This is all intentional..

Complaint against Abbott and the factory was made in October of 21, FDA/CDC didn't get around to looking into it until February, they shut the plant down, Abbott did a review and cleanup and demonstrated that the complaints were not the fault of Abbott baby formula, The FDA/Administration, knew there were going to be shortages because Abbott supplies the majority of baby formula for the US, The FDA is slow walking clearing the plant.

Meanwhile unlimited formula for illegal aliens and for Americans?

What annoys me is that you can no longer buy pipe tobacco -- the real leaf, not those silly "cigars" -- at the convenience store or drugstore or grocery. I think I picked up the last pouch-in-a-box of Carter Hall in America at my grocery last year. There's not the huge market any more, I guess, and you can still get the classics like CH and Sir Walter Raleigh online; and pipe shops carry all sorts of tobacco. But it's sad when you'd discovered that you love these old classics, but you can't pick up a pouch anywhere.

159 Speaking of 'little things to do', modern home construction no longer seems to include a little feature known as a Plinth Block at the base of the interior door casings, and now just has casing going right down to the floor. No matter the price point of the home, this practice gives a less than finished look to the door frames, and we both hate the look.

Sooooo....I am making and installing 74 solid wood plinth blocks, lovingly cut from 2x4, and properly beveled to follow the diminishing thickness of the casing as it nears the edge of the door opening.

I figure 6 2x6's, at 7 bucks a piece will give me the correct number of blocks. and under $50.00 for the wood. Or...the local wood place can make them for me. At $12.89 EACH!.

It is practically socialized right now. Fascism is the Way To Go:

Through the power of passive investing, the "private sector" underwrites the operations and "owns" the business. The administrators of the operation are basically puppets of the regulators so government is indeed fully in charge.

When things go wrong, the politicians can always blame "capitalism", and lawyers can sue the business. In the meantime, there is a ton of lobbying money and sinecures as long as there is a facade of a free market.

So far they have come up to the Russian border, but have not crossed it. Some are thinking that Putin is going to unilaterally annex the occupied areas of Ukraine and then threaten to use nuclear weapons to prevent any attempt to retake them.

Russian sources today report that they are conducting an "orderly withdrawal" from the Kharkiv region (meaning that all remaining units are fleeing rapidly) The area around Izyum is going to be the next focus of operations for both sides.

From what I hear about the crowding and traffic there, that's about as fast as one can go!

I wasn't driving yet when the 55-mph limit was instituted -- so I don't recall. It was being enforced (as in tickets) when I began driving, and my Ford Maverick I think had a little square around the "55" mark on the speedometer. Or maybe that was other cars I rode in then. As a new driver, I thought 55 was pretty fast. When I started driving the courier van 2 years later, I did 70 wherever I could on the interstate, and realized how much quicker you could get somewhere (when the company paid for the gas, of course).

with constant CO2 emissions from many sources over the eons, why hasn't the earth's CO2 levels changed much? Because sea life uses CO2 to create calcium carbonate, CaCO3, for their structure, which then falls to the bottom. This eventually becomes limestone, of which there are many thousands of feet of deposits all around the world.

It's almost like the planet was built with a self-regulating C02 control system that keeps everything in balance.

Serbia has also done away with ALL Rona regulations: free living, free entry, no masks, no shots, no nothing. It's OVER.

The famed DeLorean of Back to the Future speedo went up to 85MPH too.

As I mentioned, I had the Z-28's speedo pegged many a time so I've no idea how fast I was really going. The only ticket I ever got in it was for a missing front license plate shortly after buying it. There was no bracket to mount it on so it was on the dash. Fucking VA state police Nazi gave me a rash of shit about it. And a ticket.

The fanatic Left has already abandoned the Constitution, reality, decency, science for Ruling Harder to get you to fall in line with their fantasy world.

I don't think you appreciate how incredibly complex the energy industry is and how entangled are investments and property rights.

For example, oil severance taxes play a very large role in the State government's income. Mineral rights and royalties from leases on private property. The property taxes on the land I sit on are paid directly by the oil that is being pumped around me. The lease arrangements with the original property owners is often tied up as collateral for loans or has been factored in as revenue streams to support other operations.

That is just the financial side. Nationalizing would collapse the banking industry due to the huge amount of money involved with every aspect of oil production and distribution.
