76 ||Goethe wears a large wide-brimmed grey hat, fashionable among German artists in Rome at the time, and a creamy white traveler's duster. He is portrayed in a classical manner, informally recumbent in the open air, surrounded by Roman ruins, with the Campagna di Roma in the background||

||A duster is a light, loose-fitting long coat. The original dusters were full-length, light-colored canvas or linen coats worn by horsemen to protect their clothing from trail dust. These dusters were typically slit up the back to hip level for ease of wear on horseback. Dusters intended for riding may have features such as a buttonable rear slit and leg straps to hold the flaps in place. For better protection against rain, dusters were made from oilcloth and later from waxed cotton.||

The Russian sovereign has $117 million in interest payments due today for two dollar-denominated government bonds - one maturing in 2023 and one in 2043. Russia's finance ministry has sent conflicting messages about whether it intends to make the payment and, if so, in what currency. Fitch said that if these payments aren't received in dollars and within the 30-day grace period, it will constitute a default.

16 cents per mile driven for medical, or moving purposes for qualified active duty members of the Armed Forces, down 1 cent from the rate for 2020,

The actual arguments against it are:
1) It's basically Islamic clit-chopping for men. You do lose sensitivity from it, which translates to less fun beejers. This is specifically why gays are big on it.
2) It used to be for cleanliness, but now that (nearly) everyone takes a shower every day that's not a consideration.

Color revolutions are the execution of a synthesized action plan by multiple axes of governmental and non-governmental power.

The term came to wide use in the wake of the 2005 "Purple Revolution" extolled by Bush the lesser.

Another similar term is "hyrbid war."

This last season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" had Vindman on the show.

It was sort of weird because everyone on the show was constantly saying what a hero Vindman was for exposing Trump, and Vindman himself was there soaking up compliments, yet -

he was constantly sneaking around, hiding a spying on people or going through their things and moralizing about everything. He really came off as a smug creep.

So much so, that I began to wonder if Larry David did one of those things like Hollywood loves to do with conservatives or Republicans, where they invite them on a show, as the pol doesn't realize that they're being played for a fool, but of course they are.

I'm probably wrong. It may just be comedy is comedy, but that seemed to be a pretty slick drubbing of Vindman by Larry David.

"Color revolutions" is just another name for the notion of 5th Gen hybrid war.

America when it engages in hybrid war tends to not have the same centralized integrating synthesis of diplomatic, military, and intelligence control and is loathe to commit ground troops until the last minute.

Russia tends to bind the elements more fluidly (easier to do with an autocrat) and commit ground forces more quickly.

Imagine each element of national policy being a strand of 550 cord and the meetings these cords demand eat up time-by having an integrated op plan prior to an event you weave those cords together and consequently give the perception of having more strength.

Not that I know anything about it.

I love the South Park episode where Cartman is dressed as Hitler for Halloween, so the school sees the need to re-educate him. Well that's definitely a question worthy of public consideration. Unfortunately it has never been debated, the government did this throughout the Cold War and up to the present without ever having a vote on the matter.

446 417 Typically, the grassroots or more accurate faux grassroots groups adopted a color represent their movement like a banner or a flag.

Colors aren't always used, there was the Rose Revolution in Georgia back in the early 2000s where we were likely involved as well, but there is always a theme.

ah. so it's kind of like how the most important part of starting an open-source project is picking a mascot.

449 I think it was grassroots, but who the hell knows now.

None of the tactics of color revolutions are original, it's more that color revolutions are a collection of things that are known to have been effective.

Another one is having complete media control where they all broadcast the same ideology in lockstep. That sounds familiar.

453 I love the South Park episode where Cartman is dressed as Hitler for Halloween, so the school sees the need to re-educate him. They show him a movie that starts out "Adolf Hitler was a very naughty man." That's really all today's youth can tell you - Hitler=Naughty. Why? Whatever you want to ascribe to him, that you think is naughty, is OK by today's educators.

You know me well enough to know my heart on Anti-Semitism.

Serious question, assume for the sake of argument that the Azovs love Jews etc etc.

Is fascism as a political and economic system opprobrious enough it is a wrong absent the monstrosities aimed at the Jews?

I personally would say passionately "yes" it is a socialist system that crushes liberty every bit that communism does.

I don't think GloboHomo views it the same, and I know China does not.

456 The Nazis in Ukraine were always anti-Russian, that's why we made use of them. It's our equivalent of Russian communist front(or open) groups.

The Holodomor will do that to a folk. What has honestly surprised me, if I'm reading between the lines correctly, is how ethnic Ukrainians and Russians have moved beyond that. And "that" isn't all that old - less than a century.

I suspect we hide the aspirations of our useful militants.
It doesn't take rampant and overwhelming support to undermine a nation. It takes tyrannical people willing to kill, or to destroy people financially by "cancel culture".

Prediction.. f9od shortages as all eastern European grains are pulled from international markets or destroyed in wars. Rising cost if fertilizers due to petroleum price hikes and scarcity results in nationalization of farms and an immediate release of strategic grain stockpiles and a loaf of bread at $15.
