As Threats to Kill Supreme Court Justices Increase, an Antifa-Style Group Publishes the Addresses of the Justices;
Jen Psaki and the Biden Administration Refuse to Condemn

As usual, the far left is using Twitter as its messaging board to plan its riots and violent attacks, and as usual, Twitter is doing nothing about it:

An Antifa-style group calling itself "Ruth Sent Us" published a map with GPS coordinates with pins at the locations of the conservative justices' houses.

This group advocates a "diversity of tactics." That's antifa's and BLM's (and all leftist "protest" groups') standard euphemism for violence.

Planned, premeditated violence is the "diverse tactic" which they cannot legally name but which they are suggesting with the phrase.

National Review reports:

In collaboration with Vigil for Democracy, Ruth Sent Us generated and posted a Google Maps graphic pinning what it claims are the home addresses of Justices Barrett, Kavanaugh, Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, and Roberts, where they presumably reside with their families. Vigil for Democracy titled the map, "Extremist Justices," adding, "Where the six Christian fundamentalist Justices issue their shadow docket rulings." The map has 3,185 views so far.


Well, just outside their houses, Ruth Sent Us says, so that's not the same as publishing their actual addresses.

Repeatedly asked to condemn the left's plan to intimidate -- or even kill -- the Supreme Court justices, Jen Psaki repeatedly refused:




As Sister Toldjah at Red State points out, actually the United States does have a position on picketing at judges' homes: and that policy is called Title 18, Section 1507 of the United States Code:

Whoever, with the intent of interfering with, obstructing, or impeding the administration of justice, or with the intent of influencing any judge, juror, witness, or court officer, in the discharge of his duty, pickets or parades in or near a building housing a court of the United States, or in or near a building or residence occupied or used by such judge, juror, witness, or court officer, or with such intent uses any sound-truck or similar device or resorts to any other demonstration in or near any such building or residence, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

Nothing in this section shall interfere with or prevent the exercise by any court of the United States of its power to punish for contempt.

The Biden Administration is encouraging violence against the Supreme Court even as they brand "this MAGA crowd" the "most extremist group in American history."

The opening statement addresses this.

He includes Charles Schumer's 2020 threat to Gorsuch and Kavanaugh that if they make conservative rulings, he and has mob will "make them pay."

Dictatorships often fall quickly when they fall, because there's a lot of rottenness built up in the system and it loses equilibrium at the slightest push and all comes apart.

It's far better not to step onto that path in the first place, but that's water over the dam.

That was a major blow, but not a killing blow. That made it clear that selective enforcement was very much a thing, and some people are above the law. That's bad and there's no turning back the clock.

That did leave the possibility open, however, that so long as you're not one of the anointed, that they will do the work and do a good job. The Trump years changed that, as did the Obama years to a lesser extent. That's when they started transparently fabricating evidence and engaging in open entrapment and where political motivation in *all* activities - not just in enforcement decisions - became impossible to dismiss.

499 NY's may issue law is at stake right now and will probably fall. Question is regarding the may issue nature which is the law in a small number of states.

A broad ruling would require something like strict scrutiny for any gun regulations. Under that, gun magazine limits, California's stupid microstamping, etc. would fall. If the state has the burden of proof to show that magazine limits, microstamping, etc. plus that the laws are narrowly tailored to address public safety, most gun law restrictions will fail.

If we were relying on Roberts to deliver a majority, it would be something incredibly narrow and basically meaningless. Essentially a slap on the wrist for NY to try again.

But if the Court is willing to slap down Roe hard like this (still a question) then I expect something bigger and more far reaching from a 5-4 majority.

It really is black and white that states can't have a "may issue" system for the right to bear arms. Almost like requiring a speech license.

I'm also confused. I know that in the PBS documentary he said he left the seminary and the church. But other sources say he came back later in life. His own limited discussions on the matter would indicate that he came back too. I don't fully know the answer.

I certainly don't think she would have joined Alito's majority (assuming it still exists), and I'm certainly not saying she wasn't rabidly pro-abortion, because we know that she was. But she was on record repeatedly about her dissatisfaction with the dubious legal reasoning and the obvious judicial overreach in Roe v. Wade.

Ruth would have voted with the other lefties to strike down the Mississippi abortion law at issue in Dobbs, there's no question about that. Whether she would have justified it using Roe and/or Casey, or made up her own EP argument, I can't say. Probably would have depended on how the other lefty judges were leaning.

A clerk would not necessarily know that. They are privvy to some, not all of the discussions between justices and a leftist clerk for someone like Sotomayor or Breyer would not have access to conversations about a final ruling by the majority. You might even see the decision handed down early because of it rather than waiting until the end of June.

The difference is that it was formatted as a Scotus final report would look like. This was more so that Justices could check cites, etc. and review caselaw for inclusion at a specific point of the decision. It was clearly not an initial draft.
