I disagree with this. Carter turned people off to politics, especially the young. Reagan put it in clear terms that there was a "right" side to history and that America was something to be proud of. He did not appeal to the young, but his message did.

I recently moved from semi-arid CO to a place with water. My water conservation habits have died hard. I had company and the person asked my why I kept turning off the sink between dishes while rinsing them. It's just ingrained behavior from when I lived in a place with very scarce water. Here, it doesn't matter. I still have those habits, though.

I understand that, but a good bit of western civilization as it still existed in the USA was built on an implicit level of unearned trust. The deal was that you participated in society in a trustworthy fashion because you expected the same of others. There were exceptions to that but they were identified as such and discouraged. That is mostly all gone now and I imagine it's never coming back. It's all game-theory now.

They ended up suffering the problem we now face of an uncontrollable bureaucracy though. Just because a monarch nominally has authority doesn't meant they have control in reality, and they spend a lot of time balancing between different groups and interests.
Ultimately though monarchies do have a pretty good track record of the ruler identifying the country with himself(as it is his possession), though this can mean undesirable wars of aggrandizement, rarely are they actively and intentionally self-destructive.

This is not true. Our current betters desire to institute a global aristocracy with them and theirs playing the role. The WEF has been very open and up-front about all of this.

It doesn't matter what they desire. If they want it to happen they need to start realizing that every step they make to their goal is blowing up in their face. Look at their attempts to kill Russia - Russia is stronger and they are destroying Europe and the West. You'd think this might get them to try something else....

You and I agree with that, yes. But is that what the poll results mean? Or did the question deliberately leave that open to interpretation?
If I was asked if the government planned the fake "attack" on the Capitol with use of Capitol Police and undercover FBI agents instigating the fake "attack", then I answer yes.
If I was asked if President Trump supporters attacked the Capitol and planned it ahead of time, I answer no.
