Lori Lightfoot Tells Alphabet Army They're In Physical Danger From Supreme Court, "Calls [Them] To Arms" to "Fight" Even As Antifa Black Bloc Terrorists Menace Justices

Criminal incitement.

Can I call conservatives to arms against the threat of Groot or would that be too dangerous?

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was slammed by critics Tuesday for issuing a "call to arms" against the US Supreme Court after news that Roe v. Wade might be overturned broke.

"To my friends in the LGBTQ+ community -- the Supreme Court is coming for us next. This moment has to be a call to arms," the Chicago mayor tweeted.

"We will not surrender our rights without a fight-- a fight to victory!"

Lightfoot's comment comes amid outrage from Democrats after the leak of a memo indicating the Supreme Court is poised to overturn the landmark abortion ruling.

During an interview with MSNBC, Lightfoot was asked to clarify her meaning of "call to arms."

"I think everybody who saw that draft opinion has gone through a range of different emotions," Lightfoot said.

"And that's why I'm calling upon fellow elected officials across the country, and particularly my fellow mayors to join me in making a pledge that we made today, which is a justice for all pledge. And fundamentally, it reaffirms Chicago as a welcoming city, a city that doesn't discriminate, and a city that's going to stand with women."

Several people have slammed Lightfoot's tweet saying that the tweet provoked violence as several Supreme Court Justices face protests outside of their homes.

Looks like the Alphabet Army heeded her call.

Lori Lightfoot has claimed that this will be "Summer of Joy" for Chicago. John Kass cruelly mocks this imbecility.

There are the birds of spring in your backyard, chirping of new life. And there are those birds of death you can hear in every neighborhood now as Chicago's summer heats up, as Chicago’s mayor, unhinged, demands her "Summer of Joy."

Summer of Joy? She thinks so. Chicago doesn’t think it will be all that joyful.

The songbirds, and cardinals and robins tell you about spring. But those birds of death? Years ago, you might have heard them when the weather warmed, at night, mostly on the South and West Sides. But now you hear the death birds in the morning and afternoon too, in the Loop, in upscale Lincoln Park, everywhere.

...

You don't need birds or weather forecasters to tell you that summer's here. Just think Chicago Fire Department paramedics on their back stoops, alone, staring out into the back alley with empty eyes.

What do they think about? The bodies taken away in Chicago’s River of Violence. The mothers screaming at the crime scenes. A little girl or little boy in the ambulance. That river is never ending. It sweeps the victims away. New victims are always falling into that river, and they too are swept away, the names of the dead forgotten.

As I type this, Dakotah Earley, the 23-year-old culinary student shot three times for his phone in Lincoln Park, was still clinging to life. That robbery gang roams through upscale Lincoln Park and other neighborhoods is reportedly thought by police to be involved in seven robberies over the past few days.

Content warning for that Lincoln Park shooting. Kass discussed this on the Megyn Kelly show; Lincoln Park is an upscale neighborhood where people are paying a lot of money to live in what was supposed to be bourgeois splendor. And now they're literally afraid to leave their homes at night -- and increasingly afraid to leave their homes in daylight as well.

But Groot is on the case. Not the case of Chicago being the murder capital of the United States. No, she can't be f***ed about that.

She's out of Chicago, as usual, down in Texas fundraising for the LGBT "Victory Fund," which I guess she was trying to pimp when she called the Alphabet Army to arms to shoot Supreme Court justices.

And she'll be raising money for her re-election, too.

Eyes on the prize, people. Eyes on the prize.

Meanwhile, everyone who can leave Chicago, is leaving Chicago.

Boeing last week made it official: Its Arlington, Virginia, campus will serve as its company headquarters. While that's good news for the Washington, D.C. region, it's more bad news for Chicago.

And this is how cities fail, and Chicago will fail. Cities have bad parts. In most cities, the bad parts are not everywhere (Philly is a notable exception). The way you maintain your city is to keep the bad parts from leaking over into the good parts. You might be able to sling drugs and shoot rival gangsters and knock over stores and houses for loot south of State Street, but you don't pull that shit outside of your areas. If you do, the law comes down like the hammer of G-d and that's that. This keeps the city functional, at least to a degree.

When the ghetto violence is allowed to leak out into the normal parts of the city - much less the tony parts of the city - is when people start fleeing and when you city fails.

I credit Koch to a certain extent. In 1977 he instituted the pooper scooper law and, though it was mocked at the time, it was the first "broken windows" law that 16 years later, Rudy would use con gusto to turn NYC into a fantastic place to live and work. Even if only for a mere 20 years.

But Koch rode the wave of the Reagan revolution and NYC benefitted from the overall booming Reagan economy starting in Koch's second term. He was smart enough not to fuck things up.

Roberts has a big problem, because I believe he has lost all respect from BOTH sides. The Public Enemy Trump must be done away with, and all of his foolish followers must either confess and be denounced or be re-educated for their thought crimes.
A new day in the People's Republic is coming, and under the wise leadership of Chairman Biden, it will get here, and there will be celebration everywhere, even in Chicago.

Two such examples are "Summer of Love" - which was used to describe widespread rioting taking place largely during summer months - and "Recovery Summer" - which was used to describe promised though absent economic recoveries.

Keeping in mind course materials and assignments, answer the following before turning your blue book.

Q. Between "Summer of Love" and "Recovery Summer," which is worse in specific urban cases? Support your argument.

Q. Between "Summer of Love" and "Recovery Summer," which is worse in the general national case? Support your argument.

On May 1, Mayday, there is ALWAYS a well attended "International Worker's Rights" March on 4th Ave. in the last several years, there have also been masked ANTIFA punks running around, smashing windows, setting fires and assaulting cops.

This year. It was completely peaceful.

Perhaps, here in Seattle, people are sick of the bs. I could be wrong and there's a fiery, destructive, out of control "mostly peaceful protest," this afternoon. But I don't think so. Daley managed to paper over the decay and keep the violence sequestered to the south and west sides, but I lived there in the 90's -- in some rough neighborhoods, out of financial necessity -- and it was always a killing field.

The fact that the crime has now spread to the enclaves of the limousine liberals who have kept the Dems in control of that city for a friggin' century is just poetic justice. The current situation was entirely predictable to anyone watching the game in Jackson Park or Englewood or basically any other neighborhood west of Western and south of Division.

427 Daley managed to paper over the decay and keep the violence sequestered to the south and west sides, but I lived there in the 90's -- in some rough neighborhoods, out of financial necessity -- and it was always a killing field.

Chicago in the 80s was pretty great if you stayed in the safe areas - much better than NYC at the time.

I live in the Seattle city limits and I work downtown.

-------------

I don't go downtown as often as nurse, but I don't see it. Rather I see a general defeatist attitude from the lefties that our current situation is just the way it's going to be, and adjust your life accordingly.
They didn't recall Kshama Sawant, lead communist of the City Council, a few months ago. Well, maybe the voters did, but the thousands of "late ballots" were found and she came from behind to keep her seat.
I think the Lefties are saddened that Seattle is Dying (TM-KOMOTV) and just accept it as inevitable. Nobody in power gives a crap about fixing it with proven methods.

Exactly my point. But several million people live outside those "safe areas," and the Dems running the city, and those who vote for them, have been perfectly content to let them get slaughtered by gang warfare and live in squalor, as long as the rich jagoffs in the Gold Coast and Lincoln Park remained secure in their walled gardens.

Screw the poor, amirite?
