Ha ha! They're always lightly loaded and the abrupt pitch is way within milspec control rates. The load factors are even pretty low. I'd run numbers occasionally on request if they wanted to do anything out of the norm in airshows. JATO isn't really a critical design event.

68 FWIW we lived on the CA central coast for awhile. For about 18 months we rented a house on Del Monte Beach in Monterey. Swimming with otters was common. They're inquisitive, but not sexually aggressive.... that I'm aware of.

158 I didn't get a chance to comment earlier today.... I was glad to hear that Roe is gone, it's a day I've prayed for literally since I was still a kid. But I don't feel entitled to celebrate because I live in a baby-killing state where the slaughter is only going to get worse, and I don't see any way out of it for the foreseeable future.

Also wanted to add that I decided not to go to the Trump rally tomorrow-- as much as I'd love to be there, there's no way I can tolerate standing in line for hours in 90+ degree heat and not having anywhere to sit (since you can't bring your own chairs). I will be watching it online, though, and I'm sure it will be lit....

They basically mocked those who booed Cornyn and Texas conservatives. (They didn't say deplorable, but it was close). The only discussion was about the mental health aspect of the bill which has problems but is probably needed. Cornyn had to run to vote on cloture so it was over pretty fast. Very frustrating.

WA state has gone way overboard with protections for renters and it falls over to cover squatters. There is a law on the books to make it easier to evict squatters, but it seems to be ignored.

353 The perfect chocolate chip cookies have a crispy outside, and a chewy inside.

One achieves this by using a 50/50 mix of light brown and dark brown sugar, warming the butter to *just* melting, and slowly dissolving all of the brown & white sugar, plus egg(s) into the blend, along with the bit of vanilla extract.

Blend slowly till it's a creamy, lump free mix, and only THEN, blend in the pre-mixed dry ingredients, and then the (refrigerated) chocolate chips. Refrigerate for about 2 hours after mixing, so it'll "spoon" better onto the cookie sheets. Keep putting bowl of dough back into the fridge, between "spoonings", until all has made the trip though the oven.

Crispy outside. Chewy inside. Perfection.
