Pandemic fitness trends have gone extreme -- literally White supremacists' latest scheme to valorize violence and hypermasculinity has gone digital. It appears the far right has taken advantage of pandemic at-home fitness trends to expand its decade-plus radicalization of physical mixed martial arts (MMA) and combat sports spaces.This isn't the GAINZZZ thread, it's the VEINZZZ thread, because I want to inject this frantic gender-confused Anabolic Cope right into my VEINZZZ.
The "fitness-is-really-N@ziism-with-a-new-coat-of-paint" is a popular trope among the Fat Acceptance "movement." (Ironic -- they don't really move all that much.)
Initially lured with health tips and strategies for positive physical changes, new recruits are later invited to closed chat groups where far-right content is shared. Earlier this month, researchers reported that a network of online "fascist fitness" chat groups on the encrypted platform Telegram are recruiting and radicalizing young men with neo-Nazi and white supremacist extremist ideologies. Initially lured with health tips and strategies for positive physical changes, new recruits are later invited to closed chat groups where far-right content is shared.
Physical fitness has always been central to the far right. In "Mein Kampf," Hitler fixated on boxing and jujitsu, believing they could help him create an army of millions whose aggressive spirit and impeccably trained bodies, combined with "fanatical love of the fatherland," would do more for the German nation than any "mediocre" tactical weapons training.
Last week, self-described queer non-binary "fat sex therapist" Sonalee Rashatwar delivered a two-hour lecture entitled Race as a Body Image Issue at the St. Olaf College Health and Wellness Center in Minnesota. The event was a master class in social justice, at times putting shame to the parodies of the genre that now traffic on social media. In the video, the visibly obese woman asks: "Is it my fatness that causes my high blood pressure--or is it my experience of weight stigma?" In the presentation, which has gone viral, Rashatwar also compared "fatphobia" not only to eugenics (which is itself absurd) but also to "Nazi science," and declared that "a child cannot consent to being on a diet the same way a child cannot consent to having sex. ... At St. Olaf, Rashatwar began with a Native land acknowledgement--which, as a Canadian, I found odd: Obesity is a huge problem for Indigenous people. In Canada, 37% of reserve-resident First Nations people are obese. In the United States, it is estimated that 60-80% of American Indigenous and Alaska Natives are overweight or obese, and more than 30% are in a diabetic or pre-diabetic state. What allows her to compartmentalize the issues of Indigenous welfare and obesity, I suppose, is her belief that the goal of avoiding extra poundage is a "white supremacist beauty ideal."I won't post Sonalee's picture, but I will note that she is doing her very best to never be mistaken for a fascist. Now that's the writer of this article. A new Secret Service report released on Tuesday details the growing threat of violent attacks toward women from men who call themselves "involuntary celibates," or "incels." The 26-page report was published by the Secret Service's National Threat Assessment Center (NATC) and focuses on deadly examples of recent incel-related attacks on women. According to the report, the term "incel" is often used to describe "men who feel unable to obtain romantic or sexual relationships with women, to which they feel entitled to." don't work out too heavy on a fast, you can't build muscle anyway, you're just stressing it so that your body doesn't catabolize it.
if you feel like breaking the fast, see if some bone broth satisfies you. often a craving for food is more of a craving for electrolytes.

Right, but the real target is the former group. The "incels" are already covered in terms of living a life of despondent humiliation. They're already the butt of all the jokes and the double standard fully applies to them. A woman who is not sexually successful is discriminated against. A man who is not sexually successful is a weak, stupid, undesirable, miserable nerd type who deserves what he gets because if he weren't, he'd be getting laid.
That double standard is powerful, and it doesn't apply to the Real Men who work out, make money, get laid, etc. That group needs to be delegitimized, scorned and socially humiliated, too. It won't work, though, because they can't rid of men entirely. They already got rid of the "incels" and most of the mediocre men. They will have a much harder time getting rid of those who remain.

If you are familiar with BAP and his followers, you know that this is who they are demonizing with this crap. People who lift are often independent thinkers -- they are taking responsible for their health, they set goals and they challenge themselves. People who lift do not see themselves as a victim.
If they are lifting, they are likely also watching what they eat -- especially limiting processed, soy-filled, seed-oil saturated foods -- and taking vitamins and other supplements. They are acutely aware of the globalist forced veganism agenda, the eat bugs instead of beef BS.
They also are not at all accepting the "men and women are the same" crap (see Joe Rogan; he knows men hit harder as he's been in the ring with them).
If they are part of the BAP stuff, they embrace traditional masculinity/femineity and are seeking more timeless sources of thought/philosophy versus the latest woke and entertainment culture values. THIS is why they are targeted. This is they kind of guy they haaaate:

Also have 'Soldat' by Sigfried Knappe, part of a sick stack of history and biography books I won in an auction. I paid more than I wanted and shipping was not cheap but now I have MOAR unread books...and books make me happy.

My gainz: I'm back to 3/4 of my workout I was doing before the Covid slump. I am going to a tap class in this new place where we moved, but it is REALLY lame. In the fall, I will attend one that is actually a bit too hard for me, and I'm also looking for others. Son-in-law and I (he's Catholic) gave up things for Lent (and beyond) - he's back on Keto; I've given up cookies, cake, candy, and all such goodies.
I am wondering if this makes me a nazi. Or is it ok because I'm female? Is it just conservative males who must forgo physical fitness?
