There's an all things firefighting trade show every 5 years in Hanover, Germany called Interschutz. Biggest event of it's kind in the world.

It goes on for a week and there are teams of firefighters from all over the world that go to compete in games like this. You'd be in heaven.

Anyway -
The best horror embraces the irrational completely at the climax or end.
Dario Argento's "Suspira" does this nicely, but-

His best movie because it goes bull-goose loony by the end is- "Phenomena".
It just came out on 4K so it's out there in all it's glory. I think it may be playing on Shudder now as well and certainly on Prime.
If you can, cuz even the cover for the 4K has massive spoilers in the illustration. Try and see it going in fresh. It's worth it.
By the way, the new remake of "Suspira" is a huge pile of poo. Guy doesn't know how to make a horror movie. He can make a lame-ass woke one though, so indulge if that's your kind of thing.

Also, "The Empty Man" is a great slow burn horror movie with a knockout opening one of the best you'll ever see. And, BONUS, it completely embraces it's lunacy/irrationalityat the end. Well worth a watch.

204 Evening. Spent the entire afternoon fitting out my workbench for the utility room. It now has a four foot high backboard of light plywood on a 2X3 frame, with a 16 inch overhead shelf supported by pressed-steel shelf brackets at the top. Screwed to the underside of the shelf is a 4-foot 5000 lumen LED striplight, which is the only purchased item in the whole shebang. I have an 8-outlet power strip mounted on the front edge of the bench, cord fished through to the rear, and a four outlet power strip on the backboard, cord also fished through to the rear. Lamp is plugged into this. Top of the old bench was OSB, which makes a shitty work surface, so I decked it with some old salvaged laminate flooring with a fake oak finish. I had just enough to finish the top, and precious little left over.

I'm in a small farming town in Canada with an incredibly small number of street lights. Think one hand minus a larger number. We actually had a strip club on main street many decades ago when I was a kid. I can vaguely remember it. It drew laughter from us kids.

Several years ago, I was driving with my well over 80 uncle into one of the EVEN SMALLER farming communities and he told me that they used to have a strip club there. He and his friends used to go there.

I was shocked. Basically about the economics. The 'town' was barely a hamlet.
I asked Uncle George. What kind of strippers would ever come to a small town like that?

He answered. "Pretty strippers. Nobody's going to pay to see ugly strippers."

Edibles legit help with intractable pain and PTSD. Wife is a Southern Baptist. She tried her first edible over Christmas and tears of relief ran down her cheeks.
She listed her address at the beach house on the Panhandle. So we got a script now. Plus, I know some growers who will whip up edibles for us for free.

Went winter camping with my boys some 20 years ago at RMNP. We woke up to break camp, but we found a gang of spike elk licking the salt off our car. only thing missing was leather jackets and smokes. We kind of just waited for them to move on. They did.

It used to be the swingers Capitol of the country in the early 00's. Now Orlando is the scene combined with Tampa from what I hear from the younger crowd's wives who talk very loudly btw because ear buds have made them deaf.
