Despite Propaganda Media's Insistence That Inflation Is "Moderating," Producer Price Index Accelerates to 11%

These Ultra-MAGA numbers won't comply with the narrative!

Prices at the wholesale level accelerated further in April, part of a broader inflation problem persisting through the U.S. economy, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Thursday.

The producer price index, which tracks how much manufacturers get for products at their initial sale, rose 0.5% on the month and 11% from a year ago, a decrease from the record 11.5% in March that was revised upward 0.3 percentage points.

...

A separate economic report Thursday showed that jobless claims totaled 203,000 for the week ending May 7, an increase of 1,000 from the previous period. That was above the Dow Jones estimate for 194,000.

Meanwhile, Biden has fallen to a new low in job approval -- 34% -- in the latest Civiqs poll, with 55% disapproving.

Just for fun, I clicked the tab for young voters, aged 18-34, and found out that his approval rate with that cohort is... 27%. It's actually with 65+ voters that he manages his best showing, 41%.

Right-wing Ultra-MAGA propaganda sites are getting sick of Ice Cream Joe's endless excuses on inflation. Right-wing Ultra-MAGA propaganda websites like the Washington Post, for example:

Screenshot (2181).png

Right-wing Ultra-MAGA propaganda websites like Vox, for example:

Screenshot (2184).png

Biden's apologists and handlers and script-writers and puppeteers keep claiming that all this inflation is a natural consequence of re-opening -- that there was pent-up demand for goods and services, and when we re-opened (more than a year ago), this demand was unleashed and it drove up prices. And this has nothing to do with the Corn Pop Conquistador's Trillions in "stimulus" spending.

Okay. Well, if that's true, then it should be the case that the other Western countries, which did not enjoy President Fingerparty's trillions in "stimulus" overspending, should have seen the same levels of inflation upon re-opening.

Did they?

No.

They saw some inflation... but much, much, much lower levels of inflation.

Practically... no inflation, actually. Like the 2% inflation we aim for as nominal inflation.

Screenshot (2185).png

Their lower levels of inflation these eight wealthy western countries saw we can take to be the approximate levels of "natural" inflation due to re-opening. (Although I imagine these countries also overspent and caused their own excess inflation, too.)

Everything above that is due to Biden and the Woke Democrats.

Great thread by Eddie Zipperer of all the many, many things Biden has blamed Biden's inflation on instead of Joe Biden.

Biden's incoming Election Denialist Insurrectionist dum-dum spokesman Karine Jean-Pierre laughed when asked who in the Biden Administration was tasked with getting baby formula production back up and running. So they're really taking it very, very seriously.

Also, she didn't know the person in charge of this critical task. So again, she's very concerned.

Don't worry, though: The Very Online leftwing Twitter Activist Class of Dried-Up Bitter Hags says that inflation isn't real and that the baby formula shortage is no big deal because fertility is so lower class:

Screenshot (2186).png

Meanwhile: Let them eat avocado toast:

Maybe Biden should sic the FBI on these Ultra-MAGA right-wing propaganda outlets, like he sicced the FBI on Project Veritas:

Noting that partisans will continue to be partisan no matter what isn't that enlightening. When we talk about voters moving away from Biden, we're never talking about the core voting blocs, the ones who automatically vote D in every election because it's just part of their identity, it's about the mushy middle who have no allegiance to any party and just kind of vote based on gut feeling. The pocketbook voters, in a way.

Best case scenarios for partisans getting sick of their own side is not that they start voting for the other side, but that they don't vote. At a minimum, you would hope that they send less money to campaigns and volunteer less time, making the other side's get out the vote operations harder to maintain (as well as them needing to spend time on more reliable voters instead of persuadable moderates). W still had tens of millions of people in his corner at his lower point, too.

The AP Interview: US 'vulnerable' to COVID without new shots https://t.co/qnW8Rwtpm9

White House COVID-19 coordinator Dr. Ashish Jha issued a dire warning Thursday that the U.S. will be increasingly vulnerable to the coronavirus this fall and winter if Congress doesn't swiftly approve new funding for more vaccines and treatments.

In an Associated Press interview, Jha said Americans' immune protection from the virus is waning, the virus is adapting to be more contagious and booster doses for most people will be necessary - with the potential for enhanced protection from a new generation of shots.

His warning comes as the White House says there could be up to 100 million infections from the virus later this year - and as President Joe Biden somberly orders flags to half-staff to mark 1 million deaths.

Given human propensity for warfare, that's really kind of a nonsensical question that implies, without making the case, that pandemics cause wars.

Then, there's "follows". By how long? When has there been no war on the planet? What about wars the "follow" pandemics and famines?

But he got to experience the post war boom, and also he was 5 years older than the boomers so he never really to compete with them career wise . He was also a few steps ahead. And because in the late 30s and early 40s births were really low once the 50s and 60s hit, they practically ran the place with very little completion with each other.

Plus they were too old for Vietnam and too young for Korea.

The way I heard it, German Government sold Sarin to the Iraqis in the lead up to the Iran-Iraq war. The Germans also sold the Iranians chemical weapon gear about that time. Most of it was used then.
The Iraqis later used Sarin on the Kurds.

and of course there were no WMDs in Iraq. It would have begged the question as to how it got there in the first place.

Gulf War Syndrome is the same as HIV/AIDS and Ground Zero Syndrome.

If you die of TB and have HIV antibodies in your blood, you died of "AIDS". No antibodies you died of TB.

GWS, you die of cancer and were in the gulf during a specific time, you died of GWS. Be part of the same demographic and die of cancer but didn't serve there, you died of cancer. The death rate from cancer in Gulf War I/II vets is the same as in the demographic.

So many diseases that aren't really diseases but membership in certain yuge demographics with an artificial variable tacked on top.

609 Interestingly, most historians believe that the 14th century plague was the main reason the Magna Carta and other freedom movements like the reformation were even possible. Suddenly a smaller number of peasants had power they never had before because they were in higher demand and more desperately needed.
Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at May 12, 2022 05:24 PM (KZzsI)

Even for the current crop of historians, thats dumb. The Magna Carta was in 1215, so plagues a century later couldn't affect it, and it was a noble on king affair that had nothing to do with peasants.

The peasants did get a freer hand and some moved to towns in consequence but the reformation was more about the growth of an intellectual group not as tightly bound to religion and the closer links of communication and trade to allow them to compare notes.
