5 Hi wolf.
Pity, just bite the bullet and move in.

7 It's not the moving in that presents the problem. I could move in tomorrow.

It's the moving out.

8 I didn't realize chatters here were such sleepy heads.

Posted by: willow at May 24, 2022 04:44 AM (tDvJD)

9 JQ commented in the last thread that the rescue shelter I'm looking at who has a cute fluffy black kitten for adoption: "If they can't reply to an email in a reasonable time, how can you be sure they're caring properly for the animals?"

Not to mention the byline on the email is "Ginger Lynn." I so wanted to say, "I enjoyed your pr0n work in the '80s. How's life going for you now?" But I didn't.

10 Pity I had 2 weeks to move out. I literally curbed most everything. Bought and moved into a place 2400 miles away 23 weeks later. Exhausted for sure and no water yet .

Whew. I thought you had 6 months to do the move!

14 Wolf that might have been a lot easier!

15 I shaved last night to save time this morning, but had plenty of time anyhow. Almost time for the shower and then breakfast. A couple of comments here yesterday got me thinking about a new story idea, and I want to get to work and make some notes before I actually have to, yanno, work.

16 I have found out ticks are prolific in tn.

17 Willow! My goodness, so nice to see you! I just got back from dropping a friend at the airport and looked in here before I climb back into bed. Glad I did!

Good luck with the move, Pixy!

19 Here's the kitten who's 3 hours' drive from me:

https://tinyurl.com/4z9kwvdp

"Bubbles," they tell me, is not her name but the name of her litter. Good thing, as that name would have to go. She is the last female kitten left from her litter. She has a sturdy look to her, and I love black cats anyway. Though the late Chekov's breeder has a black torbie who may grow to look very much like this one.

20 Thank you bluebell . Nice to see you here. If you can sleep you should although I'll be slightly jealous.

22 Well there are no guarantees on that, willow. Just hope.

You moved to TN? I was just there to weeks ago visiting my son. No tick bites happily.

I hope you and your family are well. We have missed you.

I'm willing to go to some lengths to adopt a cat who appeals to me, and who likes my company. But these rescue places are getting ridiculous. I was attracted to one black adult on Petfinder, and when I emailed, the people sent me a 4-page application. I said to myself, "I'm taking in a roommate and friend, not applying for an effin' job!"

When I adopted red tabby kitten Arizona from the local SPCA in '83, the whole process was done in 90 minutes -- and he and I were together for 16 years. Very little effort for a huge payoff.

32 Talked to neighbor about gas for the lawn mower and other gas driven things I have. I have a lithium power string trimmer that the battery is slowly dyeing. Only a coupe years old, new battery costs about 55 dollars. The older 2 cycle blower has been working for years and years. I guess the ball is rolling for all lawn equipment to be electric. Maybe sheep might be cheaper.

I propose we require all Asian leaders change their last names to "Cocksucka", so our Dear Leader doesn't have to think so hard.

I worry about him from time to time. He has so many burdens, like deciding which color crayon he will eat for breakfast.

PS It's hard to picture Pixy moving; a person of your stature should have designated minions for these sorts of tasks. Slave collars optional.

Literally how coal plants work.

We're closing ours and waving goodbye to our manufacturing and stability, while China and India are opening them like crazy. The world has more icky power plants, with no change to the environmental impact overall, and we give up our advantages.

Not to mention the byline on the email is "Ginger Lynn." I so wanted to say, "I enjoyed your pr0n work in the '80s. How's life going for you now?" But I didn't.

Many years ago, when women actually wanted to be near me, I briefly dated a young lady named "Ginger Love." And no, she was not a pro or a stripper.

Not then, at least.

I would think it would be better to have a 800 acre green space. Plants that can grow with minimal human interaction. Maybe they could engineer the plants to take in that nasty CO2 and return O2.

If the gubbmint would fund me I'm thinking I could come up with something in a few years.

111 Now Reps. Jerry Nadler and Carolyn Maloney are set to face off in a cross-Manhattan clash of the titans, thrust into the same district by a court-ordered redistricting plan.
Posted by: rhennigantx

I remember reading that Maloney's district was going to be Chelsea Clinton's first stepping stone. When Maloney retired, but I guess Maloney didn't get the memo to step aside for Webb's girl.

Ella Logan was in the original production of the 1947 musical Finian's Rainbow, introducing the song "How Are Things in Glocca Morra?"

And, as one might expect, the ratfuckers of the FBI hounded her for years as a Communist, though they never found any evidence of such.

Here she is on a 1954 Red Skelton show, singing "Look to the Rainbow:"

Not really. You don't have a "right" to use someone else's computer for free.

The problem is that at least Facebook, and allegedly Twitter, Google and AWS, have been given huge amounts of government money and/or are collaborating with government intelligence agencies to spy on those government's citizens. Fix _that_ problem.
