The Morning Report - 4/26/22

musksting.jpg

Good morning, kids. Tuesday and of course the big news is Elon Musk's successful purchase of Leftist social media organ Twitter. Welcome news, at least on the surface. One can argue about what Twitter's actual reach is and its effectiveness as a means of mass communication and influence. But considering how it was used since the emergence of Trump in 2015 to embargo not only his message (it was the primary means by which he was able to go around the propaganda/smear machine) but anything else that ran counter to the approved Leftist narrative and meme on every issue under the sun, when seen in that light, the wresting of control of a major Leftist house organ is a stunning victory. The complete unhinged reaction from all quarters of the Left, divorced from reality as they are, only confirms it.

There has been one salutary effect of the weeks-long efforts of Elon Musk to gain control of Twitter, and the debate over the freedom of speech that ensued: now the Left’s foremost individuals and institutions are out in the open about their hatred for the freedom of speech. The authoritarian heart of the Left has been exposed, as has their war against the foundational principle of any free society: the right to express oneself even if one’s opinions don’t coincide with those of the powerful and/or moneyed elites. Barack and Hillary hate the freedom of speech and want you to think it’s a dangerous toy, too dangerous for you to play with. And now three pillars of the unctuous and hypocritical Leftist “human rights” establishment, Human Rights Watch (HRW), Amnesty International, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), have come out against it as well. . .

. . . Deborah Brown, whom Reuters describes as a “digital rights researcher and advocate” at Human Rights Watch, asserted: “Regardless of who owns Twitter, the company has human rights responsibilities to respect the rights of people around the world who rely on the platform. Changes to its policies, features, and algorithms, big and small, can have disproportionate and sometimes devastating impacts, including offline violence. Freedom of expression is not an absolute right, which is why Twitter needs to invest in efforts to keep its most vulnerable users safe on the platform.”

See, it’s all about preventing violence. As the Left relentlessly insists, conservative speech not only leads to violence, but in itself amounts to violence. If Twitter allows freedom of speech, people are going to get hurt. This argument would have a great deal more force if Human Rights Watch had ever called out Antifa or Black Lives Matter violence, or if the “white supremacists” that Biden and Merrick Garland and other Leftists keep insisting are the biggest terror threat the nation faces today actually showed themselves, or if HRW had ever shown concern about Leftist violence against those who dissent from its agenda. But HRW is not remotely consistent; it has never shown any concern for the violence that might arise from Leftist speech. What’s more, the warning that speech can lead to violence ignores the fact that even the most ardent free speech advocate is not in favor of allowing the free propagation of actual calls for violence or illegal activity. Evans is just employing a tested tool of the Left: the claim that speech simply must be restricted, because if it isn’t, people are going to get hurt. This remains spectacularly unproven.

As the estimable Robert Spencer notes above, when three of the worst anti-American organizations, Human Rights Watch (HRW), Amnesty International, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), whose words and deeds over the course of decades completely belie their names come out against you, it's a badge of honor and an indicator that you're one of the good guys. But that said, to me Elon Musk is still a big question mark. While I have tremendous admiration for SpaceX, I have never been a fan of Tesla. That's not so much because I'm against electric vehicles, per se, but because Musk eagerly took billions of taxpayer dollars from the federal government to manufacture and market it. The same federal government that is now hell bent on destroying oil, coal and natural gas. And all the while, Musk flaunts an image of how his company is a wildly profitable, shining example of free market entrepreneurialism.

The other thing that has irked me, despite drawing the ire of such crooked Commie frauds as Elizabeth "Lieawatha" Warren, is his latent (or perhaps not so latent) flirtation with globalism and the Great Reset crowd. In fact, he does believe in the global warming/climate change fraud. Back in 2017 (ancient history, right?) he Tweeted:

"No need to rely on scientists for global warming -- just use a thermometer"

Well, did he really believe it, does he still believe it or was it just part of his carny act to get billions in government lucre while conning the climate cultists? Either way, it's not really a good look, IMHO. By the way, we're still waiting for his hyperloops, Solar City, and Tesla semi-trucks among other things. And yet, and yet. . .

Meanwhile, Jack Dorsey, the whackadoo freak who, when he was emperor of Twitter banned anyone and everyone who dared Tweet anything counter to leftist propaganda, from President Trump at the most crucial moment of his presidency in the wake of the stolen 2020 election to doctors and researchers who dared question the official line about therapeutics over vaccines and the origin of the General Tso's Sicken, etc. etc., emerged from his hidey-hole in full support of Musk:

“I love Twitter. Twitter is the closest thing we have to a global consciousness,” Dorsey said. “The idea and service is all that matters to me, and I will do whatever it takes to protect both. Twitter as a company has always been my sole issue and my biggest regret. It has been owned by Wall Street and the ad model. Taking it back from Wall Street is the correct first step.”

“In principle, I don’t believe anyone should own or run Twitter. It wants to be a public good at a protocol level, not a company. Solving for the problem of it being a company however, Elon is the singular solution I trust. I trust his mission to extend the light of consciousness,” he continued. “Elon’s goal of creating a platform that is “maximally trusted and broadly inclusive” is the right one. This is also @paraga’s goal, and why I chose him. Thank you both for getting the company out of an impossible situation. This is the right path…I believe it with all my heart.”

Dorsey is referring to Parag Agarwal, the Twitter CEO who took over for him late last year, who you might recall had this to say upon taking the reins:

Incoming Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, who will shortly replace Jack Dorsey as head of the far-left social media company, uncritically repeated a quote in 2010 suggesting that there should be no need to “distinguish between white people and racists.”

“If they are not gonna make a distinction between muslims and extremists, then why should I distinguish between white people and racists,” tweeted Agrawal, in quotes. It is unclear who he was quoting.

While anti-white racism has become common in many U.S. institutions, including its top corporations, Agrawal made his comment in 2010 — years before the Black Lives Matter movement would arrive to push American corporations even further towards the left on issues of race. . .

. . . In an interview with the MIT Technology Review last year, while he was CTO of the company, Agrawal said free speech was no longer a focus for the company.

“Our role is not to be bound by the First Amendment, but our role is to serve a healthy public conversation and our moves are reflective of things that we believe lead to a healthier public conversation,” said Agrawal.

“The kinds of things that we do about this is, focus less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed.”

Real charmer, this polliwog. Look, if all of this is some sort of 11-dimension, Henry Gondorff long con, it's a damn good one. That said, with views like that, Agarwal has got to be shit-canned immediately, along with the rest of Twitter's "Trust and Safety Dept." right behind him. That will be the tell. But assuming this isn't a con, Musk might be the richest man on the planet and have billions in fuck-you money to play with, but he's going up against the Kalorama Klown Komintern that can and will use the entire federal government to step on you like a bug.

As Churchill once said, “If Hitler invaded hell I would make at least a favorable reference to the devil in the House of Commons.” I'm not claiming Elon Musk is the devil, but I sure know who and what represents the other guy.

So that said, I welcome the "Under New Management" shingle hanging in the Twitter doorway. At least for now.

I saw this starting at UT back in 1980. One persons words could be cause for another person PHYSICAL violence. These were not fighting words per se, just words about markets, or freedom, or justice.

The reason they are being called to testify is that they asserted an attorney-client privilege with Sussmann materials. Not for the core issue of Russiagate - that it was all a fraud to mobilize the full force of the USG on Trump.

That is not what the Sussmann trial is about.

The difference being that Elon has an actual history of doing material things to support free speech (turning on the internet in Ukraine, and then refusing to work against Russia and China - on free speech grounds). The Republicans - with few exceptions - have no history of actually trying to save America from the Progressives.

Yes it is. You should read some of the emails that were dumped last night. The amount of colluding between Fusion, the Clinton campaign, tech guys and the media is incredible even for those of us who know they are corrupt.

This is the stuff Sussmann, Hillary, the DNC, Fusion, GT, etc., never wanted the public to see because it proves there was indeed a conspiracy to frame Trump and his associates.

35 Also, I'm already tired of the newest round of "Teachers are saints!" coverage I've been seeing.

Teachers are whiney, entitled, and (even the best of them) enabling of evil. And, yes, I'm related to several who are "good" teachers. They're still whiney and entitled and think their working conditions are somehow worse than anywhere else in white-collar America.

As though periodic reviews and testing of output quality aren't things all the rest of us have to put up with.

And if I hear one more teacher say "We don't get paid for a single day we don't work!" I may flip my lid.

==================
The scale of the conspiracy suggest much worse. Essentially all Americans electronic communications are recorded and over 30,000 Americans were targeted for electronic surveillance without warrants in 2016, thanks to "private contractors" like FusionGPS having access to raw NSA data. Trump was obviously included, along with his children and friends.

This was (and is) so massive and regular an occurrence that it is hard to comprehend. Another conclusion: The likelihood that large numbers of American intel agencies have fat files on Biden Inc and Hunter/Jim is 100%. Not just the Russians or Chinese might be blackmailing the junta.

82 Good morning everyone. Thank you J.J.

Saints of the Day
St. Cletus (1st c.) and St. Marcellinus (3rd c.) were both Romans, popes, and martyrs who ruled the Holy See during the terrible persecution of Christians at the hands of the Roman Empire. St. Cletus was a convert and disciple of St. Peter the Apostle who became the third Bishop of Rome from 76 to 89 A.D., under the reigns of Roman Emperors Vespasian and Titus. His name appears in the Roman Canon of the Mass. St. Marcellinus was the twenty-ninth Bishop of Rome from 296 to 304 A.D. during the infamous persecution of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, on the eve of the legalization of Christianity across the Empire. Statues of these two popes of the early Church sit on opposite corners of the portico ceiling of Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome. They share a feast day on April 26th.

Sorry but no we did not have the proof. Yes, some of us here knew it, a vast amount of the public still has no clue. Poll after poll shows that a significant majority of Democrats believe Trump colluded with Russia to this day.

Now Durham has actual documentary proof, evidence, that nobody had previously that the whole thing was a made up conspiracy and it went much deeper than even we knew. There are two things there, and both are true. The hard-left censorship apparatchiks at Twitter have to go. Some will self-fire by ragequitting, but the deeper operatives working for the state will have to be identified and purged, thrown out as the claw the walls and knock over furniture.

And this might end Musk. The full weight of the federal government will be slowly brought to bear on him. They will fuck around with all his stuff through the agencies. We live in a censorship regime, and the censorship and control are essential, not incidental. They cannot allow Twitter to decontrol and it is better off dead than open. But, like the never-Trumpers, too many RCC say, "that's not who we are" and give cover and silent assent to sin.

*there is a wonderful book, A Right To Be Merry, written by a young nun who was part of a group of Carmelites sent to found the first cloistered convent in Roswell, NM. It's still in print (the nun later became abbess of the convent) and a lovely read for anyone interested.

They will become ever more brazen. They have to. We're past the inflection point on censorship. All tyrannies require censorship of speech that is not Party-aligned. It must be suppressed, because the Party is lying, stealing, murdering and enslaving and they need absolute total control of messaging to maintain the line that freedom is slavery and death is life and sin is righteousness. It can only accelerate.

Why do you think we ran Radio Free Europe during the Cold War - and why do you think that getting caught listening to it would get you sent to the gulag if you weren't just shot on sight? They will get more brazen about it. They have to. They have no choice. The control *must* be maintained or the game ends.

There is very little public trust left to shatter. The elderly still somewhat believe the old names in news, but virtually no one else does. The only people seriously reading those papers now are the factional Party men and the people engaging in Kremlinology - and only the Party men believe a word of it. The TV networks are somehow in better shape, but not by all that much.

"Public trust" is increasingly irrelevant because it's largely already gone. It's not a disincentive and it doesn't matter to their continuation as going concerns. Unless the malefactors are publicly repudiated and frog-marched off to prison for their myriad and obvious crimes - and they won't be - there will be no reforms and it won't matter. Press men, Party men, freelancers, spooks, etc. - they're all immune.

It's possible, but unlikely that it would be in code. It's more likely to be having internet providers shut down their servers.

One thing Musk will do quickly, if he's world wise enough, is to remove any cloud presence from Twitter and do everything on-prem with his own server farms and an internal ISP. He'll also begin security scans of his own software, looking specifically for any such back-door access.

The Twitter board and CEO were at least smart enough (because they might be held personally liable if they didn't) to declare a code freeze until the shareholder vote and Musk's (almost certain) takeover at the end of next month.

Posted by: AllenG #Texit at April 26, 2022 08:22 AM (9nPZp)

And their outlets are providing another roadmap, too, and it will be followed. Suddenly there are lots of stories about how Twitter is about to become a snakepit if terrorism, incitements to violence, neo-Nazism and child pornography.

Of those things happen *now* on the platform, but the platform is also protected as a control mechanism for the regime. Once those protections are removed, the stuff that's already there will be amplified by malefactors posting new stuff and amplifying each other. It may become precisely what they "predicted" - because they did it - and then they will be compelled to take action against it in the interests of reducing crime and increasing public peace.

Be on the lookout for that strategy, because I strongly suspect they'll run that playbook. They're telegraphing it already.

207 >>There is very little public trust left to shatter. The elderly still somewhat believe the old names in news, but virtually no one else does. The only people seriously reading those papers now are the factional Party men and the people engaging in Kremlinology - and only the Party men believe a word of it. The TV networks are somehow in better shape, but not by all that much.

I might believe this if we didn't just live through a 5 year period that proved the opposite. We can lie to ourselves all we want about the lack of influence those legacy media organizations hold but they almost took down a duly elected president and did help ruin the lives of numerous people like General Mike Flynn and Michael Caputo.

The NYT and the WaPo are the conduits the Intel Community uses to build narratives. Go back and look at Page and Strzok's tweets about leaking information to both of them. Not Twitter or Facebook, the NYT and the WaPo. Without them there never would have been a Russia collusion hoax of any note.

The federal government's intelligence agencies are likely near panic. No doubt Twitter has all sorts of "hidden features" that have been used by the IC for years... those are now at risk of being exposed or disabled. Either one is unacceptable to them. I'd expect this little tidbit to become public anyway.

Even if Musk is denied ownership by whatever means the feds decide to use the intelligence capabilities of Twitter will have been lost. For now.

226 the claim that speech simply must be restricted, because if it isn’t, people are going to get hurt. This remains spectacularly unproven.
++++
It has the opposite effect. Censorship and speech control can reduce friction for the ruling powers and look in the short term like a net good for them, because it is. Longer term, however, it causes unsolvable problems. When you silence people, you remove an outlet for them. They have no way to know whether or not they're alone and there is also no wider mediating force. This alienates people, drives them mad and ultimately reduces inhibitions. At the same time, it also shuts off intelligence capability against them because they're not allowed to talk to anyone.

What it leads to is masses of alienated, angry people with fewer inhibitions and increasing anomie, while also cutting off their ability to learn about them and removing any moderating feedback. Then, at some point that is utterly unpredictable and also oddly predicated, the whole thing blows up and you end up in a revolution. Lots of people die in revolutions.

241 A majority of a-hole SCOTUS justices have temporarily reinstated a racist (against high-achieving Asians) admissions policy at TJ Science & Tech HS in Virginia. TJ, the nation's top-ranked public HS, had a student body of over 70% high-achieving Asians, but this was deemed to be "too many" Asians after the George Floyd nonsense, and the Fairfax Co. race-baiters decided to "re-balance" the racial mix to reduce the Asians and admit more unqualified blacks and hispanics in the name of "diversity." Parents sued and a federal judge stopped the blatant racism against Asians and ordered the school to suspend the new admissions policy, but now the SCOTUS has reinstated it. Thomas, Gorsuch, and Alito dissented and said they would have suspended the racist policy.

They aren't mutually exclusive. Trust is not required for narrative-setting or control. An absence of trust doesn't mean you know the truth, it just means that you know you are being lied to. And social media acts as an amplifier for the legacy media because too few people read the legacy media. They don't lead to Facebook or Twitter because there's no real good way to do so. You leak to your captive "news" agencies and then let it amplify through social media by controlling who those networks deem "credible" or "reliable."

Saturation of control doesn't mean anyone believes you - but it does mean that they all know the party line and are afraid to push back for the fear of having their lives ruined. Six of one, perhaps.

250 Everyone loses value over time and therefore becomes expendable. With each passing day Hillary has less value to the party and the people who surrounded her. Her reputation has already suffered, something she could already ill afford. Her political value is mostly gone. Durham may never get anyone to turn on her, but he might. You'd be surprised what people facing jail time and loss of employment do. How many people do you think would be willing to do time for her? Or is it really her they're going after? Maybe it's the cabal that wanted her as their figurehead? Durham has plodded along carefully against an entrenched organization that has taken decades to build. That won't be taken down overnight. But I think he's on the right path and eventually someone will throw Hillary under the bus. She's clearly a loathsome person who directed or lent her imprimatur to this attempted coup. 253 Regarding groomers in the classroom, I would posit that while the sexual element is the most highly visible aspect of it right now, there is a broader and deeper component that people should be aware of. And that is teachers who actively seek to create a secret emotional bond with children, to the exclusion of parents. "You can feel free talking with me, Johnny. I won't tell your parents. It will be just between us."

This approach doesn't necessarily involve a sexual aspect. It could be religion, global warming, politics, guns in the household... you name it. And it happens every day all around us. The teacher-student veil of secrecy destroys families. I've seen the aftermath of this at first hand in my own family.

269 Why would Twitter allow the conservatives back now?

Musk doesn't own it yet. Doesn't doing so just show that it was all arbitrary and capricious and not about Trust and Safety like they said?

Posted by: blaster at April 26, 2022 08:41 AM (9otr5)

270 I like how DeSantis doesn't over-sugarcoat what Musk's buyout portends. It's a cautious statement, as it should be. I will gladly rejoice if free speech is truly the end result (minus violent rhetoric, of course) but only time will tell if Musk lives up to some people's expectations. I remain curious, but cautious.

Yup. It's long odds. I think the probability is better that Twitter dies or is killed off rather than free speech returning. But it's the first glimmer of hope in a while now, outside of the notable exception that is Ron DeSantis and Florida.

Really. Then you have all the evidence, not conjecture, of what really happened? Can I see it?

The idea that Durham, probably the most respected prosecutor who has a long career of prosecuting corrupt politicians and government agents including the FBI is just burying this is stupid and unsupported by facts and an insult to other fine people.

The left investigates people because they are communists. We investigate crimes and go where the evidence leads. If you have any evidence that Durham is ignoring clear crimes by anyone then show it. Otherwise it's just ranting.

297 The Twitter purchase is about making money, and Musk sees freer speech and transparency as critical elements in rebuilding the totally destroyed public trust in the platform. He needs twitter in the same way Trump needs Twitter (or Truth Social): it's a low cost and effective way to market Teslas and SpaceX (and, he hopes, Boring Company) products to the world.

I am betting he has a business plan that will reinvigorate the business. All the "Trust and Safety" nonsense so important to the fascists is a complete distraction to making money and, for that excellent reason, will get flushed as soon as he can start implementing his plan.

Your point is good. In a normal case, Sussman would be one of the guys given immunity to spill his guts. And you know if Durham were serious, he could make Sussman's life miserable until he agreed. Instead we're acting like maybe getting Sussman is nabbing Capone.

I don't disparage the work of citizen investigators and citizens who did all of the heavy lifting on this. Men like Solomon and organizations like the Epoch Times and the network of anonymous independents on Twitter have done admirable, remarkable, impressive and very fine work. It is thanks to them that we know what happened and, importantly, can more fully understand what we have lost and how corrupt the entire Complex is.

But it was them. It was independent men with intelligence who put in the work and exposed the truth. It wasn't the investigators and prosecutors with indictment power. It wasn't the organizations that are supposed to this - and those organizations not only didn't do the work, they actively work for the other side.

I realize now that I might have misunderstood your comment, in that the implication might be that the great work of the citizen investigators and journalists was guided with some inside baseball by secret white hats.

If that's what you meant, then fair enough. That may well have happened. It doesn't mean the system is salvageable. We have one example - not related to Spygate - where is *known* to have happened. The man at DARPA who found the unclassified rejection of EcoHealth Alliance by DARPA because of its recklessness searched for it, found it, and released it directly with his name on it. That proposal and its rejection were damning and would have been more than enough to launch investigations about COVID origins and see some very bad actors trussed up in prison. It didn't happen. It won't happen.

Durham, at a guess, hoped he would find nothing. Instead he is finding an unimaginably massive conspiracy. Rosemary Collyer exposed the NSA in 2018 as collecting every domestic electronic communication, in black letter violation of the law, and it still goes on. She exposed the "private contractor" access to that data, including for FusionGPS, leading to over 30,000 Americans being surveilled for "reasons" in 2016 alone, including Trump, his children and many of his friends, associates and donors.

Nothing has happened. No one has gone to jail. No one is even indicted. Instead, Durham is "investigating".

Actually 3 people have been indicted including the guy who is credited with creating the Steele dossier and Hillary's campaign lawyer who will be going on trial in less than a month. Durham doesn't get to make court scheduling dates. The courts do that.

Do you trust John Ratcliffe? He was on the tube this weekend saying that given the evidence he largely turned over to Durham and through his discussions with Durham he expects "many" more indictments. His words not mine.

The part I find most frustrating is people have this tendency to say things are taking to long when they really don't care about what's going on to make things take long time like teams of high priced lawyers fighting back and delaying the production of evidence.

Whitewater took over 6 years and that was a relatively minor land scam. Sure, I'd like this to go fast at least as much as anyone cause I probably follow it more closely than most but it is absolutely meaningless in the grand scheme of are things actually happening and they clearly are.

404 for all the back and forth about "justice" - No "justice" is possible until we take back control, and we can't take back control until we defeat the current culture. It's foolish to think any of this can happen out of sequence. It's important for Durham's investigation to move forward, because it paralyzes and neutralizes key players on the enemies team; but no, there can be no "justice" until someone on our side (and I do NOT mean GOP-e) can take power.

409 While I have tremendous admiration for SpaceX, I have never been a fan of Tesla.

And let's not forget that Musk has a lot of business in China. So will Musk bow to demands from China regarding Twitter operations as every other CEO in America has done? If it comes down to free speech on Twitter or maintaining business in China, which will Musk choose?

Time will tell. This is a war that has been going on decades and the right has lost every battle for decades. Musk finally won a battle. But we are still losing the war by a long shot. Maybe this win turns the tide? Again, time will tell.

Yeah, we're not even at that level yet. If I can get them to keep a solid stance, not swat at the ball, deliver a full, confident swing, then they (those 4) can be proud that they did something that vaguely resembles a baseball swing. Then we can work on rotation of the hips and getting them some power in their swing.

I'm really not interested in being as corrupt as the left. And what evidence do you have that had Durham had s time machine and started his investigation in 2016 it would have deterred what happened in 2020 at the state level?

Yes, there is a lot of work to fix system that frankly we allowed to become corrupted for decades and Durham isn't going to singlehandedly fix everything and root out all the corruption in government. His job is to investigate the 2016 and if he finds evidence of prosecutable crimes to pursue them wherever they go.

447 I worked for the fed for over 30 years so let me just say this about investigations; it's seldom about punishment. It's mostly trying to figure out how it happened. The individuals currently named in the Russiagate conspiracy all are/were agents of change. Obviously tagged by Clinton to do her dirty work they are primarily responsible for what went down. Their egos are huge, but it's highly unlikely they'll ever work in Washington D.C. doing what they've been doing again. Sure, some will get gigs on TV, write books, get paid lots of money, whatever. But they'll never be a "player" again.

Should they go to jail? Probably. But most won't. The exposure will limit their usefulness, and this includes Hillary Clinton too. Here designs on future political activities are effectively over.

"Migrants" is a term given the illegal border crossers in Europe, transiting into western countries from the shitholes of the middle east. "Journalists" dreamed it up, to soften the issue of muzzies wanting freebies into a "we must have empathy for these poor people fleeing terror."
So "migrants" then got applied to every fucking piece of shit wading across the Rio Grande, or jumping the fence into So Cal.

Not good enough. I understand what you're saying and I even agree with a lot of it, but these people are not the whole story and they were able to operate and achieve their goals thanks to a culture of corruption and general unlawfulness that saturates and pervades every facet of the federal government.

Without real punishment, real jail time, real routing out of malefactors and real consequences hanging over the heads of the federal government like the Sword of Damocles, nothing changes and nothing improves. And that is not going to happen, because this rotten system is responsible for policing itself.

Of course Clinesmith was indicted and tried and Durham asked the court for the maximum penalty available under the statute. He got a DC judge who gave him a light sentence.

Yes, the courts are corrupt and particularly in the DC circuit once again demonstrating the reason for having overwhelming and bulletproof evidence when going up against the Democrat elite.

I am going to give credit to Durham for this bit of cleverness: he is getting the Clinton campaign to convict Sussmann for him. Sussmann says he wasn't working for the Clinton campaign. Durham says well if we got your emails with the campaign that would prove it one way or the other, and the Clinton campaign, as would be pro forma for one of their lawyers, says its attorney-client privilege. Which really puts a crimp in Sussmann's I wasn't working for them story.

Pictures of the actual steal as it happened!

Drop boxes, placed in violation of state law and under the "covid!!" cover story, became the locus of (in Pennsylvania alone (iirc) over 300,000 votes dropped off by these "mules" as True The Vote called them. Many wore gloves so their fingerprints weren't on the fake votes.

504 WASHINGTON - U.S. President Joe Biden has granted the first three pardons of his term, providing clemency to a Kennedy-era Secret Service agent convicted of federal bribery charges that involved trying to sell a copy of an agency file, and to two people who were convicted on drug-related charges but went on to become pillars in their communities.

The Democratic president also commuted the sentences of 75 others for nonviolent, drug-related convictions. The White House announced the clemencies Tuesday as it launched a series of job training and re-entry programs for those in prison or recently released.

Many of those who received commutations have been serving their sentences on home confinement during the COVID-19 pandemic. Several were serving lengthy sentences and would have received lesser terms had they been convicted today for the same offenses as a result of the 2018 bipartisan sentencing reform ushered into law by the Trump administration.

That's sad. I hope that my youngest's intensity and my oldest new opportunities (getting out of the outfield) carries them through the tough years of adolescence. But I will be brutally honest. The kids whose parents are contributing to coaching and running the team are getting primary consideration on positions and playing, partly on their talent and knowledge, but also because the parents are willing to contribute (there is much overlap here with kid talent/knowledge). I'll do my best to move people around. But those kids who do the work and have good attitudes - largely as a result of involved parenting - will be my go-tos.
