Kevin McCarthy Asked Liz Cheney, Can't The Social Media Monopolies Take Away the Accounts of Congressmen That Question the Election Results, Too?

What can we do to promise firmly that either this son of a bitch steps aside or we're staying home in November?

Tucker Carlson lashed out at House Minority Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) on Tuesday night, warning Republicans that a change in leadership is necessary.

The Fox News host pointed to an excerpt in a forthcoming book, This Will Not Pass, by New York Times reporters Alexander Burns and Jonathan Martin.

On January 10, after Twitter's Censorious Brahmin Vijaya Gadde had already banned the sitting President from the service, Kevin McCarthy conspired with Liz Cheney about colluding with the tech oligarchs to ban more sitting Republican officials from speaking to their constituents.

The platform had already banned Donald Trump's account permanently at that point after he riled up supporters on the morning of Jan. 6.

"We can't put up with that," McCarthy said on Jan. 10, 2021. "Can't they take their Twitter accounts away, too?"

Carlson addressed those comments.

"Congressman Kevin McCarthy of California told his close friend Liz Cheney that he hoped the social media companies would censor more conservative Republicans in Congress," he stated. "Donald Trump, the sitting president, had already been silenced by those companies. But McCarthy wanted the tech oligarchs to do more and force disobedient lawmakers off the internet."

The host quoted McCarthy and reacted with disdain.

"Those are the tape-recorded words of Congressman Kevin McCarthy, a man who in private, turns out, sounds like an MSNBC contributor. And yet, unless conservatives get their act together right away, Kevin McCarthy one of his highly liberal allies like Elise Stefanik is very likely to be Speaker of the House in January. That would mean we will have a Republican Congress led by a puppet of the Democratic Party."

Either he goes or we go. Kevin McCarthy should retire from leadership to spend more time with his bizarre adult male roommate.

No more Secret Democrats.

Video below.

More: Added another video about McCarthy being even more a-scared about Republican congressmen inciting more insurrectioney attacks.

1 I missed the post last night on the "fictosexual" Japanese guy because I had a date with an actual girl. But apart from mocking the guy, the concept of sexual attraction to inanimate objects raises some interesting questions:

1. If a man can be a woman, why not a plastic doll? At least the plastic doll doesn't have a dick.

2. This is the future. We've already seen in a few decades the shift from "love" and family being solely a human-centered concept to an extension of that concept to animals. How many people truly love their pets and treat them as true family members? "Dog mom," "cat mom," "fur baby," etc. Endless IG pics of cuddling and kissing on couches with pets. I'm convinced some weirdos are having sex with their pets. Once the concept of love and family (and possibly sex) was extended to non-human animals, how much further does it have to go to reach inanimate objects?

3. Ace posted that he doubts millions of years of evolution developing attraction and sex between humans can be overcome in a few decades to reach attraction to machines. Or at least that's how I read what he said. My response: Really? I'm not so sure. See #2 above.

========

Sad to say, these sort of threats never, ever pan out. It's Red Team V. Blue Team, and this isn't the election that's going to break that.

The best we can hope for is to get enough Freshman Republicans in the House to throw the Speaker race so that no one gets a majority vote on the first ballot.

Pressure your local Congressperson that way.

By making loud support of their primary opponents who will easily call for the overthrow of McCarthy in leadership. If and when that fails, you make loud support of the Democratic opponent who will not vote for McCarthy as Speaker.

"Oh, we can't support the Democrat! We need every seat!"

Would you rather have a 29 seat majority without McCarthy or a 30 seat majority with him? That's the appropriate logic to use.

[given that the source was the NY Times... I can't tell from the lack of context. What McCarthy said (we are told) could also be interpreted as "We can't put up with conservatives being banned"]

========

The point of fighting this fight isn't to actually get someone like MTG Speaker, it's to get leadership to bend. Breaking them is pie in the sky, but making McCarthy scared enough for his position that he'll actually allow his conservative members positions on important committees (especially without the White House to sign any bills into law), is a modest and worthwhile goal.

It won't do much, but it's a baby step in the right direction. I'd rather have the baby step than not.

156 There must be something really funky going on behind the scenes. I mean the shitweasel leftists running the republican party have always been backstabbing bastards but they turned on a freaking dime. Yes they always hated orange man and so, like a rubber band, they snapped back into their role as democrat support in Trump's waning days. But this was so obviously an op. Everyone knows it was an op. Do they really think no one will ever be allowed to say this? That if they just went along with The Regime then the truth would always be hidden sufficiently and their role in the coup sufficiently glossed over?

Possibility 1: they chose poorly and it will bring them all down.

Possibility 2: they have so much other crap they've done to us, stuff that no one knows abou yet, that they have zero fear.

I mean...so? Congress can't pass much without the WH, and they create a messaging vacuum for someone else to fill between now and the presidential primaries. Instead of making a case for their own leadership, the GOPe is going to do not much of anything, leaving the field open for Trump to define the Republican Party on his own terms. It's honestly a bad strategy if there's another power center within the party. It's pretty good when the GOPe is the only game in town.

Completely different than what was portrayed.

This week, we have two NYT writers quoting in a book that McCarthy said in response to Trump being banned on Twitter that "We can't put up with that. It is almost a certainty that there are reams of documents and likely even written memos from corrupt old failures like McCarthy, McConnell, Tillis, and the rest of the colostomy bags trashing Trump and Trump voters. It will be quite devastating to the retarded Rose Garden congressional campaign, and it should be. Hell, if I were a Democrat lawmaker I would be sourcing a lot of shit said about Trump and his voters by this trash.

The next GOP House leader doing an event at the border, and burbling up tired and obviously insincere rhetoric about border security and immigration. After happily participating as a senior leadership figure in a Congress whose GOP majorities (both houses) did literally nothing to act, or even politicize*, in support/defense of a president elected substantially on a pledge to restore sanity and rule of law in this area.

* politix is about differentiation and clarity, and not only does the GOP *do* nothing, they don't even approach a topic that in reality is in the neighborhood of 70/30 or 80/20, politically, with the electorate

The GOP does not make concessions to the Right. You'll get compromise from a Democrat before that happens, and that will never happen.

These situations reminds me of the scene from The Wire, when the angry security guard at the bodega confronts Marlo Stanfield about what he's doing to his community...

Marlo looks at him and contemptuously, repeatedly says "You want it to be one way. But it's the other way," as the guard slowly trails off into silence.

Then he drives away and orders him shot for his insolence.

Probably the best scene on the best show ever, and representative of the dynamic in American life, in every arena.

1) McCarthy knew what he said. And went on, business as usual, believing WE would never find out.
2) Whoever leaked them has decided to alter their deal with Kevin-- note very well that Kevin is NOT moving right in response.
3) That tells you he has accepted the new terms--because whatever they do still hold over him is ... worse.

377 I was really concerned about Twitter before Elon Musk expressed interest.

Twitter was disappearing issues raised by candidates for public office. The NY Post story about H. Biden's computer is one example-- Twitter used its power to just remove the issue from public discourse.

Twitter also suspended the account of Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-inc.; MO-04), who is running for Senate in MO, because she raised the issue of transgendered men competing in women's sports. Bingo-- issue disappeared.

That kind of thing is much worse than liberal bias in general. I think it's an attack on the democratic process itself.

389 I try not to blackpill, but let's be honest: American voters are fucking mongoloids.

We'll get a Republican do-nothing Congress. Maybe Trump gets re-elected and appoints 10,000 more Democrats. We'll get a few years breathing room.

Then the American voter, a perpetual shrug machine, will say it's time for a change and vote in older, bitter, and revenge-minded NeoMarxist Revcom trash Democrats.

Watch. Wait. And be ready to move at a moment's notice once Red States form factions and start practicing self-government with no regard to the Federal govt. And get your ass there, if you haven't already.

And buy guns and ammo.

Absolutely.

The entire reason we are where we are today, post-legally-stolen election, is because of censorship. People couldn't talk about things openly. Doctors couldn't discuss things without fear of losing their jobs.

All of that led to the lockdowns, which led to the election, which led to inflation, etc.

Censorship is the cause of it all.

__________

Yep. Biden is even now dropping hints that he plans to wipe away -- with a stroke of his magic pen -- billions (or more) student loan debt of millions of borrowers. He told some hispanic group that they're going to like what he's going to do on the student loan debt, and they've been demanding he go whole hog.

It's insane, and obviously grossly unfair, that one crooked politician who is desperate to buy votes can transfer a trillion dollars in somebody else's legal debts onto people who didn't agree to the loans and didn't receive any benefit from them.

And then of course we have Biden spending billions in "covid" funds to provide free phones and free plane rides and all sorts of other goodies to the millions of illegal aliens he has invited to flood across our southern border.

Our government is a sick, sad joke, and unfortunately the joke's on us.

480 Trump is asserting control over the GOP. In politics that doesn't killing all that displease you, it means building a coalition. He thinks he can build a certain level of personal loyalty between himself and McCarthy so that McCarthy will back him on political priorities when and if he becomes president again.

the M-26–the world's largest heavy-lift helicopter is capable of transporting up to 44,000 pounds. A billion in gold is about 22 tons. A ton is 2,000 pounds. so 2 1/2 billion in gold is 55 tons or 110,000 pounds. Plus the ship with cannons - at least another few tons. More than double what the best helicopter can carry.

It's stupid things like this that drive me nuts in movies. I know - suspend disbelieve and all that - but some things are hard to ignore.

Also, you can't hear another person talking when you are free-falling. No matter how loud you yell.

And, if you jump from the cargo to try to get to the next one up the line you would instantly be left behind b/c the aircraft is traveling so fast. The second your feet left the cargo box, the plane would have move forward away from you by hundreds of feet.

My kids loved the movie though.
