The Morning Report - 5/24/22

ronklainslut.jpg

GRIM MILESTONE INDICATOR:

GASOLINE: $4.598 (2018: $2.74)

DIESEL: $5.571 (2018: $3.00)

MILK: $4.03 (2018: $2.45)

MEAN TWEETS: n/a (2018: $ !%#*%!!!)

Good morning, kids. In the immortal words of Jerry Colonna, "Ah! Something new has been added!" Yes, in the spirit of today's "journalism" or as I sometimes refer to it, "charnel-ism," I think it only appropriate that we dust off the grim milestone indicator, made famous during the War on Terror (though to this day, in spite of being quite proficient in geography, I still can't find Terror on my light-up Replogle globe) and repurpose it. I do not mean to diminish or make light of our servicemen and women who sacrificed their lives. 20 years later, I've come to the awful realization that their lives were indeed sacrificed by the criminals in Congress to keep their shares of Raytheon and General Dynamics fat and happy. And if you think those companies won't somehow find a way to sell the Taliban replacement parts for the $80 billion in military hardware Biden effectively gave them by bugging out of Afghanistan, I have a bridge over the East River I can let you have cheap. But you might not want to ride the Q train over it lest you get shot to death by a criminal whose melanin content and last name should not be mentioned. But I digress.

Psaki-Psircling back and speaking of Iraq, I'm sure we all remember Baghdad Bob, the irritating douchebag draped in surplus olive drab Idi Amin battle dress, who kept assuring the world that the US military was on the verge of being wiped out, even as 155mm rounds were dropping just off camera. I give you none other than America's answer to Baghdad Bob – "Bad Gag Ron."

White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain tweeted out a running list of bad poll numbers for [so-called quote-unquote "president"] Joe Biden and claimed it’s actually good news.

Klein [sic] retweeted late Sunday a tweet from Axios laying out the recent findings from a CBS News poll. The poll was conducted between May 18-20 among 2,041 adults. The poll had a +- 2.5 percentage point margin of error.
“Tough Biden poll from CBS News,” Axios wrote.

The tweet noted that among those polled, 69% said the economy is “bad,” 65% said Biden has been “slow to react” in moments of crisis and 63% said the state of the nation is “uneasy” and “worrying.”

But Klain said the “narrative” is actually incorrect.

“I hate to spoil the narrative but this poll shows @potus approval rating moving up, and solid public confidence on the two biggest problems he inherited: COVID and jobs.”

Yeah, that approval rating is going way up, Ron! And blaming Trump for Chinese COVID and jobs is just laughable in the extreme. Biden promised to end the pandemic and along with surpassing the death toll during Trump's first term (and I have serious doubts about those numbers anyway), gave America a giant Ministry of Truth-serum enema, now fortified with monkey pox! Well, to be fair, Biden did solve the jobs "problem." He killed off millions of jobs, including those for blacks, minorities and women that Trump made possible in the greatest numbers ever. Considering Klain and his Kalorama Komintern are hell bent on destroying our economy, record numbers of people employed and off the dole is indeed a huge problem. Especially when the aforementioned groups are your traditional core voting blocs.

So, given that this is a primary election day in several states, with what are surely bellwether races in Georgia for governor and the senate, an abused and put-upon electorate heads to the polls. In that light, and in light of Bad Gag Ron, I give you this story of where the Democrat Party is headed and where they are hell bent on taking all of us.

Washington Democratic congressional candidate Rebecca Parson has a bold idea to get Congress to pass housing legislation: have a million people break into empty houses.

Parson, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, is running to represent Washington’s 6th Congressional District. In a video ad, she outlined what she and her followers can do if she wins.

“Imagine I proposed a Housing for All Bill in Congress, Then imagine you, me, and a million of our friends took action and occupied empty houses nationwide. They couldn’t ignore us,” Parson says in the ad.

“No one has ever done anything like this,” Parson continues. “That’s why it’s going to work.”

Oh yeah, that'll work out just fine! And if the houses aren't empty, I'm sure the "million of our friends" will eagerly empty the houses of the "white supremacists" and "insurrectionists" otherwise known as owners. "For the people!" you understand. I dare not bring up the movie Dr. Zhivago since Putin = Evil and as we all know Putin = Trump. But grant me dispensation when I recall the scene where Ralph Richardson protests the occupation of his home by several dozen people at the orders of the local commissar who claims it's for the people.

"Well, I'm one of the people!" he remonstrated. Except he wasn't. Just like all of us. We are being, what's the word? "REPLACED." And we will like it, or else.

41 On Sunday, Dr. Ashish Jha, the White House [Chinese] Coronavirus Response Coordinator, claimed on ABC’s This Week that the White House anticipates a surge of [Chinese] COVID-19 cases this fall and winter."

I said it yesterday, and I stand by it: At some point, the admin will try mandated masks and lockdowns in the bluest of blue states, just to judge any potential blowback. And when there is none, they will move on to nationwide lockdowns and mandates ahead of mail-in voting, all the while bragging that "no disease can stop our democracy from its sacred task in November."

And those of you in red states who tell me, "we are DONE with COVID here". . .I'm going to bet that unless you live in Florida, your governor will go right along with the nonsense and your "DONE" fellow citizens will happily strap on the Mask of Cain again.

48 “I identify as bisexual and I wanted him [Chappelle] to know what he said was triggering.”

Honestly, this is why a bunch of people (who know what "triggering" actually means in a mental-health context) got so frustrated at whiney Millennials and Zoomers claiming that topics they found uncomfortable were "triggering" over 10 years ago.

"Triggering" means... well, a trigger - a thing that causes you to engage in irrational behavior. In therapy circles, therapists talk about "managing your triggers" (or, as gun folks would say: having good trigger discipline). EVENTUALLY you have to get to where your "trigger" doesn't cause irrational behavior - you have coping mechanisms in place. Until then, you need to mostly avoid them and reintroduce yourself to them slowly and carefully.

These weak, pathetic idiots took that, and thought, "How neat! An excuse to behave however the f*ck I want when someone says something I disagree with!" and *boom* "Trigger Warning" is suddenly everywhere.

County property taxes have already been doing this since forever. 56 ...when its over well be stronger, and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over.

How? How will we be less reliant on fossil fuels, you concussed turnip? Were you planning on forcing us all to use glass containers from now on? How were you going to melt the sand for the glass, by the way?

What world do you live on? Is the sky pretty there?

Oil, coal, and natural gas run the entire f-ing world, have for centuries (coal and nat gas in various forms, anyway), and are used in various ways in literally everything you do in life except *maybe* sleep. But probably not even that.

Even with "electric vehicles" you're only putting the problem one step further away (which, per the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics means you're actually introducing *more* waste into the system).

You cannot physically make enough solar plants and wind farms to provide electricity for the United States, let alone the world, and even if you could you *must* have a reliable backup for when a peak period coincides with a still, cloudy day.

As long as the government keeps spending on things that are none of its business, taxes will keep rising out of all proportion to what should be considered "reasonable."

And since no one - not even Ronaldus Magnus nor The Great MAGA King - has the guts and clout to kill both, neither will ever die until the music stops.

You'd have to cut basically all entitlements, almost all foreign aid, and even a lot of domestic discretionary spending to get the Federal budget down where we could cut taxes to where they should really be (10% or less). State and Local governments face similar problems (though smaller in absolute scope).

Apparently. That nice two million dollar lake home, while the owners are 90 minutes away in the city working their asses off to afford that weekend/summer retreat? Yeah, go move yourself into that and empty the wet bar with your deadbeat hoodlum friends. Sleep on the beds, trash their furniture, rack up utility bills and ignore the landscapers as they keep the property from falling into disrepair.

I'm sure the neighbors will go for your drug addict friends getting high and crashing the boat, making racket all night and using the property for a flop house.

At least retired wet operators have a thriving business model to look forward to.

I'm sure he wouldn't just sit on the problem or blow it off. He would bend over backwards (or forward) to get to the bottom of it. Pete would certainly do a deep dive to explore the root causes of the crisis and work long and hard to fix it.
Of course, we'll have to wait until he returns from maternity leave.

No, no, I can't go live in Detroit! Have you *seen* that place? No, you should make $60,000 homes magically appear in Dallas, TX or Miami, FL. You know, where I want to live.

Washington Democratic congressional candidate Rebecca Parson has absolutely no idea on the costs and responsibilities in home ownership. Even when 'W' pushed that insane idea of backstopping banks with their Liar Loan portfolio to allow welfare deadbeats, goldbricks, illegal aliens, drug addicts and the perpetually sloven and unemployed to "own a home".

Even though payments were missed, insurance canceled, property never maintained, utility bills ignored, politicians learned nothing until the banking system collapsed and had to be rescued by the likes of Warren Buffet and Recession.

Well, you semi-intelligent rutabaga, that's because owning a home is way more expensive than you think, and you're *not* paying (not by yourself, anyway) for things like repairs and maintenance, and so forth. At one point, I could stand in the basement, looking upward and see absolutely nothing except the four vertical walls of the perimeter, and sky where the roof was no longer there.

Almost 200K worth of renovation, much of it through grants, and she would up with a beautiful home.
Unfortunately most of the work was substandard, and the home is now almost uninhabitable.

I used to be offended at the Pride Flag, but I realized it serves as a teaching device to reinforce the Doctrines of Grace when evangelizing.

The Sodomy flag has six stripes - six, being the number of man and six is used repeatedly as a reminder that man will never measure up to the standards of God.

The "rainbow", at least as it is represented and taught by Christians is seven colors because that is sort of how the elementary school description of the rainbow worked out, but that seven is a Godly number and represents completeness.

The origin of the rainbow is the aftermath of Gods Holy Wrath against a wicked and evil generation, and his promise to not wipe out the next batch of reprobates with a flood (yet we soon learn will be by fire).

The sermon sort of writes itself at this point.

How about we send the illegals home and put a 20 year ban on immigration? That would resolve the housing problem IMMEDIATELY and for a generation.

109 24 I have a suspicion Blackrock, who probably owns a lot of those "unoccupied" homes might have something to say to Mz. Parsons about her plan.
______________

What happens after those million deadbeats and druggies and mental cases get into the million empty houses?

Are these people suddenly going to be transformed into responsible homeowners? Are they going to stop being mentally ill, stop being drugged up losers, stop being the financially irresponsible or unlucky people who couldn't manage to stay in the homes they once had?

Is a magic fairy going to wave a wand her wand and turn these million people into people who spend responsibly, save money, pay their bills (utlity bills, repair bills, property tax bills, etc.), or does the brilliant congresswoman have another plan to "liberate" an unending stream of funds to pay for all the housing-related expenses these new homeowners are going to incur?

Giving people "free" homes won't solve the problem of homelessness, any more than giving people "free" money has solved the problem of poverty.

On the other hand, they have to bamboozle enough people to think it's good that they have dwindling money, dwindling standard of living, dwindling prospects, dwindling way of life in general. Tough balancing act, but they think they can pull it off. We've always said that things are going to have to get really unpleasant for people to wake up to just what it is they vote for. We've arrived at that time. Time will tell if the communists' gamble will be successful, but I say no. 1. Kill 90% of the population.
2. Put solar panels everywhere that the important people don't care about.

Oh, sure, they'd even fuck that up since none of them would want to install the panels, or the lines, or maintain them...but it could be done.

146 B) Teeter totters are mostly not allowed on playgrounds anymore, because "someone might get hurt!" they were actually fun.

The popular image of the use of a teeter-totter mostly reinforced by television and movies is not how those devices were used In Real Life.

Mostly kids would run up and down from one side to the other and learn critical macro movement skills like balance and agility as the center of gravity would keep shifting as kids used it as a moving balance beam.

Can't have kids develop physical skills these days. Keep them on their butts so that the diabetes can set in early.

148 I've found even most LIVs understand what inflation is...that if you just throw more money into the economy without increasing production that you just lower the value of the money in the economy

The problem, in my experience, is that they have very poor pattern recognition skills. So you can point out how a *specific* policy is bad, but they can never extrapolate to see why the next one would also be bad.

And, more and more, there are people (who, yes, can vote) who *don't* believe that inflation is the natural consequence of there being too much money floating around the economy. They don't realize (or don't believe) that the Law of Supply and Demand is just as binding on the monetary supply as it is anything else. So inflation, too, is "caused by the capitalists."

It's not that money is worth less and the producers are having to pay more to get less product - and then are passing that cost on to you - it's that they know there's more money and they're greedy, so they just "jack up prices" because "they can."

Yep. That's in the Queue of Big Evils now, too. The fact that your suburb is set up mainly to cater to automobile traffic (because most people who live there don't work there) is a Capitalist Conspiracy, too - to force you to buy a car.

So all settlements no matter their size and population - from a little village of 300 people to a massive city of 1.2 million - should all be laid out exactly the same way with "multi-use buildings" and forcing everyone to live in little 500 sq ft appartments.

Because "freedom" these days doesn't mean "I'm in charge of my own destiny and can take risks - and reap the rewards - based on my own values and desires." No, "freedom" now means not having to do work that other people actually value and not having to be responsible for yourself.

I blame the Federal government and the schools. Any 18 year old kid can get $200,000 in student loans and not even graduate, but they can't go to a bank and borrow $10,000 to start a business.

The Fed saw all of that interest income that banks were making from student loans and they wanted a piece of that action so they took over forcing private banks out of the student loan business, private banks that would not loan an 18 year old 200K for a useless degree.

176 I was amused by the State Farm "diversity officer's" response to the uproar over the kiddie tranny books yesterday.

He said the company was just trying to promote "inclusivity."

LOL, funny isn't it, how "inclusivity" only ever includes one point of view, and that is the left's point of view. Convenient how that works out, isn't it?

I looked up the three kids books that State Farm was pushing on school kids. Probably won't surprise you to learn that the books were written by "transgender" and "non-binary" people, and that they were telling kids that the gender "choices" they made were the only way to live a happy and authentic life.

Oddly, there was nothing in the books that exposed kids to any other point of view. The leftist point of view, that many kids are born in the "wrong" bodies and need to surgically mutilate their bodies and pump them full of drugs in order to live as their "true" and "authentic" selves, was presented as the only correct point of view.

It would be interesting if somebody were to ask one of these "diversity officers" why, if they're so dedicated to inclusivity, they never actually include anybody with a non-leftist point of view.

They spent lavishly; a nice hotel to stay in for 9 months and meals paid for while they were supposed to get their lives together. At the end of 9 months, 8 of them had actually cleaned up and found some place to go to. Another 10 or so we're tossed out for drugs and other lawbreaking; and the rest were still just sitting in the free hotel doing nothing.

End result of several million dollars spent by apple on helping the homeless: only 8 people were actually helped.

"Working towards global decarbonisation is imperative. And there is good evidence to suggest great opportunity exists in the transition to a low carbon economy, if handled correctly. Job creation, productivity enhancements, and reducing inequality are all possible. But without considering the challenges and risk to communities, workers and people, these opportunities may never be realised.

In our new report, The Just Way: The case for a Just Climate Transition, we aim to address these issues by examining the makeup of the global economy and the impacts decarbonisation may have on various industries and their employees. We advocate for a 'Just Transition' that is as fair and inclusive as possible as the world decarbonises."

When we moved from Connecticut to Kentucky we had to pay a southbound premium for a uhaul trailer. IIRC it was $75. The rental guy said it was because they had to hire trucks to go south to pickup trailers and bring them back because no one was moving from the South to the northeast.

Another word that has been completely removed from its original meaning. The Left absolutely loves destroying everything - and that includes simple communication such where words are now just emotional triggers and sounds we make that are one step above vocalizations and tree scrapings.

"Inclusivity" is a synonym for "Enticing the Holy Wrath of an Almighty God". To be "inclusive" means that one is actively rebelling against God and Nature and seeking death and misery.

220 How did the NYPD identify Andrew Abdullah so quickly?

It begs the question, how could they figure out who he is and not identify other criminals just as quickly. I know a young man attacked by a gang (unmasked, most of them) while walking home in the west Village, a residential area, and he was in the hospital for nearly two months recovering. Those criminals are still at large, even though building security cameras caught the whole thing on tape. Abdullah was well masked and yet they identified him within two days.

Yesterday it was "Monkeypox isn't a gay disease, haters!!!" and the day before it was "There is no proof there is any connection whatsoever between monkeypox and banging men you don't know in feces filled orifices, and please stop being homophobic"

And now the top result is literally "CDC officials sound alarm for gay and bisexual men as monkeypox spreads in community"

Contrast all that with the buffoonish, despicable riot in the Capitol by an ad hoc group of crazies. It was labeled an “insurrection.” The media then systematically lied about the five deaths that occurred on January 6, creating fables about the tragic natural demise of Officer Brian Sicknick. It smothered mention of FBI informants in the crowds, hid information about the circumstances of the lethal shooting of Ashli Babbitt and smirked about suspects put in solitary confinement for months without being charged or tried.

362 What "empty" houses?

Are there a million "empty" houses to occupy in America right now? With the real estate market in literal shortage level crisis right now?

That's the issue here. They aren't going to occupy "empty" houses. They're going to claim they're empty, and the news media will complicitly report that they're empty, and the families that are displaced from these 'empty" houses that aren't actually empty are going to be branded "conspiracy theorists" and accused of being wealthy landlord wreckers, class traitors, and ignored as wealthy kulaks that deserve what they got.

The fact is, yes, i'ts very hard to get a house these days, and yes, that needs to be fixed. But the people that have a house aren't your enemy, folks. They're the ones that either got lucky, worked harder, learned a skill, or whatever, but it isn't like they were given the house for being white or something.

This "politics via envy and jealousy" thing never goes well. We'd do well to not listen to the people advocating for it. We'd also do well to try and fix the housing problem, because it's real and it's going to bite us in the ass.

363 I had someone give me shit about 6 months ago for having a "super nice mansion", which, yeah, my house is 2,250 square feet with formica countertops, so, not a mansion.

But what that person didn't realize is that I built it myself, in my free time, over about 3 years. I built everything. I only paid a roofer to roof it, because I hate heights and roofing, and a shetrocker to sheetrock it, because I hate sheetrocking. But electrical, plumbing, framing, foundation, siding, paint, decks, etc, I drove every nail myself.

You can play the envy game if you want, but if you're the type who refuses to drive a single nail because it's too much work, you don't get to tell me that I'm "lucky" or "privileged" because I have a house. I have a house because I worked my ass off and gave up three years of my free time to build the fucking thing. I also spent a lifetime developing the skills necessary to do it myself. So kiss my ass.

364 The monkey pox only requires 6 to 8 inches of separation for safety, right? Or pants.

366 honestly I'm shocked out how the McCormick team is acting. it's so blatant and such a clear confirmation of what people here say about the RINO Faction.

it's honestly scary. they will NOT accept a loss here. why?!!

********
Not a good look at all. Even the RNC is against it. Pulling this stunt will let the Dems do the same in November. Rules are there for a reason.
