The Morning Report - 4/18/22

fantasvrealit.jpg

Good morning, kids. Hope you all had a blessed Easter and Passover. So, while our attention was focused last week mostly on a shooting rampage in a Brooklyn subway station carried out by a racial jihadist amped up on a lifetime of brainwashing, the same purveyors of the poison that led to what happened there are getting ready for another spring and summer of love over another innocent-as-the-day-is long black man named Patrick Lyoya who was gunned down in cold blood by a white supremacist with a badge in Grand Rapids, MI.

Well, that's what the propaganda line is.

In point of fact, after being pulled over by the cops for some sort of traffic violation, an altercation ensued in which Lyoya bolted from the scene, and after a brief chase, struggled with the officer and tried wresting the officer's taser away, leaving the officer no alternative but to shoot the suspect dead. Chris Rock, of all people, famously had a routine called "How Not to Get Your Ass Kicked by the Police!" Evidently, Lyoya never saw it. Neither did George Floyd, Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, and a long list of young black men and women who are the cannon fodder for the Marxist divide-and-conquer Democrats. It is tragic in the extreme when anyone's life is cut short. But let's face facts. The reason that blacks represent a disproportionate number of those incarcerated or, sadly, meet a violent end either at the hands of the police or far more overwhelmingly by others of their ilk is because they are committing the vast majority of crimes. In any case, all of these alleged victims were set on the road to their demise almost from the day they were born by not only a political party and movement that used them for their own gain, but by the moral failings of the parents who spawned them.

While the chattering class and media focus on inequities and claims of social injustice, Dr. [Charles] Murray (Ph.D. MIT) points out that although there is certainly racism in every society and in America, the reality is that the inequities of socioeconomic status are more the result of cognitive ability and criminal activity.

The majority of the relatively short but powerful and scholarly book, Facing Reality, is focused on data and evidence. Murray repeatedly reminds us that all social science research must always be careful to consider contributing factors.

Murray disputes the fashionable assumption that racial discrimination creates social inequities.  The reality, says Murray, is that racial inequalities in America between European- and African-heritage people in health, wealth, position, status, and income can be traced to a significant disparity in African Americans’ cognitive ability and criminal behavior.  The inequalities are also present to a lesser degree for Latin-heritage people. . .

. . . Murray’s view of the disparate higher rate of criminality in the African and Latin communities is a separate analysis that has to do with how members of a group fit into the society as good citizens.  If your group has a violent crime rate 2 or 3 times or more than the rate of the Europeans and Asians, that produces less assimilation and less success.

Murray aims to revive what he calls the “American creed,” a set of ideal commitments to foundational freedoms, human dignity, individualism, equality under the law, and the use of neutral, colorblind measures of individual talent and competence to assign economic and social roles. . . Critical Race Theory and its associated concepts have created an environment that repudiates the principles of the founding and created counterproductive and polarizing abandonment of the American principle of a meritocracy and treatment of citizens as individuals, not members of a race, ethnic group, or tribe. . .

. . . The American meritocracy that Murray promotes requires dismantling the Diversity Equity Inclusion (DIE) governmental business and academic bureaucracies, now well developed and able to preserve their hegemony.  At present these bureaucracies are blind to the realities Murray discusses.

In The Bell Curve, which was my introduction to Murray 30 years ago, Murray and Herrnstein emphasized that civil conduct and the adoption of sensible and moral social behavior will overcome some of the disadvantages of a lower IQ.  Marriage and work create an ordered personal life that extends to community participation and social justice.  Societies need to promote norms of behavior.

We know little about improving IQs, but the research of Murray and Herrnstein showed that people of limited cognitive ability will be successful if they complete high school, then work and work effectively, marry before children and live a good citizen’s life of obeying the law. Imagine a national program to promote strong intact families and civil society.  Common sense, but far removed from the current political-social attitudes.

I'm a bit reticent about the notion of minorities being inherently less intelligent vis a vis IQ scores than whites. But when you compare the mountain of research that went into the authors drawing that conclusion with the raving lunacy of Ibram X. Krement and Calypso Louie in proclaiming white people as genetically predisposed to being racist devils, well then, let's research the former premise. Of course, even suggesting it would be stepping on a political third rail while government and the private sector are falling all over themselves to kneel at the alter of "toxic whiteness."

As Victor Davis Hanson intimates, this crap is how nations and societies commit suicide.

The use of racial preferences (i.e., "racism") to stop racism hinges either on proving systemic racism in current America or resorting to the Aeschylean notion that the sins of the past generations must fall on present generations—even if there are few who are direct descendants of ground-zero “racist” slave owners or Jim-Crow adherents.

But are such “systemic” notions really true? Several ethnic minorities enjoy higher per capita incomes than do whites. Whites commit hate crimes at lower percentage rates than do blacks. In some categories of rare interracial crimes, blacks, for example, are far more likely to attack whites violently than vice versa. They are also disproportionately responsible for the upsurge in hate crimes committed against Asians.

White officers are not more likely to shoot unarmed black suspects than are minority officers. At least in terms of all those arrested each year; the police are not less likely to shoot disproportionately white unarmed suspects than black unarmed suspects. Until the train wreck of the Biden [junta] hit us, blacks had achieved their lowest unemployment rate in U.S. history at a time of nearly zero inflation. . .

. . . What is the result of the constant racial stereotyping of 230 million of all different lineages and classes as some single-minded, hateful undifferentiated borg called “white”? Do we remember the Yale lecture by New York psychiatrist Dr. Aruna Khilanani, who bragged, “I had fantasies of unloading a revolver into the head of any white person that got in my way, burying their [sic] body and wiping my bloody hands as I walked away relatively guiltless with a bounce in my step, like I did the world a favor?”

What comes from normalizing elite racist discourse like the following from a Damon Young, a New York Times contributor: “Whiteness is a public health crisis. It shortens life expectancies, it pollutes air, it constricts equilibrium, it devastates forests, it melts ice caps, it sparks (and funds) wars, it flattens dialects, it infests consciousnesses, and it kills people . . . .”?

Why then would we not see a mass murderer like Darrell Brooks driving his car to kill as many of the air polluters and climate change killers as possible in Waukesha? Did Brooks have a “bounce” in his step in the aftermath? Did the Black Lives Matter organizer who rushed to the scene to gush over the mass murder as the possible start of the “revolution?" . . .

. . . So why wouldn’t a known racist firebrand like Brooks or Frank James, the racist subway shooter, believe that he was only acting out the thoughts of elites who were bragging about either shunning non-improved whites or playing at beheading them?

The Youngs and Mystals and their counterparts in all races are the rarer foot soldiers. They act out the theories and rants of far more numerous, privileged, and elite racialists in a dysfunctional but symbiotic relationship. The former lap up and normalize elite hatred, their even more privileged brethren assume the ensuing chaos of the street will be utilitarian in leveraging more of their own privilege from those of their own exclusive class.

Of winds and whirlwinds, my friends.

31 I think the problem with assuming part of the "disparate societal outcomes" has to do with "cognitive ability" is that it seems to assume that one race has a significantly lower top limit (or at least median) IQ than another, and I don't find a lot of evidence for that.

For every Ibrahim X Kendi there's a Walter Williams.

Rather, I think the issue (once more caused by democrats) is one of education. Blacks are often much less educated than whites in any fashion. Not just academic schooling, which rural whites also often lack, but any sort of education or training that forces the mind to work along with the body.

Those blacks who do obtain a solid education (again, either academically or otherwise), tend to do just fine in "white" society.

From what I have seen, anyway.

I'm not a huge Abbott fan but the fact remains that there's not much he can do about the border. Sure, he could announce that he's mobilizing the NG but that would get shut down immediately - meaning that it would be political theater. This is what happens when 81 million "people" vote for chaos.

In this case, I think the Texas Government has actually handled the border issue better than they have been.

1. They're still stopping ALL vehicles at the border except one specific crossing (where the Governor there agreed to enforce immigration law on their side of the border). This directly hurts the Federales and the Mexican Government as well as causing "supply chain disruptions" in the US - meaning people have to pay attention, even if they pretend it's "just racist."

2. By sending the illegals to DC, he's officially making them Someone Else's Problem and limiting how much the Texas government and Texans have to deal with them.

Only thing better would be to ship them directly to Martha's Vineyard and the Hamptons.

It really isn't that simple. Until and unless Gab can become an actual competitor to the Blue Bird (that is: a substantial number of "personalities" have accounts on both), conservatives of many persuasions will have to remain on Twitter, or just not engage in one of the most impactful fronts of the culture war. (Though that's moving to Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms that are *also* part of the Liberal mafia.)

And cross posting is exhausting.

these parents - we have them here, esp in Radnor/Main Line area - are wielding their children's "disability" status as a weapon. In their minds, immune-deficient children have a disability that trumps all the OTHER disabilities that are negatively affected by masks - hearing problems, sight problems, chronic migraine (Orchid's hand pops up), OCD/anxiety, speech pathologies ... the list goes on and on. but who cares about all that! 107 Almost as inexcusably, the re-launched branding is relentlessly positive. The new campaign - the first in 20 years for the 77-year-old company - is called "Seize the Yay." It focuses on celebrating the myriad joys of ordinary life. In a press release, Baskin-Robbins explains

That's good, and I hope it marks the start of a trend in that direction. The thing with Wokeness and the rest of the madness is that you don't even have to be on "the other side" of it, you just have to not be on *their* side of it. You don't have to loudly proclaim traditionalism, you just have to *not* advance the woke agenda. It amounts to the same thing to the hard left, and I hope it works out for them.

Made your bed? That’s a reason to celebrate. Put on pants with actual buttons? There’s another! ...

More power to 'em. Basic decency and doing your chores shouldn't be reason for celebration, but in a culture where "adulting" is a word, every little bit might help.

In early 2020, Americans generally decided to give up their freedom in exchange for a false sense of security. As with any deal with the mob, they paid the price but the promised benefit never really showed up. Funny, that.

Now, getting our actual freedom back is going to require measures for which few have the stomach - if it's even possible to get back in the first place.

The real reason to impeach Biden is quite simple. They won't be able to remove him, and I'm not sure impeaching him will wound him much (he's already wounded).

It's part revenge, but it is mostly just to water down the impeachment process. Having a 3rd president impeached in the last 30 years shows that it is a rather feckless political tactic.

When you are shaking hands with no one there in public, that could suggest hallucinations. His speeches are now filled with errors even with Teleprompters and his ad libs are increasingly disastrous. Biden's reign of errors will end precisely when it is no longer advantageous for Dems wanting to keep office to have him there and no longer an advantage for the techlords and finance oligarchs who finance the Dem party.

To some extent, there is one hard deadline, if FJB stays in office past Jan 20 of 2023, then Kamala is able to run for two terms in office if she becomes president.

But, if the Dems do indeed get a shellacking up and down the ballot in November plus the oligarchs that funded the steal in 2020 refuse to fund 'get out the vote' operations then their taste for Biden may be over. Right now, I think it is that a lot of grifting can be done with a feckless demented prezzie to blame but once that cuts into money and power (officeholders), the short run grifting advantage becomes less of a factor.

His failures are worse and more frequent. Listen to the consonants. Even when they have him doped up and doing well by Biden standards, he screws up consonant selection constantly.

This was *really* on display a couple of months ago. The decline just between his marathon press conference in January and his SOTU in February was remarkable. In both cases, they had him drugged to the gills, rested, well prepped and well managed. His mumble-mouthed and almost arbitrary consonant selection was way worse at the SOTU, under better conditions.

When the war was actually happening the left generally supported Saddam - he was a modern socialist/friend of the Soviets after all. What is when someone kills himself because he's been driven mad and given no way out by a malefactor who slowly and deliberately executed a plan to drive him mad and filled him with self-loathing and despair with the hope that the victim would eat a bullet? Is that suicide or murder?

Most candidates are dunces and airheads that have staff fill in the blanks. For the most part, candidates have to be able to a) raise money by schmoozing donors so an apparently likeable personality, b) say coherent sentences via a teleprompter, and c) leave policy considerations to staff and leadership. A and B are aided if handsome or pretty. Essentially, most of them are figureheads scurrying to their next meaningless rally or meeting for a PR or donor fix while staff and leadership of their legislature plot their course.

226 If you mean impeached and removed, won't happen unless Dems sign on. If you mean 25th Amendment, then again, Dems are the prime movers. The question is whether the Dems and their financial overseers will pay the price for FJB administration and how much that will be.

Posted by: whig at April 18, 2022 08:43 AM (Iq9dF)

I agree. You need 66 Senators for either option, and because of the stigma attached to impeachment, the Dem Senators will *never* go for that no matter how badly he is doing in the polls (and dragging them down with him) But I continue to believe that after the evidence of a disastrous election is behind them, they are going to be desperate for some way to get rid of him. If he cannot be convinced to "retire" do to health reasons, I can see them signing on to a 25th amendment removal. (which is more difficult than impeachment)

Or say it was South America

Saw a picture of this girl. She's not unattractive. She is also yet another example of 'the banality of evil'. I keep going back to a John MacArthur sermon titled 'When God abandons a nation'.

Yes, one of the first legal cases over slavery in the U.S. involved a black slave owner of a black slave. And of course, blacks in Africa were heavily involved in facilitating the slavery trade.

But we're never supposed to mention blacks' culpability for slavery, because that spoils the left's "whites are uniquely raaaaacist and inherently evil" narrative.

Raunchy, cruel and slitting throats!

CF Industries: Union Pacific Curtails Fertilizer Shipments, Delaying Deliveries and Preventing New Rail Orders from Being Taken

Proper geography classes will emphasize geographical features - especially rivers and continental divides - as much as past and present political boundaries. Because rivers and continental divides are used for a good number of political boundaries.

303 On Friday, April 8, 2022, Union Pacific informed CF Industries without advance notice that it was mandating certain shippers to reduce the volume of private cars on its railroad effective immediately. The Company was told to reduce its shipments by nearly 20%. CF Industries believes it will still be able to fulfill delivery of product already contracted for rail shipment to Union Pacific destinations, albeit with likely delays. However, because Union Pacific has told the Company that noncompliance will result in the embargo of its facilities by the railroad, CF Industries may not have available shipping capacity to take new rail orders involving Union Pacific rail lines to meet
late season demand for fertilizer.

304 Its kind of interesting that no major religion ever posited that slaves and slavery is a sin. Only in America did that become a thing.

---------------------
It was a British Colonial Court that ruled on that. It was in Maryland, near Port Tobacco, where the slave was arguing he was an indentured servant and his seven years had expired and his black master was claiming he was a slave slave. The court found for the master. The case was heard around 1640s if I remember correctly.

The Narrative on this is (if an explanation is needed - very rare): Today's descendants of black slave owners have all seen the light and are working to end centuries-old white oppression of blacks. Whites are still actively oppressing and lynching blacks.

310 Human sacrifice was an important part of the practice. During the Annual Custom, 500 prisoners would be sacrificed. In addition, when a ruler died, hundreds, to thousands of prisoners would be sacrificed. As many as 4,000 were reported killed In one of these ceremonies in 1727

312 For anyone looking for an honest and non-woke discussion about race from two black guys...look up Glenn Loury and John McWhorter. Glenn leans conservative (despite dabbling on the progressive side for a few years) and John is more of a JFK-era liberal, they are decidedly non-woke and are very critical of this new third wave antiracism.

John has a book out called "Woke Racism", and they do regular podcasts together on "The Glenn Show" and formerly called themselves "The Black Guys" on the bloggingheads.tv YouTube channel.

313 From Daily Caller: Interior Secretary Deb Haaland said, "How we manage our public lands and waters says everything about what we value as a nation...For too long, the federal oil and gas leasing programs have prioritized the wants of extractive industries above local communities, the natural environment, the impact on our air and water, the needs of Tribal Nations, and, moreover, other uses of our shared public lands...Today, we begin to reset how and what we consider to be the highest and best use of Americans' resources for the benefit of all current and future generations."

Haaland is a lunatic that is one dream catcher short of not being qualified for a seat on a village council let alone running the Department of Interior and the ramifications her decisions have on a modern industrial-technology based nation. The effect of these so called Green New Deal policies will, and most likely are intended to, create a neo-feudal society run by a quasi GND that has exactly zero technical understanding how technology works in a functioning modern world. Everything they propose is unworkable, will fail, and result in untold misery for generations.

314 My company once hosted a discussion on race with Ibram X. Coconuthead. I was expecting a sly, deceitful, loquacious lecture that would challenge my views of the world.
