Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Protect The Leviathan At All Costs! The Uvalde Cops Are Cowardly Thugs Who Do The Bidding Of The State, Rather Than Protecting The PublicThe Uvalde cops, both the town cops and the school district cops are sleazy cowards who deserve to be run out of town on a rail. They are more interested in their pensions and staying safe than they are in doing the jobs they are paid to do! And if you criticize them? Point out that they are in fact shitty at their jobs? That they let children die rather than risk their own safety? Then you are the enemy! Uvalde mom Angeli Rose Gomez has been threatened with a probation violation by Uvalde police if she continues talking to media about the school shooting that claimed the lives of 21 people. The Texas Police Association code of ethics has something to say about that... I WILL never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, political beliefs, aspirations, animosities or friendships to influence my decisions. With no compromise for crime and with relentless prosecution of criminals, I will enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear or favor, malice or ill will, never employing unnecessary force or violence and never accepting gratuities. I RECOGNIZE the badge of my office as a symbol of public faith and I accept it as a public trust to be held so long as I am true to the ethics of the police service. I will never engage in acts of corruption or bribery, nor will I condone such acts by other police officers. I will cooperate with all legally authorized agencies and their representatives in the pursuit of justice. [Emphasis mine]Right...except for when it threatens your pension. Then you will clam up! You know...if Uvalde had simply disbanded their school district police department and had given Angeli Rose Gomez some training with firearms, an AR-15 and a sidearm, I'll bet this whole thing would have turned out a lot better. America has pissed away untold billions of dollars on militarizing our police, training them in the latest tactics, and we ended up with a bunch of fat f$%ks sitting on their hands or pepper spraying parents who wanted to go save their kids from a homicidal maniac. Here's my solution. Take the top 25% of the entire IDPA (and equivalent) membership, send them to a six-week summer school to give them the basics on how to teach, and swap them for every damned teacher, "Resource Officer" and school district police department in the nation. Both education and safety would be improved, and my guess is that there would be far less grooming too! Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

Not "I am not and have never been a communist", because many ARE communists. But an oath that they will not groom or inject Woke ideology into kids ... and probably some other basic loyalties that we should expect of every teacher. Posted by: illiniwek at June 05, 2022 12:11 PM (Cus5s) 16
One infuriating Uvalde disconnect is that politicians seeking to use the school shootings to argue about gun control instead of cowardly police malfeasance.

The proper response by Uvalde now - and I don't know if this will happen, but it should happen - is that the Uvalde City Police Dep't should be disbanded, completely, and the Uvalde County Sherriff's Dep't should be expanded to take over the duties. Those members of the city police who were not involved in this can be transferred to the Sherriff's Dep't with seniority intact. But a large, public price must be paid.

Case in point, I got suspended when I was in second grade. The Principal called my mother at work to come and pick me up. She marched me back into the Principal's office and told him that suspension was what I wanted to avoid school, that instead, he should spank me and send a note hometo my parents so they also could "explain" the error of my ways. And I also remember in high school, if a male student got too smart with a male teacher, the teacher would jack him up against the wall and straighten them out. But then, most of the male teachers were vets of WWII and the Korean War. They didn't put up with any shit from their students and had the backing of the parents, for the most part. When government employees are subject to the expectations, responsibility and consequences that those in the private sector are subject to, I'll respect them more. When they start treating the public like customers whose confidence they need to maintain instead of subjects they can treat any way they want, I'll respect them more. When they start treating the public purse as something precious and delicate instead of an infinitely expanding sack of cash, I'll respect them more. No doubt many public employees do. Unfortunately, I rarely run across them. In fairness, I did come across one recently. I was trying to resurrect my sole-owner LLC with which I had done nothing since I established it. I spoke to a lady in the TX Comptroller's office who walked me through what papers I needed to fill out for what years and how much I had to pay ($100). What if, similar to how criminals target gun-free zones to commit their crimes, school shooters are targeting schools in districts with weak, incompetent police forces? I don't believe it has been a coincidence that both Parkland and now Uvalde have had the same weak, incompetent responses for their local police forces. And I don't believe every local police force in the country is as incompetent as those two. Or, is it a case of the conspiracy theory I read last week that the school district uses an AI company specifically focused on preventing school shootings and they needed a school shooting to happen in order to sell their services. https://bit.ly/3t3RGDM Posted by: Clyde Shelton at June 05, 2022 12:38 PM (Do5/p) 70

Our research indicates a distinct lack of support for brainwashing students on important issues like queerness, socialism, and encouraging racial discrimination among IDPA members, so that's going to be a problem. Posted by: Teachers' Union Leadership at June 05, 2022 12:42 PM (g2geH) 78

Barney Fife may have been somewhat of a chicken. But I can't think of a single episode where he was scared that he didn't despite his fears, rise to the occasion. Now Andy might have been in the background, unseen by Barney, making sure he was safe. But at the time, Barney did not know that. And still he faced his fears. If you have to threaten a woman with a probation violation to keep her mouth shut about what happened there, you need to take a hard look in the mirror and ask yourself why the actual fvck you felt compelled to threaten her with jail time. Maybe, just maybe it means you are a coward and you had to threaten her because she had more balls than you do.

Said before the Leftists system starting at their Marxists Seminaries they are setting up the potential situation of mental breakdown and that's all they need to do. By my reading that's their goal, they also help by letting criminals off with no punishment or letting them out long before they should be.
Posted by: Skip at June 05, 2022 12:40 PM Yep, you take a look at the high crime and murder in cities like Chicago, Philly, NY, DC, Baltimore, Los Angeles, etc and they have, I think, two major things in common: (1) strict "gun-control" laws (2) lack of prosecution of pretty much any crime at all, even gun crimes. So you end up with the work of police officers actually enforcing the laws going for naught when the local DAs refuse to prosecute. A lot of police forces are the problem, but the root of the problem goes back to George Soros buying the elections of soft on crime District Attorneys all across the country. Lack of law enforcement - i.e. prosecution of crimes and putting criminals in prison - is the issue. Won't matter if police officers do their jobs or not if those they arrest are not prosecuted and punished. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at June 05, 2022 12:49 PM (Do5/p) 96

Posted by: Tom Servo at June 05, 2022 12:48 PM Yep, and why is that? Because the good cops have all quit or retired. Because they recognized their jobs are completely useless. Because George Soros and BLM District Attorneys and BLM-supporting Mayors and Governors refuse to enforce laws and prosecute criminals. Remember "space to destroy". This is the result of not standing up to BLM and instead allowing it to control the nation's culture. This is the result of pushing good cops to quit and retire because the culture of law enforcement is now to not enforce the laws or prosecute crime. And the irony is that the Left is getting the exact response from the Right they wanted: anti-police sentiment. When the response should be the exact opposite. Improve the nation's police force (fire the lazy asses, hire back the ones who do their jobs) and improve enforcement of laws for all crimes (actually prosecute criminals arrested by good cops). Posted by: Clyde Shelton at June 05, 2022 12:56 PM (Do5/p) 106
Not defending the police at all, obviously their response here was disgraceful, but I think our problems go a lot deeper than cops. We've created a sick society where deviant behavior isn't just tolerated its celebrated and if you push back you risk being cancelled.
This town is not far from the Mexican border and look at what our alleged government is doing there. When a few BP officers on horses tried to stop people from rushing the border they were publicly excoriated and compared to slavers and were threatened with job loss and prosecution. For enforcing the damn law. This kid never should have been allowed in school, he was clearly deranged. His mother's first reaction when hearing about the shooting was "he must have had a reason". Are you fucking kidding me? As a society we have lost our collective minds and we are allowing laws to be broken with impunity. Ask BLM and antifa. The culture is rotten and has been rotten for decades. To me Chauvin effect isn’t just race. It’s the potential for anything to go wrong. In a school situation the most obvious is you get into a shootout and you kill a kind or teacher. And you spend the next 50 years in prison for it. The atmosphere today is anything other than perfect textbook behavior by the police leads to problems. And so the default position is do nothing because that will lead to the least amount of problems.

Was America not sufficiently servile for the police to do their job 4 years ago too? Posted by: bear with asymmetrical balls at June 05, 2022 02:03 PM (KFhLj) 252
Post Chauvin, no cop is risking his life or the potential for a life in prison for an ungrateful public.
Posted by: Joe XiDen at June 05, 2022 01:50 PM (3vQN0) Yeah Chauvin got shafted by the system but he's part of the system, or was. That whole arrest scenario highlighted to me how absurd the whole police system has got. You got Floyd dead to rights passing counterfeit bills, force him in the back seat, shut the door and take him to the station. Instead they all looked around wondering how to play it, out in the public eye for 45 minutes. They just showed the world how indecisive and stupid they are. Yes in 2018 BLM had been in full force as well. You proved my point.

I would wager the majority of law enforcement is simply traffic enforcement.

>Too much Hollywood. This isn't a bank job with an armored vault and a negotiated demand for an airplane ride to the Caymans. ---- In the TV series Dinosaurs, when the Baby was being held hostage by 'the Food' in the fridge, the ransom demand by the Food spokesmorsel was "We want 30,000 helicopters and a dollar!" DeShanwy v. Winnebago County was handed down in 1989. That'd be one of the Supreme Court decisions holding cops have no duty to protect citizens. So the phenomenon of cops not doing their jobs goes way, way back in time. Long before BLM. Town of Castle Rock v. Gonzales was in 2005. Again, way before BLM. The idea that cops were stand-up guys until America hurt their feelings and became insufficiently respectful is cop propaganda. They've always sucked.

Posted by: Joe XiDen at June 05, 2022 02:07 PM (3vQN0) Then what's the point of having them? Conservatives need to wrap their mind around the fact that most police departments are a money suck hole overstaffed with cops that don't do anything but target citizens that won't be much of a risk. Posted by: lowandslow at June 05, 2022 02:19 PM (qH6FZ) 265
Then what's the point of having them? In Heritage America the point of the police was to protect property rights and enforce the laws specifically so the citizens would not have to. The left sees that as...racist. And sexist. And homophobic. And on and on. So they are attempting to reform the police as an organization that won't do that but will instead enforce the dictates of the state. And just like in the Soviet Union, traditional crime enforcement will take a back seat to ideological enforcement, because street criminals are at worst a nuisance, at best a tool, for advancing the narrative. In some places they've succeeded fully, in many more places they've had some impact. And the problem, as always, is some individual cops resist...but they are facing a collective. Want to stop this? Then you need an organized movement. Which we do not have. Posted by: 18-1 at June 05, 2022 02:24 PM (ESjRY) 266
I should clarify Castle Rock (2005) is the decision specifically about cops. It builds on DeShaney (1989) which involves CPS or some similar agency.
Posted by: bear with asymmetrical balls at June 05, 2022 02:30 PM (KFhLj) 267
I have no idea why someone who argues cops won't act because of a singularity won't accept they might just not act, owing to the general law of self preservation. Your inference that somehow I am unqualified to offer the second point is indicative of very poor logic skills.

The fun question: where was Ramos born? Reports say he was from North Dakota, but then they also say that terrorist shooter Mohammed M. Mohammed was from Oxnard.
Memo to MSM: when we ask where someone is from, we don't want to know where someone lived most recently. We want to know his background. For my part, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that young Ramos was an illegal alien, or the son of illegal aliens. Especially when he was living within spitting distance of the southern border. not the only ones. bureaucrats in the Texas prison system neglected to notify county residents that a murderer they were transporting got loose. as a result, a person I know had her brother's son and his grandkids MURDERED.

I have read Ace of Spades for many years. I'm from Uvalde. I know many of the people involved. I didn't know the shooter. There is no way the cops are "deep state."
Many people in the majority Hispanic city have been very critical of the police there going back a long time. Most of this criticism is irrational. The criticism comes from an anti-cop attitude. Now these folks have an international media megaphone. The woman said that the police freed her after the Marshals handcuffed her. (US Marshals who have a presence at the county jail.) I completely agree she should not have been handcuffed. Keep this in mind. No local law enforcement agency (Uvalde PD, Uvalde CISD, Uvalde SO) has issued any official statement defending what they did. They are cooperating with the investigation in full and they will let investigation reports speak. I'm really disappointed in the emotional rant by CBD. I would hate to see AoS slip. Posted by: Ace Reader from Uvalde at June 05, 2022 03:13 PM (tQxKy) 274
I don't care much about an investigation.
Cops stood around for an hour waiting for the dying kids to stop screaming because they were afraid they might get shot at. The police spokesman stated that plainly. Police officers went and removed THEIR children from the school while tasering parents and standing off against them while they pleaded for the cops to do something to help the children, and if they wouldn't then to please let the parents. The police spokesman stated that plainly. Someone with balls had to leave a barbershop with a borrowed shotgun to end it after an hour of both local and federal LEOs doing nothing but listening to the dying screams of children. Who are you going to believe, them or your lying eyes? Posted by: Moron Robbie - the CEO of Moderna acknowledged the presence of patented sequence in Covid-19 at June 05, 2022 03:22 PM (MIDoM) 275
There is a lot of misinformation going around and if you want the facts like I do and not a lot of media rumors and gossip we are both going to have to wait for the investigation reports to be completed and released.
Posted by: Ace Reader from Uvalde at June 05, 2022 03:35 PM (tQxKy) 276
Or you can watch the interview with lieutenant Estrada and iirc the chief.
Estrada clearly states that officers removed their children from the school during the shooting. Another lieutenant stated this. Again, very clearly: "At that point, if they proceeded further without knowing where this suspect was at, they could have been shot, they could have been killed." They could have been shot while trying to save those dying children, you know. "6 I still can't wrap my head around the fact that NOT ONE of them had the balls to say, f*ck this, I'm going in."
I wasn't there so I don't know anything but I shoot with a team. One guy going into that room is not a plan. They needed at least three people, four would be better. So, now you need four people to say "F*ck it!" and the they have to know how to shoot, move, and communicate AS A TEAM. And if everything doesn't turn out perfectly ... if those heroes weren't following orders, then they will be fired, sued, charged with some crime, and probably jailed for not following orders. Every one of us allowed this situation to get this way. If you don't like the liberal "Just Do Something!" shrieking, this is your "do something" moment. If you don't like it then YOU do something. Run for office. Canvas your neighbors so that they vote to change this situation. Contribute money. Read about and talk to your representatives before you vote for them. Write letters to your representatives. Protest. Train yourself. Talk is cheap and mostly ineffective. If you want things to change then get off your ass. The blog "The New Neo" has a ton of careful information on this and is not jumping to conclusions.
Long discussion about why the door was unlocked. Timing. Latest is that it was about five minutes between Ramos' first shots--which would make him a shooter worthy of police attention--and the time he was in a classroom behind a steel door killing kids. No time for cops to get there and go in hard before he was protected by a door which would need some professional breaching, or somebody finding somebody with the master key. IOW, Ramos was not wandering the halls making himself a target for the first cop who showed up. I get displacement. Ramos is dead and thence not a target for grief and anger, which has to go someplace. Someplace else. So we are treated to endless stories of cop fuckups which, even if true, do not apply to a steel door. From the surveillance--sound--most of the shooting, which is to say killing of the kids, happened quite early in the timing. There were no more left and Ramos wasn't coming out looking for more targets. It was static until they could get the door open. The Uvalde police just don't seem to know when to stop digging. This will eventually end all of their law enforcement careers. If they don't slow it down, it might even put some of them in prison.
