*monthly price
MEAN TWEETS: n/a (Last Week: n/a, 2018: $ !%#*%!!!)

Good morning, kids. Monday and continuing a theme from the end of last week, given the absolute and complete divide between the two ideological camps in this country, I am increasingly of the opinion that there can never be any reconciliation whatsoever. Certainly not when the American left seeks to destroy the very institutions and culture with which we are supposed to find the common ground to work out our differences in the interest of "live and let live." As a dear friend of mine would say, "Ain't happenin', babe." The reactions to the overturning of Roe v. Wade both in rhetoric and in acts of violence fomented by same merely underscore the situation.

One link which, given the momentous news about the Roe, Bruen, and the equally important Makin decisions, would have otherwise got completely lost in the sauce is quite illustrative of the pickle we find ourselves in. Yet again, it comes to us via Project Veritas.

If you go to Krystle Matthews’ campaign website, you’ll see that this Democrat party candidate for the U.S. Senate (who’s now in a run-off with Catherine Fleming Bruce) presents herself as the all-American Black candidate for the little people: She’s a single mom of five, the daughter of a Vietnam vet, and the granddaughter of a sharecropper. Her roots in America run very deep.

She makes no secret about the racist core of her campaign, although it’s phrased very tactfully: “She was inspired to run for office in 2018 because she believed that people who look like her and come from backgrounds like hers are often affected the most and heard the least.” Matthews also explains that she wants to change the “toxic politics that rob our most vulnerable communities of their power.”

It turns out, though, that Matthews isn’t above “toxic politics” when it comes to plotting a Democrat takeover of South Carolina’s strong Republican leanings. We know that because Project Veritas Action obtained a recording of a February 15, 2022, phone call that Matthews had with David Solomon Ballard, an inmate at Perry Correctional Institution. . .

“We need some secret sleepers.  Like you need, we need them to run as the other side, even though they for our side. We need people to run as Republicans in these local elections. This is the only way you’re going to change the dynamics in South Carolina.”

“Honestly, these ain’t the same type of black people that I grew up around.  I don’t recognize these black people.  So, I black because I don’t understand the type of black that they are.  Now, can I talk intelligently?  Can I- I could be.  Listen, I can move in all kind of circles, but I’m a n**** at heart.  I love black people.  I feel safest around my people.”

“We need some folks that can wear all black at night and take they f****** yard signs down when they- when they sleeping.”

“I still got to struggle to raise money for my campaign?  Where the f*** is my black people with money?  I don’t care about no dope money!  Give me that dope boy money!”

“S***, where the f**king dope?  Where the duffle bag boys?  Get you- find me somebody from your family that don’t even know you donating to my campaign and put that s*** under they names.”

. . . Matthews wants nothing to do with a Black community that embraces core American values and aspires to racial harmony. Moreover, she’s quite explicit: If she cannot change that attitude through persuasion, she’ll do what leftists always do when nobody wants what they’re selling: Cheat. Conservative communities across America need to understand that Matthews is not alone. Whether it’s mail-only voting, ballot harvesting, or fifth columnists, Democrats are happy to attain by foul means that which they cannot earn through fair ones.

And of course, when cheating doesn't even work B-urn, L-oot and M-urder. Friend and friend of the blog, Michael Walsh:

It has long been a dictum of mine that, as far as the progressive Left is concerned, "they never stop, they never sleep, they never quit." After their twin defeats at the Supreme Court last week, regarding two of their most sensitive issues (both of which derive from their devotion to cultural suicide, which is their principal objective), don't expect them to give up easily. They subscribe to their version of Islamism or the Brezhnev Doctrine: once they've conquered moral or physical territory, it can never go back to the way it was. They see themselves as the heroes of their own movies, good red-diaper babies constantly battling the forces of revanchism and irrendentism, which are you. The idea that they're the bad guy never occurs to them. . .

. . . About their only admirable trait is their refusal to give up—something that brands them in perpetuity as sore losers, with whom we have to live as long as these United States stay together. The question is, how much longer can this go on? . . .

. . . There is no stasis in Leftism: you're either breaking boundaries and pushing envelopes and shattering glass ceilings or you're losing. The reason they never stop is that they cannot stop. They can't be satisfied with a small victory. It's all or nothing. It's their fatal flaw, their Achilles heel. . .

. . . The two big decisions last week have given them an out: blue-state fantasy homelands of their very own where they're free to abort babies and celebrative 52 genders and chemically castrate their XY birth-defectives and drive magic electric cars and heat and cool their homes with windmills and eat bugs and refuse to defend themselves and defund the police and enforce "equity" and anything else their hearts desire, even if it kills them.

Because, in the end, that's what they really want. An end to their restlessness and their war against their own savage gods. All we want, by contrast, is to be left alone with a culture we love and prize and wish to pass on to our children.

In the words of President Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants, "Look, Fat. You just hit the head on its nail-thing." I would take it a step further. Even if we were to enact some theoretical "two-state solution," the Left will never allow us to be left alone. Within a very short order, as we throw off the shackles of leftist progressivism and thrive, yet again, as the greatest bastion of freedom and prosperity on the planet, they will rapidly devolve into something akin to a hybrid of Somalia/North Korea and Snake Plissken's Manhattan. It will be in-their-face, absolute living proof that everything they believe in, about their greatness and goodness and our putative evil is a lie.

We're seeing it bit by bit right now, with the reaction from traditional Democrats/liberals (not the Marxist brainwashed true believers) at $5.00 a gallon gas, criminals running wild and their money growing worthless by the day. The complete collapse of their glorious, socialist Democratic People's Republic of Junktuckistan and as we grow and prosper would be an absolute negation of their entire weltanschauung that cannot be denied or covered up no matter how many Jen Piss-Hockey's and CNN's they deploy.

I always said that if there were just one solitary Jew left who lived at the farthest reaches of the known universe 15 billion light years distant, the Islamic world would do whatever it could to construct a spacecraft to carry Khalid Sheik Mohammed and his rusty hacksaw there to saw the guy's head off. Same goes for all of us who believe in the ideals of America as founded, the Bible and its precepts and the past 2,000 years of the advancement of civilization, and those who do everything from rig elections to firebomb pro-life offices to gunning down enemy politicians.

And so here we are in 2022. The polarization is so absolute and our society and political institutions so thoroughly poisoned that us playing by the Marquis of Queensbury rules while they do not is a recipe for disaster. Forgetting national divorce, even if we were to win a hot civil war (to whatever level of heat we reach), at the end of it there can be no quarter given. Something akin to a mass deprogramming and/or de-Nazification program must be instituted, since a very large mass of a defeated enemy will still exist within our borders. That includes the complete dismantling of the entire federal bureaucracy as well as the bureaucracies of blue states and cities and the removal of any leftist in any position of authority or influence.

God forbid they consolidate the overthrow of the nation as of 1/6/21, no quarter will be given to us.

28 The two big decisions last week have given them an out: blue-state fantasy homelands of their very own

Bing was pushing a CNBC article about while all the permits are in place, the people of Maine are vetoing the building of a 54 mile long power corridor to bring Canadian hydroelectric power to Massachusetts consumers.

All of the usual rhetoric about Green and Renewables was countered with Trees, unmolested wildspace and the viewshed - citizens of Maine not wanting this football field wide scar running through their state so that Massachusetts can avoid generating their own power.

NIMBY vs NIMBY. I like the Green Activist who was under the employ of Big Hydro who demanded that power be nationalized so that the Federal Government would force the people of Maine to suck it up and allow the power line though.

There was not one person who questioned the wisdom of importing electricity far away from its generation site and consider locally generated and managed service.

30 The Great Sorting continues to gain momentum.

If you are conservative in a blue city/state, you are going to lose your job soon. They are coming for you.

Last week was the biggest signal yet: Get out.

They will have you arrested for owning guns. They will attack you in the street if they know you're conservative.

What's funny is, the Purity Progressives are no longer excepting Sleeper Republicans from their attacks. Those 15 votes last week were one last, desperate grovel to buy a few more weeks for them-- they fear getting kicked out of the Good Politician Club more than their constituents. But, being an agent saboteur is no longer good enough-- you must be true in all public faces.

Pixy had an article about the reversal of Roe v Wade. Of course the author of the article is a fool, but the comments were far more revealing as to what diabolical monsters compose the modern Left.

The Pavlovian Conditioning, perfected by the Nazi regime and heavily leveraged in the political conditioning of setting people in a mode to be easily manipulated and propagandized (via All Things CoViD-19 lockdown theater) is now bearing great fruit in the form of wild-eyed, unhinged hysteria, hate and shouting at the sky.

I, for one, am pleased that the Great Divorce is going to be rather organic as more and more people are of the realization that they just can't live with their neighbor and realize that moving to be among one's own people is the only practical step.

And yet, year after year, more States are loosening up their gun laws, if not simply reverting to Constitutional Carry.

That fool on The View when saying that Republicans will change their minds when blacks get funs was merely projecting the exact Democrat racist reasoning that began the whole movement to ban and license personal firearms. The Democrats, hating blacks and considering them subhuman, wrote during the post-Reconstruction era, all kinds of laws promoting segregation, banning interracial marriage and gun ownership.

This is what happens when a person is stupid and unaware of history - they end up repeating it.

55 Eric Adams, the mayor of New York City, claims the SCOTUS ruling “made every single one of us less safe.” How so? The number of shootings in New York City soared 97% from 2019 to 2020. Murders jumped by 43%. None of these shootings and murders were committed by Americans with a concealed carry license, because the 111-year-old law in New York effectively prohibited it.

NYC allows about 1100 out of 9000 licenses annually.

63 I'm more hopeful than most, I guess. I have the data showing that not only are they a minority, they are losing ground.

The "sore loser" vibe that they give doesn't play well with the voters.

Listened to an interesting piece over the weekend, the premise is that they problem with the left is that they have been unable to put together a core governing philosophy that resonates with the voters since JFK. Johnson went to war, Carter was lucky with Watergate, Clinton lied about his southern centrist philosophy, and Obama won through personal popularity against bad candidates. No where along the line has a governing philosophy that the people accept been put forward.

Of course on the Republican side, we have been hampered by the Bushites.

Pollyanish I am sure, but I think the insane swirl we are seeing is 40 years of nonsense finally coming to a head as voters say "enough".

64 The biggest weapon the Sleeper Republicans had to give them cover to pull their deception was Roe v. Wade.

They could lie all day about their opposition to abortion, safe behind the wall of the Court; knowing it would never be overturned. And the conservative religious voters bought it because they couldn't imagine someone would lie about that.

How many of these fake Republicans slipped into office by the efforts of religious conservatives? "He/she promises to end abortion."

No more.

The eGOP is already doing this in our OH county. They hold training sessions for GOP candidates on how to speak to the voters but remain, or move towards, the left after election to office. Similarly, they block potential MAGA candidates from getting on the ballot at all.

That is true in every state. The GOP-e for generations has been the party of graft, corruption and fecklessness while the Democrats are ideological monsters who just want to set the world on fire.

Trump changed that, but the backroom Republicans aren't willing to let go of their bought and paid for shills in public office. They are evil, backstabbing liars just as loathsome as a typical Democrat.

If you're a woman on the career track, and you decide to have your company fund an abortion, do you really think that there will be no adverse career ramifications? That the company won't keep that on your permanent work record?

When I was at Goldman, there was a guy who ran my department who had a drug problem at one point. Went to rehab; company paid for it, and he kept his job. He was a Managing Director, made millions for the company and for himself, but never made partner.

I heard a lot about how these Woke companies should be lauded for paying for abortions, but not one word about the unintended consequences of such decisions. Typical of the MSM.

Women who are "forced" to carry an "unwanted" pregnancy are poor decision makers and lead to a life of poverty and struggle in later years.

You strap 'em to the front of the demolition cars in their best and most flamboyant outfits, and go at it. The crowd'll love it!

147 It has long been a dictum of mine that, as far as the progressive Left is concerned, "they never stop, they never sleep, they never quit." After their twin defeats at the Supreme Court last week, regarding two of their most sensitive issues (both of which derive from their devotion to cultural suicide, which is their principal objective), don't expect them to give up easily.

THIS is so absolutely true. They are relentless, they attack everything sane, they don't give a fuck about laws, they want us dead but in prison will do.

It's totalitarian scary shit. And they will never stop. Also, their allies have damn near unlimited power.

It's like every night is Purge Night for the left. We fortify our homes and try not to become totes legal 'victims' under color of 'law'. Their job is Chaos.

Morning, y'all.

Police stopped and arrested the attacker in the town of Wuerzburg by firing a bullet through his thigh. They said his injuries were not life-threatening.

Which is the entire Education system, as currently constituted, must be dismantled and effectively destroyed. All public education should be abolished; it's just Daycare for Delinquents now, so no loss. I suspect that maybe 25% of the current university system could be reformed, but the rest (including every Ivy League school) needs to be burned to the ground, and their endowments confiscated. I have been very glad to see Pete Hegseth, in his new book agree - we are far past the point where Reform is possible, our only option left is destruction and rebuilding from scratch.

The Bill of Rights wasn't meant to be an exclusive list. I believe there should be others. Like the right to travel. And a right to privacy. And a right to birth control.

It went wrong when Roe used the right of privacy / doctor patient construct for abortion. Abortion is really about answering the question "when does infanticide begin" which is not a federal quesion.

"Status quo ante bellum" hasn't worked before, won't work now, won't work in the future. It's an impossible concept. There is too much damage, too much bitterness, too many hurt feelings, etc. after a war - be it cultural or physical - to return to the way thing were before the war happened.

So what will happen as the culture war heats up and battles are won and lost? I don't know. I'll take the victories where I can and do so happily, but I'm under no illusions that "victory" however it's defined will result in the world as it was. Palazzo has been in the US House for nearly 12 years now, and he's put on 5 pounds per year as a guess. The trough provides.

I'll be voting for his opponent. Whomever wins the primary wins the seat. Every GOPe-er should have a primary challenger. I am soooo sick of the Establishment arm of the party.

It's a reflection of they, themselves. It's the way they operate and what they would do. They put themselves in our shoes on one particular decision - Roe v Wade in this case - and then consider what they would if they had a spasm of new momentum. What they do is march forward at all times at all costs and nothing whatsoever is sacred or fundamental, with everything subordinate to the conflict itself. So they consider the opposition's victory, apply their own approach, project their own stereotypes about us onto the scenario (we're racists, we're sexists, we're theocrats, etc.), and then extrapolate from there and assume an unchecked line of (anti) progress into the future based.

What they're talking about - no more birth control, no more interracial marriage, a return to coverture, imposed theocracy, etc. - is what they would do if their motivations matched that outcome.

The humanities have been destroyed, and no longer act as the reservoirs of knowledge about why the world is and how it has gotten here. The physical sciences explain how the world is, the humanities explain(ed) why.

The destruction of the humanities has been cataclysmic. They no longer exist. The humanities as they exist today post-subversion are no longer an honest, honorable, valuable or noble pursuit. The humanities are the playground of the worst kind of monsters in our civilization today. They are boot camps training soldiers for the culture war and nothing more, and we are far poorer for it.

Sadly and dangerously, the humanities' influence has now been extending out into the physical sciences, which will be destroyed even more quickly because unlike the humanities, the sciences depend on some hard and fast rules.

Black Abortions in 2016: . An estimated 649 abortions were committed on Black women every single day. Black people made up just 12 percent of the U.S. population but accounted for 38 percent of reported abortions.; The Black abortion rate (abortions per 1,000 women aged 15-44 years) was 3.8 times higher than white abortion rate (25.1 v. 6.6) and 2.15 times higher than the Hispanic abortion rate.

Lots of black abortions did little to improve their financial status.

I have a good friend, a gay man married to his partner, who I was talking to about this on Saturday. He was glad to see Roe v Wade overturned, but was worried about Thomas' statements in the concurrence. I tried to make three points to him, and I think I was at least partially successful. 1) Thomas is correct, Substantive Due Process is a badly flawed legal doctrine and should be dropped. Gay marriage should be supported on much stronger and more legitimate legal grounds than that.
2) NO ONE is agitating to get rid of gay marriage anymore. That fight is over. 3) All of this fearmongering on the left about conservatives conspiring to take away all of their rights is just fevered wishcasting on their part, based on their fantasies of who they think conservatives are, not on who we really are.

I don't think it's going to happen. The street violence, rioting, vandalism, etc. is largely not spontaneous but is rather a controlled operation unleashed by (and called back in by) leftist organizations with tacit approval by the municipal governments where it occurs. The people calling the shots are sinister but they aren't particularly stupid.

Rioting over this would be extremely damaging for them. Abortion is not the top issue for voters this cycle and they can't make it the top issue because the economy is far too important right now. Moreover, most people in this country support some kind of abortion restriction. "Total ban" and "anytime, anywhere, any reason or no reason at all" are both relatively unpopular positions. Sending out their goons to wreck up cities in the name of no-restrictions abortion when most places will retain some degree of access would be counterproductive and they know it.

I could imagine a deep red state like AL trying to undo gay marriage with the fall of Obergfell, but that's about it. I wouldn't say "nobody", there will definitely be efforts coming from state level GOPers. Very few of them will succeed because, essentially, the fight is over. The culture has turned on that issue to a point where it won't be undone on any significant level.

It's antithetical to the form of government the US is supposed to have.

Without going into great detail, the Chevron precedent vastly expanded the powers of the Federal Bureaucracy in ways never before imagined, and made it impossible for any average person or company to ever effectively challenge any administrative ruling made by an agency. It was the actual birth of the all powerful Administrative State, and the source of so much of the evils that have been destroying us for the last 40 years.

The Chevron decision effectively transferred all actual governing power from an accountable Legislature to an Unaccountable appointed Bureaucracy.

In those days my school had some Straussians still around and students were expected to study widely divergent viewpoints on any particular question, even in a ridiculous major like my own, or you got roasted in class and grades.

That's all gone now. One viewpoint, the critical study perspective, has driven every other view out of a once-great university. The only competition of ideas is "who can be most radical". It is entirely Maoist.

I could even see an argument for how this would be a good thing - not right, but pragmatically useful - if there were two preconditions:

Chevron allowed Congress to consolidate the three branches of government into a massive unaccountable bureaucracy by granting federal agencies unfettered legislative power to enact “legislation “ through rule making, “judicial” decisions through administrative law judges, and delegated executive power to enforce its own rules and decisions. As one of the many consequences Congress gets to dedicate less time to their constitutional duties and more time and opportunity to grift.

Isn't that just describing an old fashioned transvestite?
____________

In the photo that accompanied the article, he had long hair and was wearing makeup and earrings, and he was wearing a dress.

Transvestites didn't usually have the "transition" surgery; they just dressed up like women and tucked and taped their junk, and wore fake breasts.

Richards had the surgery and that is sold to kids today as the "magic" solution to all their problems, because it supposedly changes their sex. Except that it doesn't, which was the point Richards was making. He's still a man, with a man's body (one that has been surgically mutilated, but is still a man's body).

The left is lying to kids and telling them that they can "change" their sex, but the truth is that is just not true. We don't have the technology to change anybody's sex. All they do is surgically alter the body to try and mimic the look of the other sex, but the alterations are ludicrous and the new fake sex organs don't work, and the body remains the sex it always was, which is encoded in its DNA.

358 OT: Ordered some more quercetin and NAC from LifeExtension dot com. My plan is to have it on hand the next time I get sick, or Miss Linda does. I'm down to a little sinus pressure and the occasional cough, plus coffee tastes terrible even with sweetener in it. That, naturally, is a side effect of a stuffed-up nose. I'm not worried that the Coof (if it was the Coof) has ruined my senses of taste and smell.

I'm pretty much the only one in the office now, and I may be alone all day. Everybody else is taking vacation. Me? There's no place to go when it's so hot and humid; I'm tired of looking at the same walls I looked at while I was sick; and I want to save my vacation hours so I get paid for them when I retire.

415 AFAIK, MIT still offers a "pirate certification" to anyone who successfully completes the sailing, fencing, and pistol marksmanship classes.

I qualified on the 1911 .45, M-14 and shotgun, as well as passing navigation and celestial navigation classes in the Navy. Now have passed a sailing class and I once spent a year in a fencing class.

Arrrrrrr!

418 Intel disagrees. They have put a pause on their Ohio fabrication plant until Congress authorizes the CHIPS money that helps underwrite the cost of building strategic semiconductor plants in CONUS.

Intel's plant in Ohio will not replace Taiwan. It would be a damned good and important thing to have, though. Taiwan won't be replaced in a day.

420 400 FenSpouse who is even more ancient than I am says he thinks that the best guitarists of the past 60 years were or are Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton (I enjoy Clapton too) Geogee Harrison (but I can't stand the Beatles) and Mark Knopfler.
Posted by: FenelonSpoke at June 27, 2022 09:30 AM

Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Glenn Campbell, Chet Akins, Prince.

And MANY Spanish guitarists over the years, including my current fave Estas Tonne: https://tinyurl.com/5fcnfnth

Not in the way that you think. Technology makes current plants obsolete. Remember when the floods wiped out the Taiwanese magnetic hard disk manufacturing? Yeah. No one cared because all it did was accelerate the adoption of Sold State Drives.

The buildings are just shells for what takes place on the inside, and that is the constant changeover of wafer technology equipment and the engineers that press the evolution forward.

422 On great guitarists, there's also Stevie Ray Vaughn. Massive talent.

423 Thanks, Naughty Pine-I am not really familiar with the work of Chet Atkins or Glenn Campbel,l but thank for the link for the Spanish guitarist. FenSpouse was thinking of rock guitarists--which I should have specified, but he appreciates other genres as well.

Yes, of course. That's true in any manufacturing scenario. And when the hard drive plants had trouble in Taiwan, there was already huge infrastructure in Malaysia, India, etc. as well as catching the NAND explosion largely out of Korea the US and Taiwan itself. Those same conditions don't exist for chips. It isn't all Taiwan - we make a lot of them, as does Malaysia - but Taiwan is systemically important in that space, and it's a strategic problem. We and the Europeans are still dominant in the lithography machinery, but we need the fabrication work back.

427 Nick Drake was a great guitarist, really unique

I still say he didn't suicide, he badly self-medicated his sleeplessness. Docs in those days didn't know what the heck they were prescribing and how things interacted - right before he died he was writing about how debilitating his insomnia was in his journal.

I could be wrong. Huge loss and so young.

428 @172

>>"when does infanticide begin" which is not a federal question.

Exactly, life begins at the moment of conception.

Or said another way..

Take a fertilized ovum five seconds after fertilization and transport it to Mars and put it in the path of the Mars Rover as it takes samples, what would be the headlines around the world after the NASA analyst looking at this data picks himself off the floor be and announces his findings?

429 Wish I had a dollar for every time I read about a guitarist being “underrated”. Mark Knopfler I gets the recognition he deserves for being a great guitar player within the guitar community. From metal players Ozzys Zack Wilde to country players like Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, Albert Lee and many others across genres. Outside of the guitar community nobody gives a shit. For the most part the only people into guitar players are other guitar players and a few that admire or have an ear for it(guitar).
