The psych community doesn't help them get over the trauma. It turns them into perpetual victims who can never escape their trauma. I have friends who came home fine, but were flagged for PTSD on return, then absolutely destroyed, and are now dysfunctional morons on 5 different antidepressants and antipsychotics to "cope". And we didn't see people blown up or any gory shit.

You have mentioned that before, and I should make a trip at some point. I have been the the Evergreen International Aviation museum outside of Portland, and it's one hell of an aerospace museum. The Spruce Goose is so big that it actually didn't register for me. I literally didn't see it because it's surrounded by (and the wings are parked over some) normal-sized things, and it took a bit to click that it was there.

Every president has to deal with the fallout of the previous administrations to some degree. But there has to be some sensible connection. Clinton era policies (also followed by Bush Jr.) led to the 2008 collapse. My sis gets surprisingly high mileage in her Jaguar. I got 42mpg on a recent trip in a Ford Focus. In contrast, a mutual friend drives a hybrid and rarely gets close to optimal mileage.

You'll be waiting awhile.
This takes a long, long, long time to dawn on most people. The Left's base is still way behind the Right's on this - unlike the Right, their Party has pretty consistently delivered up the goods until really recently - and even so, there are *many* people who *still* haven't figured this out about the Right. At this rate, you'll start to see large numbers of Lefties get disaffected in maybe the 2050s.
Of course, then again - maybe a lot sooner. They're not completely accustomed to being hoodwinked, like GOP voters, and may react poorly.

My sis gets surprisingly high mileage in her Jaguar. I got 42mpg on a recent trip in a Ford Focus. In contrast, a mutual friend drives a hybrid and rarely gets close to optimal mileage.

I keep the tires aired up to 35, 2 over the door placard pressure; use the A/C especially when I am at highway speeds (open windows increase drag); take off swiftly but not in jackrabbit fashion from lights; and don't slam on the brakes. On the other hand, I usually drive +5 to +10 over the speed limit (except in school zones and residential areas.)

First, how was the shooter able to get so close to him? Do former heads of state in Japan lose their security details when they retire? Even if they do, shouldn't they have a police presence for him due to the nature of the event? His assassination is scandalous, especially for Japan.
Second, last year, Jovenal Moise, the president of Haiti was assassinated July 7, 2021. A year and a day before Abe was assassinated. Like the Abe assaination, none of Moise's bodyguards were injured or attacked. There has been no trial in Haiti, but SOMEHOW, all of the suspects have been transferred to the United States and charged criminally with U.S. crimes. The Moise assassination stinks of corruption in both Haiti and the US.

Presumably one of the three radios the Blackbird navigator was monitoring was for civilian VHF traffic, and of course he would have heard the Hornet over his UHF. There was no reason to stomp on the Hornet pilot because he wouldn't have heard the civilian pilot's request for a ground speed check or the controller's response. So who was really the jerk?
