Emails: Hunter Biden Helped Secure Financing For Ukraine Biolabs
More "Russian Disinformation," which means... it's true.
There's no evidence Hunter Biden was specifically funding biological weapons, which is what Russia claimed. But he was getting money to fund "science projects" in Ukraine. This was also confirmed by the Daily Mail:
Russia's assertion that President Biden's son Hunter was "financing biological laboratories in Ukraine" was based in truth, according to e-mails reviewed by The Post. A trove of e-mails on Hunter Biden's infamous laptop -- the existence of which was exclusively reported by The Post in October 2020 -- found that he played a role in helping a California defense contractor analyze killer diseases and bioweapons in Ukraine. ... "US President Joe Biden himself is involved in the creation of biolaboratories in Ukraine," Russia's State Duma speaker, Vyacheslav Volodin said, according to state media. "An investment fund run by his sun [sic] Hunter Biden funded research and the implementation of the United States' military biological program. It is obvious that Joe Biden, as his father and the head of state, was aware of that activity," Volodin continued, demanding a US Congressional investigation and a White House explanation. US intelligence officials had earlier dismissed Russia's messaging as war propaganda, explaining that Ukraine's network of biological labs dedicated to pathogen research were not secret, and had publicly received funding from Washington. However, Russia's new claim that the first son's investment fund was involved in raising money for biolab projects in Ukraine was accurate, according to e-mails involving Hunter Biden's dealings in Ukraine, first obtained by The Post and initially reported on by The Daily Mail Friday. Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners invested $500,000 in the San Francisco pathogen research company Metabiota and raised millions more through firms that included Goldman Sachs, according to the e-mails found on the computer, which was abandoned at a Delaware repair shop in April 2019 as Joe Biden ran for president. Hunter introduced Metabiota to officials at Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company where he was a board member, for a "science project" involving biolabs in Ukraine, the e-mails show. ... The US awarded $23.9 million to Metabiota later in 2014, with $307,091 allocated for a "Ukrainian research projects," government spending records showed. The younger Biden bragged to investors that his company organized funding for Metabiota and helped it "get new customers" including "government agencies," according to e-mails.

A federal tax investigation into Hunter Biden is gaining momentum as prosecutors gather information from several of his associates about the sources of his foreign income, including from Ukraine, and examine President Biden's son's relationship with a company that handled some of his finances, according to people familiar with the matter. In recent weeks, prosecutors from the U.S. attorney's office in Delaware have sought information and grand-jury testimony about the money Mr. Biden received several years ago from Ukrainian natural-gas company Burisma Holdings Ltd., and how he used that money to pay some obligations, one of those people said. Last month, prosecutors also extensively questioned at least one other associate of Hunter Biden about Mr. Biden's drug and alcohol use, spending habits and state of mind in 2018, another person said, suggesting prosecutors are exploring whether such activity would present a defense against a potential criminal tax case. Prosecutors often seek to get such testimony on the record to secure it before the defense gets a chance to present it more favorably at trial. "It doesn't necessarily mean an indictment is imminent, but it is indicative of trying to lock in testimony with an eye towards a potential trial someday," said former federal tax prosecutor Matt Mueller, of the law firm Fogarty Mueller Harris, who isn't involved in the investigation. In the past year, prosecutors have called several of Mr. Biden's associates and other witnesses to testify before the grand jury as part of their wide-ranging investigation into Mr. Biden's business dealings. They are examining whether he violated tax or other laws, including those governing lobbying for foreign governments, through his business relationships in Ukraine, China, Kazakhstan and elsewhere, some of the people said. Prosecutors have focused in particular, those people said, on the payments from Burisma, which first flowed to a company called Rosemont Seneca Bohai LLC before going on to Mr. Biden. Between 2014 and 2019, Hunter Biden held a Burisma board seat for which he was paid around $50,000 a month.
The investigation into Hunter Biden is one of several politically charged probes unfolding for the Justice Department under Attorney General Merrick Garland. That post was the focus of then-President Donald Trump's efforts to get Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to announce an investigation into Joe Biden, whom Mr. Trump saw as a potential opponent in the 2020 election. That request prompted Mr. Trump's first impeachment. The GOP-controlled Senate ultimately acquitted Mr. Trump, and Hunter Biden later said he displayed poor judgment in accepting the board seat.
As of now, the US attorney investigating this can be ordered by Biden or his flunkies in the corrupt DOJ to stop the investigation and clear Hunter of all charges. Biden needs to appoint him to be a special prosecutor with independence from the corrupt DOJ, and the more-corrupt White House. Isn't it strange that the media, which was so gonzo for Robert Mueller, isn't calling for a special prosecutor? Neither are the NeverTrump Puritans. Strange!

Before the CIA coup in 2014, Ukraine was split between the western part of the country that aligned itself, represented by Tymoshenko and the eastern part that was closer to Russia represented by Yanukovych. And literally, the 2010 election was 49% vs 45%...so closely split.

Trump is a self-made billionaire but not a self-made man. He started out with more than $100M dollars, and more importantly, his father's lawyers and accountants. He has apparently never cut corners like most upstarts have had to do to be successful in NYC. He has always had at least a colorable defense for all his actions and finances.

The establishment can ignore them, and they sometimes do (when was the last time we heard about reparations?), but that the establishment does follow their lead from time to time shows that they do have a seat at the table.

Globalism in general is a bad thing for self sufficiency. It is great as long as everyone gets along, but the minute they don't, it's massive flaws are revealed. And things go wrong a lot.
China is trying to go old school mercantilist/colonial (relying on operations all over the world to secure resources they do not have at home.) The thing is, a lot of their ability is propped up by the money flowing in from everywhere for various manufacturing. If those other countries become depressed or decide to onshore their manufacturing, I dunno.

Once those images start making the rounds in Russia, there will be calls for the people who abused the Russian POWs to be *punished* as part of any ceasefire and other talks. It also means the Russians could start (if they haven't already) repaying Ukrainian POWs in kind.

I don't think so. Russians are pretty brutal and I think they mostly think that the Ukes are doing that anyway, and deserve to be punished regardless. I think there is a lot of flap in the West, but in Russia it is just how life is. Go to war - get shot. Heart of a dog.

It behooves the West to maintain and study the remnants left in Uke because if something creeps across the border, we need to be prepared to identify and maybe react with solution. I think that makes sense. Also keeps those researchers inside our tent and not selling shit to worser countries.

A couple days ago there was RT video of deputy minister talking to about a dozen russian solders in hospital with mostly leg amputations.
I was thinking - hey, are they using land mines? no way. They must be shooting the ruskies and sending them home.
