi lurker in marginal standing(5pTK/) at July 25, 2022 10:56 AM (5pTK/) ========== It's the difference between how the establishments are being treated by the base. Gabbard is against the establishment, and she'll be blocked forever from any kind of power. Cheney is of the establishment, and the establishment will buoy her for years, but the base will reject her. I wonder if hub's clients ever had this thought about him...
--- No, really. Ned Resnikoff, a “senior editor” at the liberal website ThinkProgress, wrote on Facebook that he’d called a plumber to fix a clogged drain. The plumber showed up, did the job and left, but Resnikoff was left shaken, though with a functioning drain. Wrote Resnikoff, “He was a perfectly nice guy and a consummate professional. But he was also a middle-aged white man with a Southern accent who seemed unperturbed by this week’s news.” This created fear: “While I had him in the apartment, I couldn’t stop thinking about whether he had voted for Trump, whether he knew my last name is Jewish, and how that knowledge might change the interaction we were having inside my own home.” When it was all over, Resnikoff reported that he was “rattled” at the thought that a Trump supporter might have been in his home. “I couldn’t shake the sense of potential danger.” https://tinyurl.com/2yz6xjy3 Posted by: SMH at what's coming at July 25, 2022 10:59 AM (6euYL) 457

I despise "ThinkProgress" more than most of the liberal crapsites, because I remember how they got started. They are not just "Liberal", almost *every* editor and writer came from the Clinton admin, after Bush took office in 2000. It has always been the prime mouthpiece for the Clinton family organization. Once all those packages that Amazon sends through USPS start showing up 2-3 days late, especially in winter, there's going to be a very large fleet of unused electric vehicles parked somewhere just outside of town.
The graft will have been paid in full, though. Posted by: TheJamesMadison, learning the value of horror with Wes Craven at July 25, 2022 10:14 AM (LvTSG) I will risk being the contrarian here. Delivery vans, on well-defined routes, out of base stations, is exactly the sort of role for which electric vehicles are suited. Not that electric vehicles are necessarily the best fit for the job, but it's within their performance parameters. Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at July 25, 2022 11:08 AM (2Uu3u) 478
