The Morning Report - 5/4/22

dandcdnc.jpg

Good morning, kids. Wednesday and on a hopeful note, from the Lost in the Sauce Dept., it looks like a MAGA wipeout in crucial Ohio and Indiana primary elections yesterday. Did the SCOTUS leak have any effect on that? If it did, judging from the results I don't think it was the intended reaction from the Democrats and their RINO remoras. The results are in the Politics section so scroll down and have at it.

Oh, yeah. Almost forgot. Looks like the "two weeks" is finally over. And Naomi Wolf has thoughts on that as well.

Psaki-Psircling back, there are a couple of things to keep in mind in the wake of yesterday's leak of Justice Alito's eloquent and brilliant defenestration of both Roe and Casey. First, the draft was from February so things might have changed in a subsequent draft, although if they had changed I would have thought that the latest draft would have been the one to leak. Second, the leak itself was the last dying desperate attempt by the Democrat-Left to stave off an electoral disaster this coming November and in 2024 because of the absolute societal disaster they have inflicted on us since installing Barack Obama for a third term via the stolen 2020 election. Of course, the Department of Internal Security's new Ministry of Truth, on top of the DOJ's mission to harass, intimidate and prosecute political dissent wherever they can root it out means that Obama is now looking to be President for Life of the United Socialist States of America.

While I will not as yet invoke the immortal words of Rush Limbaugh of blessed memory when he said "Do not doubt me," like him, I'm trying to "read the seams on the fastball" and as of right now, that prognostication of the bastard son of Stalinist Frank Marshall Davis cannot be discounted out of hand. Funny, I always thought Obama was someone else's puppet, whether Bill Ayers or David Axelrod or even Nazi collaborator George Soros. I didn't think he had the brain capacity to be running the show from the Kalorama Komintern Kontrol room, but for sure he is in the mix.

In any case, on top of his latest disgusting remarks about freedom of speech in the wake of Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter, the jug-eared Hawaiian stoner and his bearded wife have now released a communiqé telling the masses to "take to the streets" to protest the potential overturning of legalized human sacrifice. I assume that means "get in their faces" as he has declared in the past whenever anyone dare oppose him. The reactions to this are telling. Idiots from flatus-emitting Eric "Fang-Fang Bang-Bang" Swallell to Fauxcahontas Warren are spouting drivel that is completely removed from reality.

Said the Chinese spy-fucker (who, given he has the intellectual agility of a soap dish, was the fuck-ee):

“The Republicans won’t stop with banning abortion. They want to ban interracial marriage. Do you want to save that?” he wrote. “Well, then you should probably vote.”

Yes, I'm sure Clarence Thomas will be writing the majority opinion on that one, Eric. Truth is, this is not a matter for levity. Despite the fact that I do not think that this is going to save them come November, I think that what they really want is a repeat of the 2020 Summer of Love. Tough Love, where cities were burned to the ground at the behest and cheering of the Democrat Left, all as a means to gain power and instill fear in those who are not "down for the struggle," i.e. the absolute overthrow of America as founded.

For sure, the leak of the decision was meant to exhort the Democrat base but it was also meant to intimidate Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Coney-Barrett with a threat of physical violence on themselves and their families, and the threat of civil unrest. IIRC, and I'm too lazy to look it up now this close to post time, Justice Alito alluded to that latter point in his decision. Bravo for him.

I will state this for the record: The Democrat Party, its supporters and allies in and outside of government pose an existential threat to what is still the majority of people in this country. They have proven to be willing to stop at nothing to attain absolute power and completely destroy anyone who stands in their way. I don't need to list the litany of things that they have done since the Obama years and especially the Trump era. As CBD, Michael Walsh and I have stated unequivocally on the latest Cut Jib Newsletter Speaks! podcast, this attempted institution of an American "Ministry of Truth" to regulate speech and determine what is and what is not the truth is the absolute hill to die on.

They're on the run for sure, but there is nothing more dangerous than a cornered, rabid animal. And it is bearing its fangs at us right now. There can be no parlaying with this. There can be no regular order or civil discourse. Not that we reject it but because they do. They do not view us as "the loyal opposition." They view us as an evil that is to be eradicated in order for them to achieve the paradise on earth that we are depriving them of.

I do not advocate violence and I abhor it. But there is a blowtorch being pointed at us and I don't think it can be avoided. Listen to their words and then look at their deeds, not just over the past few years but over decades and centuries now. QED.

16 RE: The SCOTUS 'leak'

I think the decision has been made. Any retreat will seal the fate of the court, and particularly Traitor Roberts for what it really is...a malleable political tool of the democrats led by a feckless minion.

17 1) I hope that Roe really does get overturned. Whatever your position on abortion, it was a terribly reasoned and written decision; the Federal Government never had any business interjecting itself in the first place.

2) I do love how quickly the Left jumps to the "slippery slope" without any trace of self-awareness nor irony. Certainly, they have plenty of evidence to support the general idea that the slippery slope is not so much a logical fallacy and more of a "spoiler alert" - they provided it. However, the idea that anyone would "come after" interracial marriage, or *voting rights* or any of those things is... unhinged.

But, of course, I also reject the premise: there was no "established law." Yep. The entire argument for elective abortion has ALWAYS been predicated on the idea that what is growing in the woman's womb is *not* a human baby.

Because, if it *is* a human baby, then your "choice" is murder (well, at least: homicide, there are instances where it *might* be justified).

And his stupid statement that world religions have never been able to decide when life began... 1) what does that have to do with it? Separation of Church and State is their big thing, right? Second - he's lying, basically all world religions have understood that what is growing in his/her mother's womb is a LIVING human child. Third, science has settled the question quite well even if religion hasn't: it moves, grows, respires, and reproduces therefore it is alive. It has its own genetic code (to the point that sometimes its mother's body attempts to reject it and kill it) meaning it is *not* the mother's body anyway.

Ergo- unique human life from the moment of conception.

Democrats in the highest levels of our government are outright Moloch worshippers. I didn't think that ten years ago, but looking at the art on their walls and the altars on Epstein island, I'm certain they are. It's the only thing that explains their absolute, 100% devotion to abortion.

Local folks have been fooled into "reproductive rights" nonsense or some other bullsh*t, but when they vote for the big time leaders they're engaging in it unknowingly, too.

Abortion is too important to them for it to not have some sort of deep and meaningful sacrificial significance.

That would be an extremely unusual move, and extremely high risk. They might be planning or hoping for this, but I sort of doubt it. They turn on the riot machinery during presidential elections when voter turnout is much higher and when their core demographics are more inclined to go the polls. Playing that card during a midterm would be a significant departure. They're desperate enough to try it, but there are also risks. Voter turnout was extremely high on *both* sides in 2020, and the Summer of Love was a factor in that. If you want to rack up even more vote for Republicans, constant state-sanctioned rioting is a decent way to do that. If it doesn't also move more of their own people - and with the disaster of the last couple of years, it probably won't - it ends up being an own-goal.

I'm not so sure about that. The idea of protecting abortion has been losing electoral ground for a while now. So you'll get some states - TX, OK, FL all jump to mind, that will probably ban it outright except in cases of medical necessity. Then you'll get a bunch of states that adopt some of these extremely short timeframes (6 weeks).

Sure, California will still let you "abort" until the kid is 6 years old, and New York will still let you stab them as they're exiting the birth canal, but I think you'll find access much more limited.

Otherwise, they wouldn't care about it being overturned in the Supreme Court - if the electoral will were there to actively vote in favor of abortion, they wouldn't need (or want - for the reason we're seeing this week) a SCOTUS decision.

The NGOs will be running buses and charter flights to "help."

I think their bigger concern is twofold. First, they have pushed too far and harmed their own cause. In less than 25 years, we've gone from "safe, legal and rare" to "it's legal to murder toddlers." That has moved a lot of people from "abortion ambivalent" to the camp that there ought to be at least some kind of restrictions - and that's a slippery slope, too.

Second, a whole lot of extremely bad case law and astonishingly bad rulings are based on Roe as precedent. If Roe is overturned, then a bunch of stuff is suddenly open to reinterpretation - assuming the judiciary has any legitimacy, of course.

115 I hold that there will be no major riots this summer, nothing at all like 2019. I believe most people, even on our side, still do not understand what happened that summer - that is the key to understanding whether I not it will happen again.

I hold that the George Floyd Campaign and the Antifa violence (including Kenosha) were NOT any kind of "spontaneous violence" but rather were choreographed performances organized by the wealthy Left (ie, Soros and the oligarchs) in concert with the Clinton and Obama organizations. The purpose was not simply to create fear in the population; it was also an attempt to goad Trump into doing something for which he could be discredited (I believe they wanted him to order troops to respond); failing that at a bare minimum it was intended to show that he had Lost Control of the nation. (amazingly they failed in their true goals)

The reason it will not be repeated is because the financers and organizers know that the true purpose of these things is *always* to discredit and destabilize the current Administration. They may hate Republicans, but politically, any riots will show Biden and Kamala have lost control.

Posted by: Tom Servo at May 04, 2022 08:08 AM (r46W7)

116 let me just say, for a long time I have thought that radical feminists believe that all men are potential rapists who will force women to have babies and become dependent on the men to survive. This is why the radical feminists seem to think that abortion on demand at any time and at the gov't expense is so important.

someone tell Whoopie that no one wants to force her to have babies.

117 Why the Republican party needs to leave Trump, and those who think like him.

Trumps brand of Conservative(ish) Populism terrifies the Republican party - because the Republican party was once the Conservative(ish) Populist party. The Whigs got thrown over because they had become the party of compromise and "that's not who we are!" The Republicans were still willing to fight (like- actually fight. They started a war and everything).

Now the Republicans have to realize they're staring down the same fate, but the idea of actually fighting is far too terrifying to people so secure in their ivory towers.

But can you imagine if Trump and Musk were to get together and start funneling money and assistance to politicians to run on the platform of "Return to the Constitution, put America first, and then leave me the Hell alone?" - which would be right up both their allies, I'm sure. One or two election cycles is all it would take for the Republicans to be another footnote in history.

Nothing they say or do will remove that stain, until that injustice is addressed.

This is what happens when you allow an election to be stolen.

145 radical feminists believe that all men are potential rapists who will force women to have babies and become dependent on the men to survive.

I think most rad-fems actually believe that men should exist only for the convenience of women. However, I do believe that argument is the one they make the most ("barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen" and all).

That said, all you have to do (in 99.999% of cases) is not have sex outside of marriage. It really isn't *that* hard. I did it for 24 years. Then I got married, so I guess I'm up to 42 years of not having sex outside of marriage.

159 Ironically, Alito's outcome won't limit a woman's access to abortion that much. Most states will allow it, some with tighter time limits. Otherwise a woman can go to another state...

Foucalt is a tough slog, but illustrative. Frank Herbert, however, summed up the position very concisely in Dune. There, one of his characters said:

When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.

There's much Postmodernist bric-a-brac about why this all such a good thing, and lots of collectivist (primarily Marxist) scaffolding on which it is all hung, but Herbert boiled it down to its elements in that one brief statement better than anyone else I've seen.

Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at May 04, 2022 08:29 AM (DU+/6)

199 The NGOs will be running buses and charter flights to "help."

I think noted "bioethicist" Peter Singer (*spit*) suggested that children don't have a fully formed identity until they are 4 years old or so. Before then, they are not really a "person." I'm sure he's totally onboard with aborting 4-year old children. And because of how the schools now address identity politics in kindergarten, that timeframe is even longer before they have their own "identity."

Thus sliding the acceptable timeframe during which you can have an abortion even longer. According to their logic.

213 Okay, fine. People are going to support different people within the party. I get it. But apparently Levin doesn't.

I honestly haven't listened to "Conservative" talk radio in years now, but Levin really strikes me as anti-populist. I think he's actually a conservative on the conservative side, but he's also a credentialist/elitest and if something is "popular" then it must also be inherently inferior.

Also, he likes to hear himself speak.

There's much Postmodernist bric-a-brac about why this all such a good thing, and lots of collectivist (primarily Marxist) scaffolding on which it is all hung, but Herbert boiled it down to its elements in that one brief statement better than anyone else I've seen.

222 202 That thread by Will Chamberlain, pointing out the probably leaker, is very good. Worthy of Poirot. He points to a top clerk for Breyer, a lifelong abortion activist at the highest level whose husband is a one of the best friends of the Politico writer who was given the leaked copy. Looks to me like he's connected all the dots.

Yes but. Good detective work, but I think its probably a bit strong to say that her husband is "best friends" with Josh Gerstein - they shared a byline on a story some years ago, and the thread says they have interacted on Twitter within the past year. Is that best friends? Well, okay.

I am on the "it's not a leak its an op" train. Any of the Leftists in the building - to include Justices - might have told someone of the shocking thing they read, and then Bob from NSA could have just picked it up and someone from the administration released it to a friendly reporter at just this time.

Yeah, that was a growing craze when the SCOAMT was in office. I think it was Sweden that had some high muckity muck doctor say something similar.

That, at least, the vast majority even of Progressives rejected and recoiled in horror, since they know that logic would lead to adults being killed by society (first the elderly who "no longer contribute", then the younger adults who "are a burden on society."). Pretty sure that got a big "Nope."

Of course, back then, so did pedophilia (woodchipper go brrrrr), and we see what's happened there.

251 142 We can now see that Roberts' cowardice of the mob is what made him refuse to allow the hearing of the Texas 2020 election case. That decision, more than any other, made the supreme court irrelevant. It is their sole duty to adjudicate disputes between the states, and they abdicated. Nothing they say or do will remove that stain, until that injustice is addressed.

This is what happens when you allow an election to be stolen.
Posted by: Thomas Paine at May 04, 2022 08:15 AM (5kI0z)

I agree, and to be more specific - I believe that the 5 conservatives on the Court didn't rebel in 2020 because they sensed that they did not have the institutional support to push the case and win; going out on a thin limb and appearing to influence a national election was a bridge too far for them.

BUT it appears that the resentment of Roberts lingered and grew, until now when they finally feel that they have the strength to rebel and destroy his power as nominal Chief Justice. Roberts may linger on the Court quite a while more, but his power and influence is broken.

The Federal Executive Agencies and most laws written for at least the last 50 years still need the burn/scatter/salt treatment, and I still don't think anything can actually prevent the burning times, but maybe people are still moral enough that what comes out of those times will be as good as - maybe better than - what we have now.

It has changed medically over time. Nowadays, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a scenario where abortion is medically necessary. Those situations probably exist, but they should be exceedingly rare. There are any number of scenarios where the baby has to come out, but even then delivery is an option. Yep. Same as the practice being sacred and holy and maybe the most important right ever mentioned in the Constitution because of rape and incest, when the pro-abortion Gutmacher (sp?) 320 The idea of a "direct proof" is that you start with a statement you want to prove. Then take an axiom that is assumed to be true and apply various propositions to it that are known to be universally true, until you get to the original Statement Which Was To Be Demonstrated. Once you have replicated that statement verbatim by sound logical operations, you get to say QED, and the statement is proven.

Those are never considered abortions by medicine. They almost always spontaneously end before the 1st trimester is over...and if not, they are ended at discovery b/c they are not viable. They cannot be transferred under current medical science.

The medical community does not regard an ectopic pregnancy as terminating a pregnancy. They are non viable. The argument that stopping abortions will require women to carry ectopics is bullshit misdirection because they don't have an actual example of a pregnancy which threatens a woman's life.

Another $5 billion is requested for the U.S. Postal Service so it can expand its role in voting-by-mail. Even if the administration gets a fraction of that request, it will make the $500 million spent in 2020 from private groups to increase urban turnout look like small potatoes.

Combat Duty military can vote. No one else working for the government can vote for the level they are in (eg an FBI agent can vote for governor but not president/senator/federal rep)

Men get to vote if they are married and not on government assistance.

Women get to vote if they are married, have at least one child (or have had a child that passed) and are not on government assistance.

Wade because that would be perceived by the public as a decision having been made "under fire" and as a "surrender to political pressure" [presumably pressure from crazed right-wing white supremacist Trump voters]:

"The Casey plurality was certainly right that it is important for the public to perceive that our decisions are based on principle, and we should make every effort to achieve that objective by issuing opinions that carefully show how a proper understanding of the law leads to the results we reach. But we cannot exceed the scope of our authority under the Constitution, and we cannot allow our decisions to be affected by any extraneous influences such as concern about the public's reaction to our work." (p. 63 of draft opinion)

432 424 Regarding the Florida voting law, it will be upheld on appeal at the 11th and SCOTUS won't take the case.

Fallout of their refusal to get involved in the 2020 election is that states are 100% free to set their election laws. Federal courts can't overturn.

IIRC, the Federal ruling in question also lambasted the Supreme Court for doing away with "pre-clearance" provisions. I don't believe a lower court ruling which includes several pages about how stupid the current Supreme Court is has much of a chance of being upheld.

443 Our local "news" this morning reported on the abortion ruling controversy, of course interviewing 90% women who are for abortion and thus showing their bias. They mentioned that Loozyana, like "other states," has a "trigger" set up to close down abortions automatically if Roe v. Wade is overturned. Have we heard that some states have done this?

They showed a "scare" map of all the states that would completely restrict abortion (again, their term); it looked like there were about 18-20 in the lower 48. They added that, if that happens, IL would be the closest state to Loozyana where a woman could go for her abortion. That's just a quick plane flight away, but you'd have thought it was the far side of the moon. This ain't 1968, when you had to travel to NY State for an abortion and plane tickets were expensive relative to income.

It'll still be legal at all stages of the pregnancy up until birth (and probably a little after birth, knowing these people) in those states.

But it'll also still be legal in many other states, they just won't allow the later-term abortions. For example, in deep-red Mississippi, the law that was challenged in Dobbs allows women to get abortions up to the 15 week point. They are allowed after that point only for things like medical emergencies and severe fetal abnormalities.

So if some purple-haired lefty who lives in Mississippi gets knocked up and wants to get rid of the baby, she still has almost four months to put on her p*ssy hat and trek to the nearest Birmingham PP clinic to get the deed done. No need to go to all the way to Canada.

502 Illinois is demonic. They are going to pay for travel expenses for out of staters to have abortions. Sadly many RINO's up here are Pro abort.

How about a Casino/ Abort clinic? Ghouls

503 You forget George Stephanopoulos with the "why do Republicans want to abolish contraceptive" bromide at the 2012 debates.
____________

I just find it ironic that these women can plan ahead about where to go to get their abortions, but for some reason they can't plan ahead to use birth control before they have sex so that they don't need abortions.

506 The Christian Adam's article was linked at Powerline yesterday. I thought it was a bit more fear mongering for fundraising than likely prophetic. Dave's right, in my estimation, re FL (and likely others). Otoh, there should have been federal action on this during Ryan's speakership, as many of us demanded. They've been stealing smaller prizes (Oregon, Washington, Minnesota) for a long time, and grabbed the brass ring in 2020. But then, Ryan was on their side, wasn't he?

509 "First, the draft was from February so things might have changed in a subsequent draft, although if they had changed I would have thought that the latest draft would have been the one to leak."

Depends on the motives of the leaker. Suppose the motive was to jump start a movement to pack the Supremes prior to the midterms in which the Democrats might lose both houses of Congress? And suppose that the latest draft doesn't overrule Roe and Casey? Well, then for sure you would leak the draft that overturned those cases.

510 Eschewing violence is precisely what has gotten us here. It is not civilizational strength, but individual weakness.

I abhor it. I don't eschew it. They may fire the first shot, but they won't be the ones to fire the last.

We are having all sorts of trouble with RSS. Listen directly at the link in the sidebar. It's also on Apple Podcasts and will be on Spotify later today.

513 Speaking of the "Post Christian West"
One of the reforms Christianity brought to western civilization was the ending of the acceptance of pedophilia in public life. Under Roman law, children were property until 15 (I think). And could be treated as such
Its no coincidence that as Christianity is driven into retreat, and sexual depravity marches forward, pedophilia is making a comeback as well.

515 "New Leftist Talking Point: It Won’t Stop With Abortion; the Right Is Going to Take All Our Toys Away"

To be entirely fair, there's at least one state that is trying to restrict the right of free travel in order to enforce it's abortion bans, so this argument isn't entirely without merit.

I call on you all to stand against this clear overreach of state power. The states can not restrict the right of people to travel from state to state. Gambling is illegal where I live, should my state arrest me for gambling upon my return from a trip to Vegas? No, of course not, that's stupid and obviously unconstitutional.

If you don't want them clutching pearls over the right taking more rights, then stand against the right taking more rights. Restricting interstate travel is a bridge too far.
